Daddy Always Gets Jealous

April 19, 1993

Huo Jinyun stood at the entrance of the academic building, waiting for Qin Moting.

As she saw him walk out, her gaze was glued to him.

Qin Moting, today, I finally got the chance. I never expected to overhear the news of Wen Ru’s pregnancy right outside my mother’s room!

When Qin Moting saw Huo Jinyun, he walked around her.

Huo Jinyun chased after him, ”Qin Moting, stop, or you’ll regret it.”

Qin Moting, carrying a shoulder bag, quickened his pace.

Seeing that he was ignoring her and kept walking, Huo Jinyun laughed, ”Qin Moting, what if it’s about Wen Ru?”

Upon hearing the name Wen Ru, Qin Moting stopped in his tracks and turned back to face Huo Jinyun, ”Don’t even think about bothering her, or I won’t let you off!”

Huo Jinyun walked up to Qin Moting, ”How won’t you let me off?”

Qin Moting’s expression turned cold, ’Huo Jinyun, you’re so boring.’

Huo Jinyun looked at Qin Moting with a triumphant smile, ”According to Law University’s regulations, getting pregnant while enrolled can get you expelled. She’s about to graduate from her master’s program, wouldn’t it be a pity if she were expelled?”

Moting’s eyes fiercely fixed on Huo Jinyun, as he thought about the night of his birthday when he had had a bit to drink and then escorted Wen Ru home. In her room, he had been impulsive and lost control...

After a long while, he asked softly, ”What do you want?”

Huo Jinyun looked at Qin Moting, ”That’s up to you.”

Qin Moting was silent, ”...”

Huo Jinyun faced Qin Moting, ”Spend one night with me. If she trusts that you are innocent, I’ll step aside, but if she doesn’t believe you, then be with me.”

”...”

Qin Moting stood there, motionless.

Huo Jinyun had a sly smile on her face, ”Okay, then I’ll go to the Student Affairs Office now—”

Qin Moting pulled Huo Jinyun’s arm hastily, pulling her back, and asked sternly, ”How do you know?”

”You don’t need to care how I know. If you don’t want people to know, don’t do it!”

As her words fell, Huo Jinyun walked ahead.

Qin Moting followed her out of the university gate.

Upon reaching the small hotel outside the gates, Huo Jinyun stopped.

Qin Moting looked at Huo Jinyun, ”Do you know how this makes you look?”

”Very charming and interesting, right?” Huo Jinyun leaned in close to Qin Moting, trying to kiss him only to be pushed away by Qin Moting!

Huo Jinyun, somewhat annoyed, ”Qin Moting, your family might still be okay, but what is it compared to mine? I’m already being nice by not directly making you leave her. Either you walk away now, and she gets disgracefully expelled from the university, or you take a gamble with me.”

Recalling Huo Jinyun’s reputation for being capable of anything, and hearing that the Huo Family’s old man adored this granddaughter, Qin Moting asked quietly, ”Do you keep your word?”

Huo Jinyun, ”Of course, I keep my word.”

Qin Moting, ”Fine.”

Huo Jinyun glanced at Qin Moting before walking ahead to check into a room.

Qin Moting, carrying his book bag, stood there coldly.

Seeing Huo Jinyun head to the second floor, he slowly followed.

Once inside the room, Huo Jinyun sat down and watched Qin Moting.

Qin Moting took a ”Jurisprudence” textbook from his book bag and sat far from Huo Jinyun to read.

Huo Jinyun sat across from him, watching as her expression grew increasingly unpleasant, ”Qin Moting, are you even a man?”

”...”

”Are you impotent or something?”

”Since Wen Ru is pregnant, what do you think?”

Without lifting his head, Qin Moting’s words ended and he continued reading.
