Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 251: Chapter 140: Reversal Melons Are the Tastiest

Sister Zeng looked at her half-skeptically, but this message was much better than the previous one.

She quickly edited and sent it out.

Lawrence Winters checked her Weibo again and found that the official spokesperson account for NewHuman Corporation was about to crash with crazy private messages and tags.

The account had only posted one Weibo so far, which mentioned the game ”The Life You Want” during Spencer Group’s contract signing press conference.

She looked at the private messages and tags, and saw that they were all asking her if the mistress who was hit was their company’s most popular starlet, Becca.

Of course, Lawrence would not admit it, but she also wouldn’t deny it.

Since Becca dared to play so big, she’d let her have it.

Lawrence carefully considered her wording and quickly posted her second Weibo.

This time, she tagged Becca’s official account.

[NewHuman Spokesperson]: @Becca, Becca, stop being naughty, come out and say hello to everyone! Come on, repeat after me: ”You! Got! The! Wrong! Person!”!

As soon as this Weibo was posted, everyone was in an uproar again.

The juiciest stories are the ones with twists.

A group of netizens were like rats hiding in fields, silently enjoying the gossip every day.

”What’s going on? Is that mistress not Becca?”

”Of course it is! NewHuman’s PR is starting to cover up! Don’t believe it! Mistresses deserve to die!”

”Exactly! Just look at the tattoo! And the waist of that woman in the video! Only our Becca has such a slim waist!”

”Tsk, you upstairs know Becca’s waist so well, what’s your relationship?”

For a moment, those who believed it was Becca and those who didn’t were evenly split, neither side convincing the other.

Lawrence was slightly surprised to see that Becca still hadn’t shown up.

She’s got some guts, not coming out immediately to reverse the situation is just begging for disaster.

If Lawrence were just a bystander, she wouldn’t bother using her brain.

But now she’s the spokesperson for NewHuman’s PR department, responsible for cleaning up any scandals related to artists.

In short, she’s the role of ”arguing the unarguable”.

Handling crisis PR for artists.

But she didn’t consider this first crisis PR assignment a genuine scandal.

Since Becca hadn’t come out, Lawrence had to produce more juicy stories to control the scene, attract the attention of fans and bystanders, and prevent the PR field from being overtaken by haters.

Because if you don’t capture people’s attention, someone else will.

She thought for a moment and said to Sister Zeng, ”Do you have any photos of Becca without beautifying filters? The ones with makeup, not bare-faced.”

Sister Zeng, Becca’s agent, had no lack of photos. She rummaged through her phone gallery and sent Lawrence a few high-definition photos of Becca without beautifying filters.

Although still beautiful, compared to the dreamy beauty with filters, these were far inferior.

Lawrence received the photos and quickly posted several Weibos.

[NewHuman Spokesperson]: Thank you all for liking our Becca, but please don’t splash this dirt on our Becca. Poor thing.JPG. Becca’s tattoo on her shoulder was specially done by a famous foreign tattoo artist with special ink, under certain lighting, you can vaguely see the words ”Becca” appear. How can this shoddy tattoo in the photo pass for real? Impostor.JPG.

[NewHuman Spokesperson]: And the woman in this video, being a mistress is immoral, but is tearing her clothes and beating her in front of everyone any more moral? Ms. Beater, shouldn’t you first use a club on your cheating husband? As for this mistress, her waist, although slim, is too long. Our Becca’s figure almost has the golden ratio. BeautyWiggle.JPG.

[NewHuman Spokesperson]: I can confidently say, this mistress in the video is definitely not our Becca! ClearMyName.JPG.

She posted three Weibos in a row, each with a high-definition, unfiltered front photo of Becca.

Even with makeup, it was clear Becca’s skin was a bit rough, not smooth and delicate.

Her eyes were big, but there were quite a few fine lines at the corners, especially when she smiled.

These Weibos quickly became trending, pushing down the search suggesting Becca was the mistress.

Not long after, Becca’s call came in.

She said angrily, ”Sister Zeng! Tell that spokesperson to quickly take down my photos! How can she randomly post pictures of me without beautifying filters!”

Sister Zeng was momentarily stunned, then looked at Lawrence with admiration and gave her a thumbs-up.

Lawrence quietly turned on the recording function on her phone, recording the conversation between Sister Zeng and Becca.

Sister Zeng was both surprised and relieved, ”Becca, are you okay? Where have you been? We’ve been looking everywhere for you, thinking something really happened to you!”

Listening to Becca’s tone, it was clear she wasn’t the one beaten up.

The earlier video misled them as well as countless netizens.

Only Lawrence wasn’t fooled.

Sister Zeng was truly grateful to Lawrence.

Becca, however, impatiently said, ”You don’t have to meddle, I can handle this myself! Who let that spokesperson post on Weibo? What does it have to do with her?!”

”She’s our company’s PR spokesperson, you get into this kind of situation, how can she not handle it?” Sister Zeng got a bit emotional.

She’s not like Zoe Johnson, who’s particularly cunning; she’s known as the honest one among agents.

”But I’m not in any trouble! That’s not me in the video! Who asked her to stir things up?” Becca was very frustrated, a perfectly good game was messed up by this spokesperson!

She still wanted to marry into a wealthy family!
