F1: The Speed Legend

Calculation. Provocation. Tyranny. Dominance. Razor-sharp precision.

The relentless, suffocating entanglement from the Number 22 Ferrari had been ongoing for over twenty-five agonizing laps. Hamilton’s boiling passion had slowly, methodically tightened and escalated, gradually mutating into profound frustration, irritation, and blind fury. It accumulated like dense, heavy sludge in his chest. Yet, he continued to fiercely suppress it, strictly maintaining his icy composure. However, his nerves were stretched completely taut, lacking a single millimeter of slack. He was exactly like a violin string stretched to its absolute breaking point.

And then.

A sudden feint. A brilliant, deceitful parlor trick. So incredibly arrogant, so impossibly brazen. The horrific clown finally lunged forward with absolute tyrannical confidence, violently striking that over-tightened string.

Pluck.

Hamilton’s brain instantly went completely blank. He stared helplessly as that vibrant, brilliant flash of scarlet cleanly, ruthlessly dove directly for the apex of the hairpin. The violent aerodynamic turbulence, the deafening roar of the engines... everything suddenly seemed to play out in ten-times slow motion. The unique, magical property of the Turn 6 hairpin—forcing the cars to violently decelerate from 300 km/h down to a crawling 80 km/h—perfectly facilitated this surreal distortion of time. It felt exactly as though the slow, agonizing crawl of the corner was actively, sadistically mocking Hamilton’s boiling rage, highlighting exactly how foolish, clumsy, and utterly pathetic his current predicament was.

Steering input. Hard left.

Wheel-to-wheel! King versus King!

The tip of the needle against the awn of the wheat!

And then, it happened. That flash of silver violently jerked in the stifling air. A sudden twitch, followed by a violent swerve. He aggressively chopped from the right side of the track directly toward the left. Squeezing. Confronting. Blocking. Attempting to force a massive collision.

In a fraction of a second, the entire world hit the pause button—

Wolff froze. Binotto gasped. Horner’s eyes widened in horror. Hubert violently leaped out of his chair.

”Lewis Hamilton!” Crofty barely managed to scream the name before the rest of his frantic commentary became completely jammed in his throat.

Kai: A secondary defensive block under braking?

Heh.

It was so incredibly absurd, so utterly unexpected, and so fundamentally incomprehensible that Kai’s initial reaction wasn’t even anger. It was... profound disbelief.

So, Hamilton—the driver globally renowned for his ’clean,’ honorable racing style—was actually resorting to such a blatant, transparently illegal foul? And executing it using such an incredibly stupid, amateurish technique?

However, Kai didn’t flinch. Not only did he refuse to back down, his grip on the steering wheel became exponentially tighter, completely resolute. He smoothly, continuously applied the throttle.

He didn’t lift! He didn’t adjust his trajectory! Projecting an aura of absolute, tyrannical authority, he blasted perfectly straight ahead!

In the span of a single, microscopic moment, the Number 22 car traveling in a perfectly straight line violently collided with the Number 44 car executing a sharp, illegal diagonal chop to the left.

”Contact!”

The crowd’s collective breath was violently severed. There wasn’t even time for a gasp of shock. The viscous, almost solidified air completely froze the moment in time. Every single brain in the venue completely lost its ability to process reality.

The massive reactionary force generated at the exact point of impact delivered a sharp, violent shove. The two cars collided and were instantly, violently repelled, violently bouncing away from each other. However, the incredibly slow, crawling speed of the Turn 6 hairpin significantly mitigated the kinetic energy of the impact. The scarlet and silver blurs appeared relatively unscathed. Refusing to yield a single inch, they stubbornly, relentlessly charged toward Turn 7.

A half-beat later, it became glaringly obvious that the impact had absolutely not been consequence-free—

The microscopic discrepancies were now terrifyingly apparent. During that violent contact, the Number 22 car had been significantly more resolute and vastly more robust. Maintaining an immovable, rock-solid forward momentum, Kai had flawlessly defended his position. First, he easily absorbed the aggressive impact of the Number 44 car’s illegal block. Then, continuing his relentless forward drive, he violently shoved and bulldozed the Number 44 car out of the way. The nose of the Mercedes was instantly, violently knocked outward.

Consequently, as they continued to accelerate, the Number 22 car remained perfectly planted, driving in a flawless straight line. The Number 44 car, however, had been shoved slightly to the right, its nose wobbling with significant instability.

Everything had violently changed.

Borreipaire instantly stopped breathing. His heart completely stopped beating. The radio channel was completely, deathly silent. There was zero explosive anger, zero sarcastic banter, zero mocking taunts. Absolutely nothing.

However, Borreipaire wasn’t entirely sure if he was simply projecting, but that profound silence seemed to radiate Kai’s absolute, unadulterated fury. It was a terrifying, physical energy that completely transcended verbal communication. It blasted straight into the stratosphere, propelling the chassis forward with unstoppable, tyrannical momentum toward Turn 7. The sheer intensity of it caused Borreipaire to unconsciously clench his fists, his entire body going rigidly tense.

VROOM! VROOM!

Perfectly straight. Flawlessly stable. The Number 22 car transformed into a streak of pure light. Fiercely arrogant, wildly unrestrained, it blasted forward. The true, authentic nature that Kai constantly, meticulously suppressed had completely snapped its reins. It was unleashed with absolute, terrifying freedom. A brilliant youth riding a majestic warhorse, operating with total lawlessness. The inherent rebellion and absolute, tyrannical arrogance carved deep into his bones radiated a blinding, magnificent light.

The roaring engine, carrying a massive, suffocating wave of heat and tyrannical aggression, violently slammed into Hamilton. It felt exactly like a sledgehammer striking directly against his heart. His entire body went instantly, rigidly tense. But there was absolutely zero time for regret, and zero time for fury. Nothing remained but a single, absolute conviction: the conviction to charge forward and defend his position until the bitter end.

