Lu Ye unsheathed the Inviolable Saber and ran it across his finger. Using his blood, he wrote down a name on the Tracking Disc. At the same time, he thought about the target’s information in his mind.

The next instant, the Tracking Disc radiated a red glow as the compass needle spun momentarily before stopping.

Looking in the direction where the needle pointed, Lu Ye said, “Let’s go.”

Three figures shot through the Void. Around two hours later, they hovered somewhere above the Passionless Mountain.

Presently, the Tracking Disc in Lu Ye’s hand kept spinning. It wasn’t that it had malfunctioned. It showed that their target was right below them.

After keeping the Tracking Disc, Lu Ye looked down but couldn’t discover anything.

“All of you, stay here,” Lu Ye ordered and descended. Soon enough, he landed on the ground and activated his Divine Ego to scan his surroundings.

A while later, he detected the aura of a living person deep beneath the ground. The person was their target this time. He then looked around and saw a rock face with some Wards in front of it.

However, these Wards were simple and crude in Lu Ye’s eyes. It was obvious that the target wasn’t well-versed in the Way of Wards.

He wasn’t in a hurry to make a move. Instead, he kept surveying the area. A moment later, he beckoned to Xiao Xinghe and Lin Yinxiu, who were waiting in mid-air. He told Xiao Xinghe to stay there and took Lin Yinxiu to another place.

The target this time was pretty shrewd, so there was more than one exit in his hiding place. Every exit was well-hidden. An average Real Lake Realm Master might not discover anything. However, as Lu Ye scanned the surroundings with his Divine Ego, the routes of the passageway were easily exposed.

Soon enough, Lin Yinxiu was ready as she waited in front of that exit.

Only then did Lu Ye head to the third exit and gently knock on Amber’s forehead.

Yi Yi emerged from Amber’s body. Without a need for an exchange of words, she knew what was on Lu Ye’s mind.

“Be careful,” Lu Ye said.

“Yes,” Yi Yi replied meekly and snuck into the ground.

It was in the middle of the night. The sounds of reptiles and birds reverberated across the place.

All of a sudden, Yi Yi was heard shouting from underground, “I’m from the Law Enforcement Hall. You’re busted, Chu Yue. Surrender right away!”

Lu Ye found it funny as he could imagine Yi Yi barking out such an order with her adorable appearance.

She must’ve been influenced by Geng Wuwang. The last time Lu Ye tagged along with Team A3 to carry out a mission, Geng Wuwang had said something similar.

As soon as Yi Yi finished speaking, violent fluctuations of Spiritual Powers could be felt coming from underground. Lu Ye sensed it with his Divine Ego and discovered that, after the guy named Chu Yue attacked Yi Yi, he madly ran in a different direction.

That direction was where Lin Yinxiu was waiting, so Lu Ye hurriedly went over.

As soon as he arrived, he saw a figure leaving the exit covered with Wards. Following that, Lin Yinxiu summoned something.

It was a treasure that looked like a net. Although Chu Yue was well-prepared, he still couldn’t fend it off. He was instantly caught up in the net.

Just as he was ready to struggle out of it, Lu Ye charged forward and landed a kick on him.

Struck by the attack, Chu Yue, who was trapped in the net, crashed into a tree with a boom and broke it in half.

“Tighten!” Lin Yinxiu shouted. As she activated her Spiritual Power, the net started tightening. Regardless of how hard Chu Yue tried to resist, it was futile.

A saber was unsheathed as Lu Ye placed it at Chu Yue’s neck and demanded, “If you dare resist again, I’ll kill you right here!”

Those from the Law Enforcement Hall had a right to kill the targets, especially when the targets refused to be cooperative. Therefore, it was fine for Lu Ye to end this person’s life right there and then.

When Chu Yue detected Lu Ye’s murderous intent, he finally stopped resisting. Restricted by the net, he glanced at Lu Ye and let out a sigh of relief. “The day has come at last…”

Clothes could be heard flapping in the air. When Xiao Xinghe arrived and saw what was going on, he set his mind at ease.

Lu Ye looked at the exhausted Chu Yue and said impassively, “Behave yourself if you don’t want to get killed. If you dare resist, I’ll kill you straight away. Do you get it?”

“Since I’ve been captured, I’ll stop struggling.” Chu Yue nodded. He had resigned himself to fate. “When I go to jail, I still stand a chance to survive. But if I resist here, I’ll be doomed. I understand that fully well.”

Lu Ye nodded and put his saber back into the sheath.

Since they had captured the target, there was no longer a need for them to stay there. Lu Ye then led his team to return to Grand Sky City even though it was in the middle of the night.

Chu Yue had indeed resigned himself to fate. He didn’t try to struggle along the way while confined to Lin Yinxiu’s net.

He didn’t even speak either. Perhaps he felt it was pointless to talk to those from the Law Enforcement Hall.

Two days later, they arrived at Grand Sky City. Since they had captured the target, the person naturally had to be sent to jail.

The three of them parted ways. Xiao Xinghe and Lin Yinxiu were responsible for sending Chu Yue to the prison while Lu Ye headed straight to the Hunting Pavilion.

“Huh?” The chubby old man was shocked to see Lu Ye. “Why are you back so soon? The task…”

“The task has been completed.” Lu Ye passed him the jade slip he had picked up from here previously.

