Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Qin Shaojin watched the video, his face even colder than before. He chuckled and looked in the direction of the manager. His beautiful, clean hands straightened his suit collar, then moved up to unfasten a button which he played with between his fingers, ”Indeed, I’ve never come across such a formidable salesperson. It’s my first time; quite an eye-opener.”

The manager looked at Qin Shaojin, knowing that Lawyer Qin wouldn’t let things slide easily but without any other choice, he could only wait for the president to arrive.

In less than half an hour, the president of Hong Kong Gold Mall arrived and addressed Qin Shaojin, ”Lawyer Qin.”

Qin Shaojin turned to President Wu, ”The sales staff here sure are sensible.”

President Wu looked at Qin Shaojin and, mindful of his reputation in the legal world, didn’t dare to offend such a figure, ”The caliber of our staff varies. Please accept our apologies for any offense caused, Lawyer Qin.”

Qin Shaojin turned to Wen Nuan, ”Nuannuan, do you want to let it go?”

Wen Nuan stood there, getting goosebumps all over as he called her ’Nuannuan’. For two partners acting, wasn’t this a bit much?

Looking at the scene, she hadn’t expected things to escalate so much, and it was getting late. She would surely get a telling-off from her dad and mom when she got back home.

Thinking this, she looked at Qin Shaojin, ”How about we forget about it? I won’t hold a grudge against the two sales staff.”

”Spineless.”

Qin Shaojin shot a glance at Wen Nuan and then addressed President Wu, ”President Wu, how do you propose we resolve this?”

President Wu turned to the two sales staff, ”Which outfit did the Miss here fancy?”

The sales staff pointed out the outfit that Wen Nuan had liked to President Wu.

After glancing at it, President Wu turned back to Wen Nuan, his eyes twinkling with a smile, ”The Miss has very good taste; this is a freshly released limited edition. How about this, I’ll present you with a diamond VIP card for Hong Kong Gold Mall. You can get a 30 percent discount on everything in the store. What do you think?”

Wen Nuan smiled slightly, ”Let’s go with that.”

Qin Shaojin stood there silently, watching Wen Nuan.

Wen Nuan turned back to Qin Shaojin, ”Didn’t you say earlier that I could pick any suit I want from any store in the mall?”

Qin Shaojin nodded.

Wen Nuan smiled, ”The suit I fancied just now, will you buy it for me at full price?”

”I will.”

Qin Shaojin tossed his cigarette butt into a nearby trash can, curious to see what Wen Nuan was going to do next.

Wen Nuan smiled sweetly, ”That’s great.”

She turned to the sales staff, ”I’ll take this suit, and pick a few other random ones to make the total exactly 188,000 yuan, not a cent more or less, okay?”

The two sales staff realized they were making a big loss on this deal as the difference in price with the card would be deducted from their salary, ”President Wu—”

”Wrap this suit up for Lawyer Qin.”

One salesperson went to package the clothes as the other calculated what else could be purchased with the remaining money.

Half an hour later, Wen Nuan walked out of Hong Kong Gold Mall carrying five bags and looked at Qin Shaojin, ”Alright, I’ll just take the cheapest suit.”

Qin Shaojin pressed the bridge of his nose, ”You want me to wear it? Since we only spent the price of one suit, if it doesn’t fit, we might as well throw it away.”

”...”

Wen Nuan.

Qin Shaojin looked at Wen Nuan, ”Planning to stand guard and work the night shift for Zijin Mall?”

Wen Nuan walked over and got into the white Porsche.

Seeing the two sales staff come out, Wen Nuan smiled at them, ”Your store’s clothes are both affordable and nice; I’ll bring my friends along next time to shop.”

”...”

The expressions of the two salespeople looked like they were about to cry.

Wen Nuan sat in the car, closed the window, and felt particularly pleased with herself. How come it felt like her eloquence improved after arguing with him!

Qin Shaojin had just started the car when he received a call. A dark glint reflected in the depths of his eyes. He made a phone call to Huo Jinnan, ”Bro Huo, Huo Jinyun’s condition has worsened. Your family’s patriarch has applied for her to be sent abroad for treatment, and the approval came through.”