Hamilton executed a rapid, microscopic steering correction, violently wrestling the oscillating chassis back into line. He hugged the barrier, fiercely defending the inside line, and executed a massive, desperate late-braking maneuver—

At this exact moment, he completely abandoned all concern regarding his massive front tire degradation and his highly unstable front axle. He utilized every single ounce of his vast championship experience and pure instinct in a desperate bid to completely seal off all available overtaking trajectories. He essentially parked the silver Number 44 car diagonally across the entire apex of the corner.

Absolute resolve! Absolute aggression!

However!

Kai didn’t stubbornly attempt to muscle his way down the inside.

The Number 22 car completely, utterly ignored the frantic, desperate defensive posture of the Number 44. Kai focused entirely on his own trajectory. He completely disregarded his opponent’s braking point. Operating entirely according to his own calculated rhythm, he executed his braking phase at his predetermined marker—perhaps even a fraction of a second earlier than anticipated. With absolute, unwavering resolve, he committed entirely to the outside line. The wider trajectory offered vastly more operational space and a significantly smoother, less aggressive cornering arc. His tires fiercely bit into the asphalt. His steering inputs remained as stable as a mountain. He was actively prioritizing a vastly superior, highly stable mid-corner rhythm.

The visual contrast was profoundly bizarre—

The Number 22 car appeared to be utilizing classic Mercedes-Benz tactics, while the Number 44 car looked exactly like a desperate, erratic Ferrari. The entire tactical dynamic had been completely, violently inverted, leaving the spectators entirely bewildered.

Hamilton noticed the anomaly instantly. He momentarily froze. Everything was unfolding exactly as he had predicted: Kai had formulated a comprehensive, multi-corner master plan. Turn 6 and Turn 7 were a single, unified tactical sequence. But after his initial plan was violently derailed, the sun and moon had swapped places. Kai fluidly rode the chaotic momentum, executing a flawless, 180-degree tactical pivot, entering Turn 7 utilizing a completely different, highly unexpected style.

Corner entry. The Number 44 car officially reclaimed the lead. It appeared as though Hamilton had successfully managed to violently shake off the suffocating pursuit of the Number 22.

Mid-corner. The massive, desperate late-braking maneuver the Number 44 had executed upon entry completely, violently shattered the stable, consistent rhythm Hamilton had meticulously established over the past twenty-plus laps. Even worse, the mechanical grip of his degraded front tires had begun to wildly oscillate. His entire mid-corner rhythm devolved into unprecedented, chaotic instability. In stark, glaring contrast, the Number 22 car was operating with terrifying stability and absolute, supreme confidence. Relying on an incredibly smooth, highly efficient rhythm, Kai slowly began to reel him back in. It wasn’t a sudden, explosive burst of speed; it was a continuous, relentless, suffocating delivery of power. Inch by agonizing inch, he was violently overturning the board—

The Mercedes-Benz absolutely did not look like a Mercedes-Benz. The Ferrari absolutely did not look like a Ferrari.

Within the claustrophobic confines of Turn 7, the two blurs of red and silver moved exactly like the fluid strokes of a brush wielded by Van Gogh, painting a spectacular, breathtakingly magnificent starry night across the asphalt.

And then.

Trapped on the highly compromised inside line, Hamilton was forced to heavily decelerate, agonizingly waiting for the nose of the chassis to finally complete its rotation. Operating on the vastly superior outside line, Kai maintained a perfectly fluid, continuous arc. It almost looked as though this had been his ultimate master plan from the very beginning. Even the sudden, violent collision in Turn 6 appeared to have been perfectly calculated into his overarching strategy, acting as the final knot in a massive, inescapable net he had meticulously laid out.

It felt as though an entire, agonizing century had passed, yet simultaneously felt like it had only lasted for a fleeting microsecond. The exit of Turn 7 was rapidly approaching. The entire world watched in absolute, breathless silence as that flash of scarlet successfully completed the overtake, blasting out of Turn 7 a crucial fraction of a second earlier than his rival.

WHOA!

”Kai!”

”Good god! Kai has officially seized the lead!”

”In Turn 7! Utilizing an absolutely unbelievable display of racing line control, Kai has successfully completed the overtake on Lewis Hamilton!”

As the silver and red blurs blasted out of Turn 7, the massive banner erected by the Monaco Grand Prix organizers to honor Niki Lauda was clearly visible on the barrier directly behind the corner—

”Danke, Niki!”

Crofty experienced a sudden, profound flash of inspiration. It was almost as if he could see a highly familiar, legendary soul operating inside that Number 22 cockpit. He screamed into the microphone, ”That was an absolutely vintage Niki Lauda overtake!”

Everything had occurred far too suddenly, far too violently. Before absolutely anyone could mentally prepare themselves, they had been violently sucked into the epicenter of the hurricane.

A single, fatal strike! Slitting the throat with lethal precision!

The hot-blooded adrenaline surged violently into their brains. Entire bodies trembled uncontrollably. They were fundamentally incapable of calming down. Yet, there was absolutely zero time to react. They simply stared, eyes wide as saucers, completely glued to the live broadcast feed, terrified of missing a single microscopic detail. Because the duel was absolutely not over—

Hamilton remained glued to Kai’s gearbox, stubbornly, relentlessly refusing to yield. He absolutely refused to surrender. Following his brief, mid-corner instability, he had still managed to salvage a highly respectable exit speed. He hadn’t been completely dropped. Immediately following that, Turn 8 violently rushed up to meet them.