The old man was startled. “You’re pretty lucky.”

He understood how difficult the task was and felt that if Lu Ye and the others wanted to complete the task, it would take them ten days to half a month at the very least. It was also likely that they would fail. Much to his surprise, Lu Ye and his team returned in just five days.

Excluding the time they had spent travelling between the two places, they were amazingly efficient. It could be said that they were extremely lucky.

“Senior, how many battle points do we get for completing such a task?” Lu Ye asked.

“Around 50,000 battle points,” replied the old man.

Lu Ye felt his eyelids twitching. They only earned around 50,000 battle points for the task, but he had used a Tracking Disc which cost 30,000 battle points. In other words, they had spent five days carrying out the task, but they only earned about 20,000 battle points, which had to be shared among three people. The gain was meagre.

One had to know that he could earn 5,000 battle points a day by making Explosive Fire Spirit Stones.

However, his earnings couldn’t be regarded as the norm. To other Real Lake Realm Masters, such a gain was pretty good.

It was easy for Lu Ye to earn battle points, but it was a different story for Xiao Xinghe. Some things couldn’t be measured in numbers.

“Give me another task,” Lu Ye said.

Naturally, the old man wouldn’t turn him down. He fished out the jade slips he had shown Lu Ye before. Lu Ye took a brief look at them and randomly picked up one before leaving the Hunting Pavilion.

Then, he turned left and walked across 300 metres before entering the Ministry of Laws.

When Qian Wudang registered his presence, he was surprised. “I’ve received reports from the Hunting Pavilion and the prison. You’ve done a great job.”

“Sir, I’ve come here for a request.”

“Tell me about it first.” Qian Wudang instantly kept his guard up.

Previously, Lu Ye asked for a token from him to freely recruit his members. In the end, Liu Yuemei was almost killed by Tang Yi Feng. Following that experience, Qian Wudang was wary of any request that Lu Ye would come up with.

“From now on, I won’t take any battle points after completing the tasks. All the battle points shall be given to my team members.”

Qian Wudang was shocked. “You want none at all?”

Lu Ye nodded. “Can it be achieved?”

He knew that battle points were given by the Heavens, not Qian Wudang. However, people in power like Qian Wudang and Nian Yuexian were able to have a hand in this.

For example, following the war at Lone Cloud City Pass, if not for the fact that Nian Yuexian had handed in a request to the Heavens, Lu Ye wouldn’t have acquired a large number of battle points.

“It’ll likely be approved.” Qian Wudang nodded and glanced at Lu Ye. “It’s a good thing that you look after your team members, but what about you?”

“Sir, you know that I don’t lack battle points. As my power increases, I’ll be more efficient at making Explosive Fire Spirit Stones. It’s easy for me to earn battle points.”

“You have a point.” Qian Wudang acknowledged his statement.

No other Real Lake Realm Masters could earn over 200,000 battle points a month. Just like what Lu Ye had said, as his power increased, he would be more efficient at making Explosive Fire Spirit Stones, and he’d earn more battle points as well.

“Alright. I’ve agreed to it and will submit the request to the Heavens. However, it’s not up to me to make a decision.”

“Thanks, Sir. I’ll take my leave now.”

Lu Ye wasn’t in a hurry to return to his residence. Instead, he went to the Sanctum of Providence and spent some Contribution points to purchase a Spirit Boat that could accommodate seven to eight people. Then, he entered the Hall of Battle Points and bought some Tracking Discs.

By the time he was back in the courtyard, Xiao Xinghe and Lin Yinxiu had returned. Upon registering his presence, they went over to greet him.

An elated Lin Yinxiu said, “Team Leader, I’ve earned close to 30,000 battle points for this task!”

Despite her age, it was her first time working so hard to earn battle points for herself. Naturally, she was joyful.

On the other hand, Xiao Xinghe was puzzled. “Junior Brother, are the battle points wrongly distributed? It’s too much.”

Although he knew little about the Law Enforcement Hall, he had estimated that it would be good enough for him to earn around 10,000 battle points. It might even be less than that. That was the reason he was puzzled as to why he had earned close to 30,000 battle points.

“A task like that has been stuck there for a long time. Although it’s not so difficult to complete the task, its reward is handsome. Moreover, battle points are distributed by the Heavens. There’s no way it’s a mistake.” Lu Ye came up with an excuse.

He felt that Qian Wudang was an efficient person, and the Heavens had approved his request, which was why all the battle points for the task were given to Xiao Xinghe and Lin Yinxiu. It was the outcome Lu Ye wanted.

Although Xiao Xinghe was doubtful, he felt that Lu Ye had a point. Contribution points and battle points were distributed by the Heavens, so there was no way there was any mistake. As such, he set his mind at ease.

“Team Leader, when are we going to carry out the next task?” Lin Yinxiu asked expectantly.

Following the successful completion of the task, she had fallen in love with the feeling of working hard for her cultivation resources. It was a feeling she had never experienced.

In the past, Qian Wudang would provide all the cultivation resources for her, so she didn’t have to do anything. She just had to focus on cultivating her power. It was the same when she was on the Spirit Creek Battlefield. As for the Cloud River Battlefield, she had never been there.
