Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

And the union of a sperm and an egg, just because of the ”calcium spark” phenomenon, can it bestow a soul?

Lu Li found it perplexing and couldn’t quite comprehend it in a short time.

At this moment, Liu Kexin’s gentle voice came to his ear, ”...Ancient people believed that the three souls were the Heavenly Soul, Earth Soul, and Human Soul. The Heavenly Soul ascends to the Celestial Road, so if a person dies, the ancients thought that since the Heavenly Soul is connected to the physical body, it cannot return to its origin and is taken up to the holding place on the Space Celestial Road, temporarily detained by the main god, which is the so-called ’Celestial Prison,’ the Earth Soul descends to the Underworld, where it knows all the causes and effects and faces judgment, while the Human Soul lingers at the grave...”

Her chatter wasn’t finished yet.

Lu Li suddenly thought of something and interrupted, ”Repeat what you just said about the Heavenly Soul.”

Liu Kexin slightly raised her head to look at his profile and obediently repeated, ”I said the ancient people believed that the Heavenly Soul, because of its connection to the physical body, cannot return to its origin and is taken to the holding place on the Space Celestial Road, temporarily detained by its main god.”

Origin?

Space Celestial Road?

Lu Li seemed to understand something, ”Wait, don’t speak for a moment, I’m contemplating some things.”

Liu Kexin hummed in agreement and closed her mouth.

Lu Li once again searched for a couple in the act, then divided his attention into two parts, one to observe the moment of fusion between sperm and egg, the other to sense the void.

He wanted to know whether the soul is truly ”bestowed.”

Or perhaps, is it simply the product of cellular union?

If the soul is produced merely from the union of cells, then Lu Li must delve deeper into biological studies, considering a series of chemical reactions.

But if it is indeed influenced externally and ”bestowed,” he might genuinely uncover some secrets of the world’s origin.

It wasn’t long before one part of Lu Li’s focus observed that the Black couple had finished.

For some, fertilization might take two to three days.

Lu Li was fairly lucky and saw fertilization succeeded within a few minutes.

The initial scene seemed no different from what he’d observed before; a ”calcium spark” occurred, and then fertilization succeeded.

The difference was that Lu Li’s other focused part observed that the moment the ”calcium spark” was born, it seemed as if a force was stirring in the void!

And this great force didn’t seem to belong to the structure of this Cosmos, but rather as if it came from a higher dimension!

”From a higher dimension?”

Lu Li gathered all the energy and concentrated it, then based on the earlier situation, attempted to use the method of focusing force on one point to break through the dimension’s ”barrier.”

The energy kept accumulating, continuously surging toward the ”void”!

Initially, it seemed as though the amount of energy was too little, as a large portion of it ”entered the void” without eliciting any response.

However, as the energy kept gathering and crashing, Lu Li indeed noticed that the dimension’s ”barrier” seemed to have a slight crack.

In the next moment, he saw an awe-inspiring scene.

He saw through the ”barrier crack” to the outside, a boundless, possibly infinitely small, space filled with countless possible immense, or possibly smaller-than-sand ”lights.”

Instinctively, Lu Li had the intuition that these ”lights” were universes!

He was momentarily stunned, ”Outside the ’barrier’ of our universe dimension, does there exist a ’magical space’ filled with endless universes?”

No, it cannot be called space, that place has no time, no space, no matter, besides the endless lights, nothing else exists.

But peculiarly, he had a feeling, although he felt those lights were universes, at the same time he sensed that they actually did not exist.

That was a very contradictory feeling.

”If each of those lights represents a universe, then my earlier fleeting glimpse reveals that it is filled with more lights than water in the sea. Does that mean, besides the universe we inhabit, there are actually countless other universes in existence?”

Lu Li couldn’t find the words to describe the marvelous place he had just seen.

He could only use a term from a network novel he had read before, ”I Am the Only True Immortal in the World”—the Cosmic Mother Sea!

”Is that the ’cradle’ where universes are continually born?”

Lu Li was momentarily confused.

He hadn’t even fully explored how vast the universe he was currently in was.

Yet, he discovered that outside the universe, there might exist a Cosmic Mother Sea birthing countless universes?

This made him greatly question his perception of the world for the first time.

”Although I cannot temporarily understand what exactly that extremely probable Cosmic Mother Sea is, today’s observation indirectly validated my previous idea that there are higher dimensions beyond our world.”

When Lu Li had just completed his sixth deep evolution and touched upon the ”laws” of the universe, he had vaguely sensed that there were higher dimensions outside the universe we reside in.

Before, he couldn’t confirm whether this perception was accurate.

But today, after that fleeting glimpse, he finally validated his previous perception.

Even though he exhausted his energy trying to break the dimension’s ”barrier,” at this moment, his spirit was exceptionally excited.

Lu Li pondered one thing, ”If I hypothesize that what I just saw was the Cosmic Mother Sea, then who exactly created it, or what kind of natural power forged it?”

He had a persistent feeling that his ability to evolve infinitely might be related to the ”great force” that forged the Cosmic Mother Sea.

”My current power is still somewhat weak, unable to observe more circumstances.”

Lu Li contemplated, ”Perhaps, when I complete the seventh deep evolution, I could hope to observe more situations.”

When this thought emerged, his mind changed again.

”Eh, I’m no longer evolving physically now, yet I still feel I can evolve infinitely, so what form will the seventh deep evolution take?”

Physical evolution has traces to follow.

Having moved beyond the physical realm, Lu Li truly couldn’t imagine what it would be like.

Just as he was thinking, Liu Kexin’s slightly tired voice came to his ear, ”Honey, you’ve been contemplating for over an hour, I’m a bit tired, I’ll sleep without waiting for you to talk to me.”

Lu Li looked down, affectionately stroked her hair, ”Mm, you go ahead and sleep, I’ll think some more.”

”Okay.” Liu Kexin lay down to the side, closed her eyes, and prepared to sleep peacefully.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes again, turned to ask, ”Are you ready for your speech at the press conference tomorrow?”

Lu Li replied, ”I’m ready. Go to sleep.”

Liu Kexin murmured, ”Okay.”

She said nothing more and lay down quietly to sleep.

Lu Li glanced at the peacefully breathing Liu Kexin and stopped contemplating the Cosmic Mother Sea.

He was certain he couldn’t understand what was going on right now.

Instead of that, he might as well conserve energy and ponder other matters.

”Tomorrow, when I announce my intent to become Earth’s ’Master,’ I wonder how much resistance it would trigger.”

Lu Li believed that even if he saved the world this time, declaring his desire to become the ”Eternal Star Lord” would still provoke many people to fight desperately.

This was very normal, after all, many people in various nations have immersed themselves in civilization for a long time, who would wish for a sudden ”emperor” over them?

”No matter how many oppose, for the sake of human civilization’s future, I must do this!”

Lu Li narrowed his eyes slightly, ”No one can stop me, if necessary, I won’t hesitate to carry out iron-fisted suppression and a bloody massacre!”

At this moment, he firmly resolved to become the ”Eternal Star Lord.”

Having finished contemplating these matters, Lu Li recalled the Cosmic Mother Sea’s fleeting glimpse again.

”Although I still haven’t discovered the true essence of life, observing the existence of the Cosmic Mother Sea unexpectedly is a decent gain, I suppose.”

Perhaps after he evolves a few more times, it will no longer just be about becoming the ”Eternal Star Lord,” but potentially the ”Master of All Worlds” in existence!