The Portier section. Turn 8. A sharp 90-degree right-hander. Not only was it terrifyingly narrow, but the approach featured a massive, downhill plunge. It looked exactly like launching off a massive ski jump. The visual impact was terrifyingly intense. If a driver missed their braking point by even a fraction of a millimeter, they were guaranteed to engage in an incredibly intimate, high-speed collision with the concrete barrier.

Whether they were operating on the outside line or the inside line, the lethal danger was exactly the same!

In other words: Brake a microsecond too early, and your right-front tire slams into the apex barrier. Brake a microsecond too late, and your left-front tire violently kisses the outside retaining wall. Any microscopic deviation, and the claustrophobic, unforgiving streets of Monaco would gladly deliver a brutal, bloody lesson in physics.

It was precisely because of this terrifying, zero-margin reality that absolutely no one ever attempted to execute overtakes through the Turn 6 and Turn 7 complex.

Now, the ultimate, terrifying test of raw courage and absolute nerve had finally arrived!

...

One massive wave hadn’t even subsided before another violently crashed down upon them—

Two legendary grandmasters. A duel to the death at the absolute pinnacle of Mount Hua. A decisive battle on the roof of the Forbidden City. Absolutely neither man was willing to meekly surrender. There was zero time to breathe. The massive counter-attack had already commenced.

The silver chassis aggressively secured the inside line on the right. The scarlet chassis dominated the outside line on the left. The two blurs of light cascaded down the massive slope exactly like a raging waterfall. Refusing to yield a single inch, they ran perfectly side-by-side. The advantage shifted violently back and forth. The momentum could invert in a single, microscopic fraction of a second. Absolutely nothing was finalized.

The gasp of shock had barely escaped their lips before it was violently choked off a microsecond later. The crowd stared, utterly dumbfounded, at the live broadcast. They absolutely refused to blink, terrified of missing a single, microscopic detail.

Look! Kai subtly nudged his steering wheel slightly to the right, aggressively attempting to muscle his way straight down the middle. He meticulously left Hamilton exactly enough racing room to survive, yet simultaneously utilized his later braking point to violently pin Hamilton into a highly compromised trajectory. Projecting an aura of majestic, absolute resolve, Kai continued to surge forward.

Later—brake slightly later—

The continuously accelerating chassis utilized microscopic, hyper-precise adjustments to the steering angle to slowly, methodically compress the available racing line on the right. The braking point had been pushed to the absolute, terrifying theoretical limit. They were frantically probing the very edge of the cliff. The scorching, suffocating air felt as though it were solidifying. It was impossible to feel the wind, yet the brilliant, jewel-toned green waters of the harbor sparkled with a breathtaking, terrifying luminescence. It seemed to be actively calling out to their violently hammering hearts, urging them to plunge into the depths to escape this viscous, suffocating heat.

The world fell completely, deathly silent. Hearts were wedged so tightly in throats that absolutely no sound could escape.

Even later—

Nose-to-tail, side-by-side. Kai and Hamilton absolutely refused to touch the brakes. Clenching their jaws, they were violently challenging the absolute limits of human capability while teetering on the edge of life and death. Neither man was willing to compromise.

Hamilton: [BEEP]!

The kid’s lawless, tyrannical arrogance was absolutely blasting through the stratosphere. The entire harbor section was completely saturated with the insolent, rampant aggression of Ferrari red. He actually, genuinely refused to touch the brakes! Utilizing brilliant, highly cunning micro-adjustments to his steering angle, he secured the necessary margin of error to navigate the outer arc of the corner, while simultaneously, continuously, ruthlessly compressing and choking off Hamilton’s available racing room!

There was absolutely nowhere left to go!

At this exact microsecond, Hamilton absolutely had to brake! If he didn’t brake right now, he wouldn’t even possess the microscopic opportunity to attempt squeezing past the apex to survive Turn 8. He would violently slam directly into the wall!

He still wasn’t braking! That absolute lunatic actually still wasn’t braking! It was literally a fight to the death. In this exact, terrifying moment, they were genuinely facing a life-or-death decision!

Zero alternatives! Completely trapped!

Hamilton: ...

Finally, the Number 44 car slammed on the brakes!

Immediately following that, the Number 22 car also slammed on the brakes.

Look! That flash of scarlet continued to violently surge deep into the corner. The braking point had been pushed far, far past the absolute theoretical limit. It looked absolutely, mathematically certain that the car was going to continue its majestic, catastrophic trajectory and violently slam directly into the outside retaining wall of Turn 8. In the next microsecond, he was going to blast straight through the barrier and plunge directly into the raging ocean, authoring a legendary, horrific catastrophe that would be permanently immortalized in the history of the 2019 Monaco Grand Prix.

And then!

In the absolute final, terrifying microsecond. Brakes. Steering. Operating on the absolute edge of the abyss, executing an impossible, limit-shattering maneuver to violently pull the chassis back from the brink of destruction. Utilizing utterly incomprehensible car control to guide the nose of the chassis safely past the retaining wall lining the apex of Turn 8. The margin of error was so terrifyingly microscopic that, to the naked eye, the chassis and the wall appeared perfectly, seamlessly fused together. The hearts of the entire global audience instantly, violently detonated.

The red Ferrari transformed into a massive, violent hurricane, roaring past.

Flawless. Hyper-precise. Perfectly calibrated. Incredibly delicate. Absolute, lethal decisiveness. Clean and ruthless.

A microsecond later, as the chassis blasted out of Turn 8, the rear wing of the Number 22 car could be clearly seen twitching slightly. That massive, violent hurricane trembled for a brief second.

Without a single moment of hesitation, Kai aggressively fed the throttle, violently yanking the rear wing back down to the asphalt. Continuous, smooth power application. The engine roared. His speed was instantly violently thrust to the absolute limit.

