Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

”It’s too much of a coincidence.”

”Yes, the gamma-ray bursts are too coincidental, the alien civilization is too coincidental as well. I suspect that from the very beginning it was all a deception. The Ancestral Gods always intended to become the sole rulers of Earth, so they fabricated the false news of an impending gamma-ray burst, deceiving us in a series of ways to make the whole world worried and beg them to become the masters. However, when someone exposed that they might have such intentions, they had no choice but to retreat and declared they weren’t interested in Earth at the time. Then they deliberately created a false scenario of an incoming gamma-ray burst, ending with them seemingly saving the Earth, to claim credit and aspire to become the rulers of humanity. Furthermore, to prevent any rebellion, they fabricated the rumor of a super powerful cosmic civilization coveting our solar system. We have no way of knowing what’s true or false, so we can only be manipulated.”

Someone raised a question, feeling that whether it’s the earlier gamma-ray burst, the supposed saving of the world, or the recent speech by the Ancestral Gods about the alien civilization, it’s all lies, a massive conspiracy.

George had been silent until he heard a plump middle-aged man among them analyzing and asked, ”Aside from the matter of the alien civilization which is still debatable, the arrival of gamma-ray bursts and the Ancestral Gods repelling them to save the world were all captured by our probes and artificial satellites. On what grounds do you believe this is a scam?”

”Yeah.”

”Those images were captured by our probes and artificial satellites.”

”How could they be fake?”

The other bigshots also questioned the ”scam” theory.

The middle-aged man who previously spoke glanced at everyone, then sneered and said, ”George, do you remember going to the Ancestral Gods’ super base and experiencing the incredibly realistic ’Cyberspace’? You told us that there was a very advanced super artificial intelligence in the Ancestral Gods’ super base. So, do you think there’s a possibility that they used that super artificial intelligence to invade our network and then simulated the scenario of a gamma-ray burst hitting and the Ancestral Gods saving the world through ’Cyberspace’?”

These words brought silence to the whole venue.

Whether it was George or the remaining bigshots, each exchanged glances, seeing deep suspicion in each other’s eyes.

Indeed, the technological level mastered by the Ancestral Gods far exceeds that of various countries around the world.

If that super artificial intelligence unknowingly invaded the networks of probes and artificial satellites worldwide and used ”Cyberspace” to simulate and fabricate images of an approaching gamma-ray burst and the Ancestral Gods saving the world, it doesn’t seem impossible.

Now the Ancestral Gods have proposed becoming the sole dominators of the world.

It seems everything matches!

George and the group of bigshots exchanged a glance and couldn’t help but feel that all the events happening these days are likely a ”scheme” laid by the Ancestral Gods!

Although George shared the same thoughts as everyone else, thinking the whole Earth might have fallen into the Ancestral Gods’ ”trap,” he sighed and asked, ”Even if all of this is a ’trap’ set by the Ancestral Gods, what can we do now?”

When he raised this question, the initially noisy scene fell silent again.

Indeed.

Even if it’s a trap set by the Ancestral Gods, what can they do now?

Could they rise up and fight against the Ancestral Gods?

Everyone knows they’re no match for the Ancestral Gods.

The only outcome of doing so is being wiped out by the Ancestral Gods before even getting ”exiled” into cosmic space!

A sense of powerlessness deeply arose within George and the dozen ”Old Ugly” bigshots at the scene.

They realized that even if they saw through the ”cunning plan” of the Ancestral Gods, they could only raise their hands in surrender and accept being enslaved by them in the end.

Similar situations were playing out among countries worldwide.

...

Big Goose.

”Hearing your analysis, it does seem like a hoax indeed.”

”Now that we’ve seen through their hoax, how should we respond?”

”What can we do? Besides raising our hands in surrender, is there any other way to resist?”

...

United Kingdom.

”The Ancestral Gods are too treacherous!”

”Yes! Using gamma-ray bursts, saving the Earth, and alien civilizations to force us into submission, such actions are utterly vile!”

”Aren’t they... Hey, we were having a nice chat, why are you leaving suddenly? Where are you going?”

”Oh, since resistance is futile, I’m planning to go home and write an article pledging allegiance to the Ancestral Gods to show that I’ve completely submitted to them.”

”...”

”...”

...

Africa.

”The Ancestral Gods want to rule the world. What should we do?”

”What can we do? Although I feel that all the events that happened earlier might be a conspiracy, we really can’t win against them. If you want to survive, just obediently submit.”

...

Australia.

”Alas, we still fell into the Ancestral Gods’ cunning scheme!”

”Forget it, complaining is useless. It’s better to think about how to gain benefits first after submitting to them.”

...

One country!

Ten countries!

Tens to hundreds of countries!

In just a short moment after the press conference ended.

A group of bigshots, despite their anger and displeasure, passed an important resolution.

That is, no matter how much they disapprove or how unhappy they are, they can only obediently surrender.

It’s not that no one thought of resisting, but anyone with a bit of sense knows what the result of defiance would be.

Whether the Ancestral Gods truly have the power to repel gamma-ray bursts is now questionable, and everyone thinks it remains debatable.

However, the incidents where they summoned an asteroid to sink a certain Island Country and transformed into the Heaven-Shocking Demon God to sink a peninsula were true events.

Everyone knows that the Ancestral Gods, possessing such horrifying power, cannot be countered by Earthly civilization.

Thus, even amid doubts about whether everything that happened earlier was not a hoax, once they learned that the Ancestral Gods wanted to rule Earth, they could only agree to it with reluctant acceptance.

This is the decision of the bigshots from various countries.

As for netizens, their reactions are almost identical to those of the bigshots.

On a certain social media site.

A group of netizens were angrily denouncing.

”Damn it!”

”Conspiracy! Previous events must have been a conspiracy!”

”I suspect there never was such a thing as an impending gamma-ray burst, nor did the Ancestral Gods save the world!”

”Their elaborate plan, the real purpose was to rule the world! And I foolishly thought before that they weren’t interested in ruling Earth, but it turns out they just needed a valid justification. Anyway, we have no idea if the gamma-ray burst actually happened, nor if they really saved the world. They already have plenty of grand reasons, and we can’t even refute it. It truly feels sorrowful!”

”But what can feeling sorrowful achieve? Do you have any way to resist?”

”Forget it, since they want to rule Earth, we are powerless to resist; we might as well agree to it.”

”What else can we do if not agree? Do you want to fight against them?”

”They clearly said it, this is an announcement to the whole Earth, not a negotiation with us!”

Netizens felt aggrieved as well.

They felt they had fallen into the Ancestral Gods’ plot.

As a result, now not only does the other party have the power to rule Earth, but they also possess the moral high ground.

What did the Ancestral Gods say?

As long as everyone agrees to their rule, they would deal with the alien civilization that harbors ill intentions towards our solar system.

Whether such an alien civilization exists, no one knows for sure at the moment.

But there’s one thing they are certain about: if all the countries in the world truly reject this demand, even without such an alien civilization, the Ancestral Gods would use their extraordinary might to manufacture a scenario akin to an alien invasion of Earth, thus forcing submission.

In everyone’s minds, they thought it impossible for aliens to really invade.

It’s all a lie by the Ancestral Gods, a great deceit to make them obediently surrender.

Though amongst the world’s eight billion people, the vast majority, like George, the Great Emperor, and other bigshots, believe they have seen through the lies of the Ancestral Gods, the final discussion still led to the decision to submit to their rule.

No way around it.

The Ancestral Gods hold the power.

They really are unbeatable!

Indeed, the whole world thinks so.

Despite feeling indignant, subordination is a must.

In the face of absolute power, they can only swallow their grievances and submit!
