Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Yes, completely unscathed!

Even where it was directly hit by the nuclear missile, not a single white mark was left!

It’s over!

Humanity is completely doomed!

Such a thought flashed through Admiral Douglas’s mind.

He was acutely aware that once humanity’s most powerful nuclear weapon became ineffective, humans had actually fallen into the abyss of extinction, just waiting to be buried and perish!

The remaining senior officers all looked ashen, and some were even trembling in shock and terror. What Admiral Douglas could think of, these senior officers could naturally imagine as well. They understood that in the face of such a powerful advanced alien civilization’s invasion, the extinction of humanity was only a matter of time!

...

On the internet.

Countless netizens already knew that Old Ugly had launched a powerful nuclear missile.

There were also netizens who somehow got the information and disclosed the yield of this nuclear missile to everyone.

For a time, the netizens were extremely excited, but no one spoke, because they were too tense.

They were so nervous that they feared even breathing, talking, or typing would affect the missile’s accuracy.

This was humanity’s last hope, the ultimate weapon!

No, it was not a weapon, but the potential for the continuation of the human race, the last key to the shackles of human freedom!

Everyone understood one thing: if this super high-yield nuclear weapon failed to achieve success, either humanity would be entirely wiped out by aliens, or they would have to obediently become the ”enslaved” subjects of the Ancestral Gods.

Neither of these options was what they wanted.

Naturally, they fervently hoped that this nuclear missile would hit the Cosmic Battleship high above New York.

As for whether it could destroy it upon impact, frankly, no one had considered such a question.

This is no joke.

What concept is a 25-million-ton yield nuclear weapon?

Aside from the Ancestral Gods, comparable to the True God, what substance in the Cosmos could withstand such a tremendous power?

In the gaze of everyone’s anticipation!

In the tension of eight billion people around the world!

Finally, that enormous nuclear missile hit the top of the Cosmic Battleship with precision.

Immediately, a blazing light illuminated the sky above New York City.

It was like a second sun, scattering its light for thousands of miles.

People a bit closer to New York saw it!

Even those far away who didn’t witness the scene were informed by others of what happened.

”It hit!”

”The nuclear missile hit the alien’s Cosmic Battleship with precision!”

”Haha, great! Great! The nuclear missile finally hit the alien’s Cosmic Battleship, we don’t have to die now!”

”Yes, no matter how powerful the alien Cosmic Battleship is, it can’t withstand the explosion of a 25-million-ton yield nuclear missile!”

”Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic!”

”I’m going to celebrate later!”

”Technology is the primary productive force, the magical tool for safeguarding the continuation of the human race!”

”Wow, we don’t have to die after all. I initially thought only the Ancestral Gods could sweep away these aliens, but it turns out nuclear weapons can do it!”

”Don’t mention the Ancestral Gods anymore; they just want us to be desperate enough to beg him for help, then he can defeat the aliens, making us submit to his tyranny even if we are unwilling because of the enormous gratitude.”

”I know that after this, we humans still can’t escape submitting, but Ancestral Gods, you will never get my sincere submission, only forced compliance!”

While cheering fanatically online, the netizens also expressed their inner feelings to the Ancestral Gods, saying they would never sincerely submit.

Unfortunately, their joy didn’t last long.

Or rather, none of the eight billion humans globally were happy for much longer.

About a minute or two later.

The power of the nuclear explosion gradually dissipated.

Allowing people to clearly see what had happened inside the fireball.

The answer was - nothing had happened!

That enormous Cosmic Battleship still remained unaffected, hovering above New York City!

This news spread even faster than the nuclear missile hitting the Cosmic Battleship.

It spread across the internet like a quantum leap.

Instantly, the worldwide network’s previous sporadic cheer fell totally silent.

Billions of global netizens, countless social websites, at that moment, not a single comment was made.

The eeriness was as if Earth had hit a pause button, and time had completely stopped.

This situation only lasted for less than three seconds.

The next moment, an overwhelming flood of comments, messages all sprang up like mushrooms after rain.

This time, the online discourse was completely different from just one or two minutes ago.

There was no longer any cheering, nor any disrespect towards the Ancestral Gods.

Because... the whole world was desperate enough to beg the Ancestral Gods for salvation!

”Wah wah, Ancestral God, please save us!”

”We are willing to accept your rule, truly, please save us humans!”

”I no longer dare to doubt you, fully believing you have saved Earth once before, please love us humans once more, we’re begging you!”

”Ancestral God, as long as you save humanity, I’ll become your servant, absolutely without any complaints!”