However, the world fell completely silent. All the roaring, all the chaotic noise was completely sealed inside the tunnel. It echoed exactly like a phantom resonance. Only the violent turbulence of the air remained, surging forward, violently slapping against the skin. Through their fully opened pores, the spectators could viscerally feel the terrifying magnitude of the shockwave. Their entire bodies trembled involuntarily.

Thump—Thump—Thump—Thump—

The violent, hammering impacts against their eardrums became agonizingly slow and heavy. One beat, then another. They felt incredibly light, yet possessed a massive, crushing weight. They felt an overwhelming, involuntary urge to fall to their knees and worship.

Every single pair of eyes was unanimously, obsessively locked onto the exit of the tunnel.

Approaching rapidly, growing massively in size. The visceral roar of the engine finally snapped back into sharp clarity. A blinding, spectacular flash of light violently shattered the confines of the darkness, ripping through the heavy, ominous clouds, completely illuminating the entire world.

That was undeniably, unmistakably Ferrari red!

And directly behind it... that familiar, menacing flash of silver was nowhere to be seen!

Inhale. Exhale.

The Silver Arrow finally blasted into view. Mercedes-Benz was desperately attempting to give chase, but they had already fallen a massive one-and-a-half car lengths behind. The red and silver were now completely, fundamentally separated.

The victor was definitively decided.

This meant—

”Kai! He officially takes the lead of the 2019 Monaco Grand Prix!”

A single sentence. Delivered with seemingly effortless lightness, yet it detonated exactly like a massive, earth-shattering thunderclap.

AH!

Hubert let out a massive shout. But in the brief, fleeting microsecond after the sound escaped his lips, he froze. What exactly had they just witnessed? The massive, buzzing tidal wave inside his brain instantly swallowed all coherent thought.

Before he could even attempt to process reality, the very next microsecond, he was completely consumed by the massive, burning fanaticism of his heart exploding exactly like a massive firework.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Utilizing every single ounce of physical energy, burning his very soul, he unleashed his passion with absolute, uninhibited zero reservation. The two young men exchanged wild, bewildered glances. But their eyes remained completely filled with profound shock and utter bewilderment. Even though they had witnessed the miracle with their own eyes, they still fundamentally doubted reality. Their completely crashed brains were incapable of processing the event. A massive, violent shudder shot from the soles of their feet directly to the top of their skulls.

A wave of static electricity washed over their scalps.

How on Earth had Kai actually pulled that off?

AH! AHHHHHHHH!

A massive heatwave. A terrifying frenzy. It rivaled a massive thunderstorm.

The Ferrari pit garage was completely engulfed in absolute, unhinged madness. The Mercedes-Benz pit garage was plunged into profound, suffocating despair. The violent transition between paradise and hell had occurred in the span of a few brief, microscopic seconds.

Half inferno, half frozen ocean.

Borreipaire only just realized his entire body was completely, rigidly tense. He let out a long, shuddering exhale. ”Epic! Absolutely epic! Kai! An unbelievably phenomenal drive!”

He barely managed to get the words out before his eyes completely filled with hot tears. The massive, surging emotions in his chest simply refused to settle down. The remainder of his sentence became completely jammed in his throat.

Outsiders would absolutely never, ever truly understand exactly how many agonizing setbacks and massive difficulties Ferrari had endured recently. Exactly how much crushing pressure they had absorbed. Exactly how many terrifying trials they had faced. Agonizingly, painstakingly inching forward step by step. They had wavered, they had questioned themselves, they had engaged in brutal screaming matches... but they had absolutely never surrendered. Placing one foot stubbornly in front of the other, they had finally, miraculously arrived at this exact moment.

Furthermore, this specific race—

It had simply been far, far too difficult.

Borreipaire froze. The radio channel from Kai’s end remained completely silent. There was zero celebrating, zero cheering, and not even his trademark sarcastic banter.

It wasn’t until Binotto’s voice finally shattered the calm. ”Kai, we are officially launching an appeal. You have flawlessly executed your job. Leave the rest of this political warfare entirely to us.”

Despite sitting on the pit wall, completely unable to see the actual incident with his own eyes, Binotto perfectly understood the emotion. A potent mixture of fury and burning passion. When those scorching emotions are violently pushed to their absolute maximum limit, they paradoxically mutate into absolute, icy calm. A freezing, bone-chilling rationality. It unleashes a completely unstoppable, forward-driving momentum that violently obliterates absolutely any obstacle standing in its path.

It wasn’t just Kai. Binotto was equally furious.

He immediately established a comm link with the race stewards. An endless, raging torrent of pure, unadulterated fury violently cascaded down upon the FIA.

The justification?

Hamilton’s secondary defensive block in Turn 6. An unbelievably pathetic, utterly disgusting illegal maneuver!

Formula 1 is a sport fundamentally defined by hyper-speed. The reaction time granted to drivers is incredibly, terrifyingly limited. Therefore, both offensive and defensive maneuvers absolutely require the provision of adequate racing room.

On a straight, if the defending driver is positioned entirely ahead of the attacking driver, the defending driver possesses the absolute right to freely alter their trajectory, even utilizing the entire, maximum width of the circuit.

However, when operating within a braking zone approaching a corner, or immediately prior to entering a braking zone, the defending driver is strictly prohibited from doing so. Violently altering trajectory in this highly specific zone is exceptionally dangerous. It inevitably results in the attacking driver being left with absolutely zero physical space to maneuver, directly causing a catastrophic collision.

In other words, executing a secondary defensive block within a braking zone was pure, unadulterated provocation. It was a reckless, desperate attempt to intentionally ram the opponent and manufacture a massive crisis.

Filthy! Disgusting! Despicable! An absolute disgrace!

Ferrari absolutely refused to tolerate this!

