Daddy Always Gets Jealous

The two clerks looked at each other, eyeing Qin Shaojin’s outfit, which seemed out of the ordinary, but they couldn’t recognize the brand.

”Does this store do business?”

Qin Shaojin glanced around, his voice cool and serious.

The clerks judged Wen Nuan’s appearance and figured anyone with her probably didn’t amount to much. Judging by Qin Shaojin’s look, was he all show no substance, just an empty sack?

He stood there casually, without getting any attention.

Qin Shaojin smiled wryly, squinting his eyes. It was the first time he had been treated this way, all thanks to Little Wangzi!

He nodded at the two clerks and picked up his phone to dial the Bureau of Industry and Commerce’s complaint line.

Less than ten minutes later, the mall manager personally came over, hurriedly apologizing to Qin Shaojin, ”Lawyer Qin, I’m terribly sorry—”

Qin Shaojin stood there, his face unusually frosty, ”No need for apologies, very sorry indeed. Since the store is open, why aren’t you doing business?”

The mall manager looked at the two clerks, ”Apologize to Lawyer Qin right now!”

Qin Shaojin glanced at the two clerks, seeing them approaching, ”Not to me.”

The manager, sharp as always, quickly understood and instructed the clerks, ”Apologize to the lady accompanying Lawyer Qin!”

The clerks turned to Wen Nuan, ”Sorry.”

Wen Nuan stood there silently.

Qin Shaojin lit a cigarette beside her, ”It seems the apology isn’t sincere. Keep it up until she forgives you.”

The manager got nervous upon hearing this, realizing Lawyer Qin was angry, ”Lawyer Qin, I’m truly sorry. Our CEO will be here soon to personally handle this.”

”Oh, your CEO is a bit more sensible than the clerks.”

Qin Shaojin smoked quietly, his gaze landing on the two clerks.

The clerks, realizing the gravity of the situation and that they had crossed the wrong person, hurriedly apologized to Wen Nuan, ”Miss, we’re so sorry, we were shortsighted just now.”

Qin Shaojin looked towards the direction of the leader, ”Are you insulting dogs here?”

As soon as he finished speaking, the leader, very cooperatively, glared fiercely in the direction of the clerks, growling ”Woof, woof” twice.

The clerks turned pale from the leader’s intimidation, ”Miss, we truly apologize for our mistake. Please, be the bigger person and forgive us.”

Wen Nuan stood there, not knowing what to say, as it seemed unrelated to her—they weren’t afraid of her!

However, she hadn’t expected Qin Shaojin to be quite so intimidating. To think he could make a manager of this caliber flinch; in comparison, her cowering before him didn’t seem so embarrassing.

Seeing the two clerks scared into that state was so satisfying!

Who asked for these people to always look down on others!

Seeing that Wen Nuan remained silent, the clerks kept apologizing.

Qin Shaojin stood on the side, looking at Wen Nuan, ”Show some spine.”

Wen Nuan quietly responded, recalling how earlier the clerks had called her shabby and out of place in this setting, offering no reaction.

Qin Shaojin turned to the manager, ”Pull up your store’s surveillance footage. I’m interested in seeing how a small-time clerk bullies people.”

The manager quickly called the security department, and soon the video was played—

Wen Nuan entered the store, spotted a suit of clothes, and gazed at it attentively.

Behind her, the two clerks who hadn’t bothered with her exchanged glances and sneered contemptuously, ”Look at her shabby appearance, coming to a place like this, as if she belongs here. If you don’t have the money, don’t come here to shop!”

Wen Nuan stood there, her face slowly reddening. She turned around and firmly retorted, ”You have money? Then don’t come here to sell! Let me try this one.”

”Eighteen thousand eight hundred, it’s a new release, no discount.”

Upon hearing the price, which was exorbitantly high, Wen Nuan didn’t want Qin Shaojin to think she was scamming him, so she blushed and quickly left the store.