Even though Kai’s chassis hadn’t sustained critical damage, and he had ultimately, miraculously completed the overtake, Ferrari was absolutely not a pathetic, soft target willing to meekly swallow insults!

Completely unexpectedly, the Mercedes-Benz fanbase had preemptively launched a massive assault on social media. Utilizing the classic strategy of ’the guilty party striking first,’ they aggressively adopted the posture of innocent victims.

”Kai committed a blatant offensive foul! Absolutely shameless!”

”A perfect recreation of the Abu Dhabi disaster! Is the FIA preparing to continue their blatant, pathetic coddling of their precious little golden boy?”

”Kai executed a highly illegal overtake! He must be ordered to surrender the position immediately! Absolutely mandatory!”

Violently inverting reality! Calling a deer a horse!

Completely ignoring the glaring, objective facts, the Mercedes-Benz fanbase launched a massive, preemptive strike on social media. They whipped up a massive, sprawling tsunami of noise, aggressively manufacturing a completely fabricated public narrative.

The Tifosi, who were currently busy cheering and celebrating, were caught completely off guard—

They had witnessed blatant shamelessness before, but they had absolutely never encountered this level of profound, thick-skinned audacity. Brazenly staring at the objective reality and blatantly lying through their teeth, completely fabricating a narrative out of thin air. It bordered on absolute, clinical insanity.

Abu Dhabi?

Were these Mercedes-Benz fans actually suffering from massive brain damage? The team that deployed filthy, disgusting tactics was Mercedes-Benz. The team that unreasonably, cynically dumped all the blame onto Ocon was Mercedes-Benz. The team whose conservative strategy cost them the ultimate initiative was Mercedes-Benz. And now, exactly like a thief screaming ”catch the thief,” they were loudly complaining about suffering from unfair treatment?

Heh.

Mercedes-Benz should take a hard look around the paddock and ask exactly who hasn’t been completely screwed over by their political machinations. Are the instances of the FIA and Mercedes-Benz actively colluding to sabotage rivals genuinely that rare?

The Tifosi didn’t want to constantly whine and obsessively cling to ancient history. They vastly preferred a clean, honorable showdown on the asphalt. And the ultimate result was that they were being treated exactly like pathetic, easily bullied soft targets?

Since Mercedes-Benz was so incredibly eager to settle old debts, the Tifosi were fully prepared to present them with the entire, massive ledger. It wasn’t just Abu Dhabi. Hamilton’s hypocritical mask of being a ’perfect gentleman’ was long overdue to be violently ripped off—

How do we classify the brake-testing incident in Shanghai? How do we classify the illegal secondary block in Monaco? Is there any possible, logical justification for his ugly, ruthless betrayal of his own teammate for three consecutive races?

”First it was Massa, then it was Rosberg. Hamilton utilizing dirty, borderline illegal tactics absolutely isn’t a new phenomenon. But regardless of the objective facts, in the eyes of his rabid fanbase, it’s somehow always his teammate’s fault. Alonso was the only one who completely refused to buy into the narrative and actually possessed the courage to confront Hamilton head-on.”

”The 2011 Adrian Sutil incident. Hamilton was literally physically present at the scene, yet he blatantly refused to testify in court on behalf of his supposedly close friend. Does the fanbase want to discuss that specific incident?”

”You all constantly, endlessly praise Hamilton as a flawless, humble gentleman. Please. Has absolutely everyone suffered massive amnesia regarding his blatant, unapologetic perjury in Melbourne 2009? During a Safety Car period, he illegally overtook Trulli after Trulli went off track. Hamilton subsequently voluntarily surrendered the position. However, during the post-race investigation, he actively, intentionally lied to the stewards, claiming Trulli had illegally overtaken him. This resulted in Trulli receiving a massive penalty, elevating Hamilton to P3. When video evidence surfaced proving he was blatantly lying, he lied to the stewards again, claiming he was simply following team orders to avoid a penalty. Heh. Whether or not McLaren actually issued such an absurd, suicidal directive is an open secret within the paddock.”

Ignoring ancient history, let’s focus entirely on the present moment.

The Mercedes-Benz fanbase was loudly complaining about Kai committing an offensive foul. Yet, the objective reality was that Hamilton had blatantly committed an illegal secondary defensive block, explicitly attempting to cause a collision. Kai simply refused to back down, executing a brutal, head-on confrontation. And as a direct result, the Mercedes-Benz fanbase was actually complaining that Kai’s counter-attack was too aggressive. Was that seriously their argument?

When the Tifosi finally fully unleashed their massive, terrifying firepower, absolutely no one could withstand the assault. Not even Hamilton.

Boiling chaos. Absolute bedlam—

Social media instantly devolved into a massive, chaotic warzone. The entire globe was sucked into the violent storm.

Toto Wolff had remained incredibly patient. He waited until Binotto had completely exhausted himself venting his fury at the race stewards. Seeing that the social media battlefield had been successfully prepared, he finally adjusted his breathing, summoned his righteous fury, and keyed the radio to the stewards. Operating with an aura of absolute, unyielding righteousness, he firmly articulated Mercedes-Benz’s official position, explicitly demanding the FIA severely penalize Kai.

Wolff fully understood that the incident was highly controversial. It wasn’t just the FIA that would face a massive headache issuing a ruling; he absolutely needed to preemptively launch a massive PR offensive to secure the high ground in the court of public opinion.

Binotto had only just assumed the role of Team Principal this season. Ultimately, he was still far too green. He was fundamentally incapable of playing these complex political games against a seasoned, ruthless veteran like Wolff.

A secondary defensive block?

Undeniably, it was a violation of the sporting regulations. Hamilton’s panicked, instinct-driven reflex had briefly plunged the entire Mercedes-Benz garage into profound shock.

However, the situation wasn’t an absolute, open-and-shut case. There was significant room for interpretation and debate.

Without a shadow of a doubt, for critical safety reasons, executing a secondary defensive block within a braking zone is strictly prohibited. However, in an incredibly intense, high-speed Formula 1 dogfight, rapid-fire reflexes executed in the span of a microsecond are often purely instinctual. Assigning absolute right or wrong is rarely simple. It absolutely is not a straightforward mathematical equation where one plus one equals two.

First: The precise definition of the braking zone. Exactly where does the corner end, and exactly where does the braking zone officially begin? The physical boundaries are frequently highly ambiguous.

For example, analyzing the exact location of the collision between Kai and Hamilton. They had already exited Turn 6 and were technically operating on the short straight. But immediately following that straight was Turn 7. Was that specific section of track classified as a straight, or was it officially part of the Turn 7 braking zone?

If it was a straight, the secondary block was entirely legal. If it was the braking zone, it required an immediate, severe penalty.

Second: The regulations regarding a single defensive maneuver are crystal clear and contain zero gray areas. However, drivers frequently exploit a massive loophole in the interpretation of the rules. Depending on the sequence of corners and straights, a second defensive movement might not be classified as a ”secondary block,” but rather as the ”initial steering input” for navigating the subsequent section of the circuit.

This specific loophole generally falls into two distinct categories.

The first scenario occurs when the defending driver initially moves to cover the inside line, and then subsequently swings back toward the outside line to secure a vastly superior entry angle for the upcoming corner. This specific ”secondary movement” is incredibly common and almost universally deemed acceptable. The single, critical caveat is that when the defending driver swings back toward the outside line, they absolutely must leave a minimum of one car’s width of space between their chassis and the edge of the circuit. This ensures the attacking driver has sufficient room to maintain their assault around the outside.

In Monza 2011, Schumacher’s highly controversial defense against Hamilton was explicitly cleared by the FIA based on this exact interpretation.

The second scenario occurs when the defending driver initially moves to the outside line, and then abruptly cuts back to the inside line. This essentially creates a curved trajectory that continuously converges toward the apex. The defense can easily argue that the driver was simply adhering to the optimal racing line and naturally hugging the apex, rather than executing a malicious, aggressive block.

In Spa 1995, Schumacher’s defense against Hill triggered massive, widespread controversy based on this exact maneuver. However, it remains a highly ambiguous gray area. Every single incident must be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Blanket generalizations are impossible.

”No, no, no, no. This is fundamentally different from Spa 1995. Schumacher’s defense against Hill occurred entirely on the Kemmel Straight. It can practically be classified as a singular, continuous straight section of track...”

”But the underlying principle is exactly the same here. When Hamilton executed the secondary block, he had already successfully cleared Turn 6. They were technically operating on the straight. Therefore, it was a perfectly legal maneuver.”

”Absolutely not! One hundred percent incorrect! Hamilton’s secondary block directly caused a high-speed collision! Executing a maneuver of that nature exiting the Turn 6 hairpin is astronomically dangerous! Furthermore, Turn 7 is situated immediately ahead, and they were undeniably operating within the braking zone!”

”If we analyze the incident from an alternative perspective, one could easily argue that Kai’s attack was excessively, dangerously aggressive, and that was the primary cause of the collision. The collision was merely the final result; we must accurately identify the root cause.”

”No, David. There is absolutely no controversy here, and there is zero ambiguity. Exiting Turn 6, Hamilton had already explicitly committed to his defensive posture. He deliberately chose the outside line, which simultaneously functioned as his intended entry trajectory for Turn 7. Following Kai’s brilliant feint, Hamilton instantly realized he had surrendered the position. Consequently, he executed a massive, desperate gamble and initiated an illegal secondary block. This was a highly dangerous, fundamentally unacceptable maneuver. The foul is absolutely glaringly obvious.”

Back-and-forth. Sparks violently flying.

Inside the broadcast booth, Crofty and Brundle were locked in a fierce, unyielding debate. This type of scene was... genuinely, incredibly rare.

After all, for years, the two British commentators had consistently, openly displayed a strong bias toward Hamilton. Even if they weren’t explicitly playing favorites, their core opinions and analytical perspectives generally aligned perfectly. It was almost impossible to catch them engaged in a red-faced, furious screaming match regarding Hamilton’s actions.

Until today.

Clearly, Wolff had flawlessly anticipated this exact scenario. He knew a massive media shitstorm was inevitable. Therefore, he executed a preemptive strike to secure the narrative high ground.

He threw the match that ignited the inferno. The more intense and chaotic the debate became, the vastly more advantageous it was for Mercedes-Benz.

While Wolff was projecting an aura of ”righteous fury” and violently pressuring the FIA, the Mercedes-Benz pit garage had quickly returned to normal operations, working frantically to manage the ongoing race.

Bono’s expression remained largely impassive, but his eyebrows were drawn tightly together. The situation was incredibly dire—

For the very first time this entire season, the W10 was experiencing a genuine, catastrophic tire crisis! It was profoundly... profoundly critical!

Where was the rain?!

Where the [BEEP] was the damn rain!

Right now, Bono was praying for rain with an unprecedented level of desperation!

He didn’t care if every single driver stubbornly refused to pit and remained out on the track. The arrival of rain would instantly, violently neutralize all existing tire advantages. Slicks were slicks. Everyone would instantly be violently shoved back to the exact same baseline. This would grant Hamilton a massive, invaluable window to breathe and potentially salvage this catastrophic disaster.

Currently, Hamilton’s set of White Hard tires had been absorbing punishment for over sixty grueling laps. Although Hamilton had meticulously managed his pace, the degradation curve remained terrifyingly steep. The microscopic damage to the front wing only served to violently pour gasoline on the fire. The severely degraded tires were currently teetering on the absolute edge of a catastrophic collapse. The mechanical grip was virtually nonexistent; it felt exactly like driving on a layer of thick sludge.

Even a seasoned, elite veteran like Hamilton was finding it practically impossible to maintain a functional racing line.

It was absolutely no wonder Hamilton had stated earlier that they desperately needed a miracle.

Unfortunately—

Bono carefully adjusted his breathing, desperately clinging to his rationality amidst the chaotic noise. ”Lewis, gently ease back on the rhythm. Focus entirely on control. We absolutely must defend our current track position. Max is rapidly closing the gap.”

Hamilton... let out a dark, bitter chuckle. When he finally spoke, his voice was perfectly flat and completely devoid of any warmth. ”Oh, brilliant! Thank you for promptly delivering such incredibly uplifting, phenomenal news.”

Following the sarcastic jab, his boiling fury refused to subside. This was supposed to be a majestic, flawless tribute to Niki Lauda. Instead, it had devolved into a complete, humiliating joke.

A massive inferno was raging in his chest, and he absolutely could not find peace. Anticipating that Bono was preparing to offer more empty platitudes, Hamilton ruthlessly cut him off. ”I am turning off the radio.”

Click!

He simply shut it off. However, even the absolute silence failed to extinguish the blazing inferno.

Simultaneously, inside the cockpit of the Number 22 car, Kai maintained absolute, terrifying focus. He was completely, utterly immersed in the race, absolutely undistracted and entirely unbothered by the external chaos.

There were only four laps remaining in the Grand Prix.

In Monaco, due to the incredibly short, claustrophobic layout, the race requires a staggering 78 laps to complete. Endlessly driving in circles. Forget about the casual viewers; even the drivers themselves frequently become completely dizzy and disoriented. A tiny lapse in concentration, and you forget what position you’re in, what sector of the track you’re currently occupying, and exactly how many laps remain.

However, Kai didn’t suffer from that problem. When facing off against terrifyingly powerful opponents like Red Bull and Mercedes-Benz, he absolutely had to maintain a state of crystal-clear, hyper-focused lucidity at all times.

Four laps. A mere five or six minutes of driving. But in the world of Formula 1, an astronomical amount of chaos can erupt in that brief window. He could absolutely not afford to grant his opponents a single millimeter of hope.

It required absolute composure, and absolute, terrifying focus.

Until—

”Kai.” Borreipaire’s voice crackled over the radio. ”Regarding the collision at Turn 6. The FIA has officially declined to pursue a further investigation.”

”Haha.” Kai laughed out loud.

Borreipaire’s scalp prickled with anxiety. ”The FIA has already issued the official announcement.”

”I see,” Kai replied smoothly. ”My apologies. I honestly assumed you were attempting a joke. I was literally just thinking, ’Wow, Pierre, your sense of humor is actually improving.’ I had absolutely no idea the actual joke was completely unrelated to you.”

Borreipaire: ... ”I am so sorry, Kai.”

”No,” Kai replied. ”Do not apologize. The person who should be apologizing is someone entirely different.”

The FIA’s official ruling detonated exactly like a massive bomb. The entire paddock fell into a brief, stunned silence, before instantly, violently boiling over.

Declining to pursue a further investigation explicitly meant the FIA did not believe a foul had occurred. The race would proceed without any penalties.

The internet instantly exploded—

The Mercedes-Benz fans were absolutely relentless. They had been eagerly, confidently waiting for the FIA to penalize Kai for an offensive foul and order him to surrender the position. Didn’t this ruling essentially mean the FIA had just officially crowned Kai the winner of the Monaco Grand Prix? Completely unacceptable! They absolutely refused to accept this!

The Tifosi were even more completely unhinged. They genuinely couldn’t believe their ears. Hamilton executes a blatant, indisputably illegal secondary defensive block, and the FIA actually just turns a blind eye?! Although they were already completely desensitized to the FIA’s blatant, shameless bias, this ruling violently shattered the absolute bottom line of basic decency.

If the Tifosi remained silent, did the FIA seriously assume Ferrari was just a rotting corpse?! Was the FIA really going to blatantly, shamelessly protect Mercedes-Benz like this? Were they entirely abandoning even the pretense of impartiality?!

The Tifosi absolutely refused to swallow this insult!

BOOM.

A massive, muffled explosion. The collective internet detonated. The paddock was instantly sucked into the center of a massive hurricane. In the blink of an eye, the violent storm rapidly spread onto the actual racing circuit.

On one front, Verstappen was driving exactly like a man possessed, frantically hunting down Hamilton.

Anyone with functioning eyes could see the reality. Hamilton’s rhythm had collapsed. His tires had clearly completely surrendered. Verstappen, running entirely flat-out, had successfully breached Hamilton’s DRS window. Absolutely no one had anticipated that the battle for P2 would trigger another massive, brutal dogfight in the absolute closing stages of the race.

On the other front, Kai was... aggressively pushing.

Currently holding a comfortable, secure lead, Kai absolutely did not intend to quietly, politely coast to the checkered flag to secure the championship. Instead, he violently shifted into maximum push mode, continuously, relentlessly shattering the fastest lap record.

He didn’t drop into the 1:15s, or the 1:16s. He violently, aggressively smashed straight into the 1:14s.

”1:14.279! Kai! He absolutely obliterates the fastest lap record!”

Blasting off into the distance, completely untouchable. When the fastest lap graphic popped up on the screen, absolutely zero words were required. Every single person on the planet could viscerally feel Kai’s burning fury. It was exactly like a massive inferno, burning wildly out of control, majestically consuming every single corner of the Monte Carlo circuit. The entire world was dyed a brilliant, furious scarlet.

His raw speed was exactly like a razor-sharp dagger, violently plunging directly into the heart of the FIA. This was his response. He was answering their bullshit ruling with absolute, tyrannical dominance.

The briefly tedious, boring race was violently re-ignited in the absolute closing moments. The surging, hot-blooded passion was practically overflowing.

The broadcast director was completely overwhelmed. One second, they were obsessively tracking Verstappen’s brutal, bayonets-drawn assault on Hamilton. The next second, they were forced to cut away to witness Kai set yet another terrifying purple sector.

Anya had been staring quietly, with absolute, undivided focus, at that brilliant, speeding flash of red light. Lawless, majestic, and completely unrestrained. He was making his voice heard with such tyrannical, breathtaking arrogance. He could easily, effortlessly cruise to the finish line and secure the trophy. Yet, he explicitly chose to utilize this specific method to violently, brutally humiliate Hamilton trailing far behind him.

The gap was expanding at a terrifying rate. The ultimate victor had long since been definitively decided.

And then—

GASP!

Lap 76. Exiting the tunnel, Verstappen utilized a massive, desperate late-braking maneuver approaching Turn 10 to attempt a brutal, high-risk overtake. Operating on the absolute ragged edge of disaster, Hamilton fiercely defended the apex, flatly refusing to yield his position.

The result: Collision!

Verstappen’s right-front tire violently slammed into Hamilton’s left-rear tire. Hamilton’s chassis completely lost control, violently sliding off the track limits. He blasted perfectly straight across the chicane runoff area. By utilizing this massive shortcut, he miraculously, incredibly narrowly managed to defend his position against Verstappen.

Even though the ultimate victory was already completely out of reach, the battle for the remaining podium spots had devolved into a brutal, bloody brawl. The thick stench of violence completely saturated the circuit.

Mercedes-Benz immediately lodged a formal protest, accusing Red Bull of an illegal offensive maneuver. Red Bull instantly fired back, lodging their own massive protest, accusing Mercedes-Benz of illegally leaving the track to gain a massive positional advantage.

However, the FIA decisively dismissed both protests. Although Verstappen had undeniably initiated contact, and Hamilton had undeniably completely bypassed the chicane... Hamilton had ultimately retained his position. Therefore, neither driver was penalized.

Thrilling, dangerous, and utterly chaotic. Hamilton had ultimately managed to survive, utilizing a highly questionable method to defend his podium spot.

This ruling completely shattered what little rationality remained. It wasn’t just the Tifosi anymore. The Red Bull fanbase completely lost their minds. A massive, torrential wave of pure fury cascaded violently down upon Mercedes-Benz.

This chaotic, embarrassing spectacle only served to further highlight exactly how astronomically difficult Kai’s consecutive overtakes on both Verstappen and Hamilton had truly been. A massive gasp of shock violently erupted from the grandstands—

Kai was STILL aggressively shattering the fastest lap record!

1:14.138!

”Absolutely unbelievable! This is a massive, definitive declaration from Kai—

’I still have plenty of performance in reserve.’”

”He absolutely does not need to resort to illegal blocks or dirty tactics! The massive, terrifying advantage he accumulated through sheer strategic brilliance and elite technique hasn’t even been fully unleashed! Even if he hadn’t successfully completed the overtake earlier, he could easily launch another massive assault right now and secure the position! The championship trophy rightfully belongs to him! Absolute, terrifying dominance! He is currently utilizing an unparalleled, tyrannical display of power to entirely transform the Monaco Grand Prix into his own personal monologue!”

”The brutal, desperate defensive battle currently playing out behind him perfectly highlights exactly how phenomenal and completely dominant his performance has been! Surviving the chaotic instability at the start of the season, overcoming the brief, agonizing stagnation following the massive upgrades in Barcelona... Kai successfully hoisted Ferrari onto his shoulders, absorbed the crushing pressure, violently shattered the blockade, and orchestrated a majestic return of the King right here in Monaco! In a race completely saturated with complex chaos and endless catastrophic variables, he has utilized a completely incomprehensible performance to aggressively seize the summit!”

”At this exact moment, Kai’s leading advantage over Hamilton has astronomically expanded to a massive seven seconds!”

In merely four short laps!

Obviously, Mercedes-Benz significantly reducing their pace was a massive contributing factor. They desperately needed to conserve tire life to defend against Verstappen, while simultaneously buying Bottas crucial time to hunt Verstappen down. However, Kai’s brilliant, majestic, absolutely untouchable performance still left an indelible, unforgettable impression on everyone watching. He completely shocked the entirety of Monaco.

One step!

Then another step!

Blasting off into the distance, completely untouchable—absolutely unstoppable!

The ultimate result was entirely expected. There was zero lingering suspense. Yet, witnessing this majestic scene with their own eyes still caused the crowd’s blood to boil uncontrollably.

”Good god! Unbelievable! Absolutely incomprehensible!”

”He crosses the line!”

”The race is officially over!”

”Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the 2019 Monaco Grand Prix—KAI!”

”His second Grand Prix victory of the season! For the very first time in his professional career, he successfully defends a Grand Prix title! A completely unparalleled performance! He utilizes undeniable, brutal action to fiercely defend his title as the undisputed King of the Streets! Kai has once again hoisted Ferrari onto his shoulders to launch a massive, full-scale assault on Mercedes-Benz! The ultimate narrative of the 2019 World Championship is absolutely not ready to be finalized!”

”What an absolutely spectacular, unbelievably thrilling race!”

”Jesus Christ, what exactly have we just witnessed today?! Kai is the Champion! Kai has once again utilized an absolutely unparalleled, flawless performance to successfully claim the absolute crown jewel of Formula 1!”

”All hail the King of Monaco!”
