Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Che Huan wondered if he not only liked eating cherries but also enjoyed swinging on a swing.

Huo Jinnan noticed her expression and stood there, looking at Che Huan, a furrow forming between his brows.

Che Huan chuckled playfully, ”So Huo Jinnan is a little princess.”

Huo Jinnan stared intently at Che Huan for a while, took a drag from his cigarette, pinched it out in his palm, and walked toward her step by step.

Che Huan quickly hopped off the swing and laughed as she ran away.

Huo Jinnan watched her retreating figure. ”Take it slow.”

After running some distance, Che Huan didn’t hear him chasing after her, so she turned back to look in Huo Jinnan’s direction, only to find him sitting on the swing smoking.

Wearing a white shirt, a black suit, and one arm gracefully resting on the wooden swing’s backrest, he was slightly tilted to one side, gazing at her, the other hand holding a cigarette that he puffed from before resting it on his leg, with wisps of blue smoke swirling around.

In the sunlight, he was mesmerizing to the point of being unbearable to look at directly!

Her heartbeat instantly lost its rhythm!

Che Huan was momentarily transfixed, took out her phone, and recorded a short video, posting it on Weibo with the caption, ”Him.”

After putting away her phone, she walked toward him step by step.

Huo Jinnan sat there watching until Che Huan approached. He then firmly stopped the swing with his legs and lifted the hand resting on the swing’s backrest to suddenly grasp Che Huan’s wrist and pull her into his embrace, lowering his gaze, his eyes like deep pools as they landed on Che Huan’s cheek, ”Princess?”

Che Huan didn’t speak, looking at his facial contours, which were too perfect, creating an almost suffocating visual effect.

Huo Jinnan gazed at Che Huan, one arm lifting her to sit next to him, ”Lean on my shoulder.”

Che Huan leaned on Huo Jinnan’s shoulder, looking at the distant view, not knowing if her mood was good or the scenery was beautiful, feeling an unusual sense of ease and contentment.

”Huo Jinnan.”

”Mm.”

”Huo Jinnan.”

”Mm.”

...

She didn’t know what she wanted to do, just kept softly calling his name over and over, and Huo Jinnan, patiently answering her every time.

After leaning for a while, Che Huan grabbed Huo Jinnan’s arm, looked down at his hand, and noticed the scars on the back of it had faded.

She gently brushed over them, her gaze falling on his fingers, suddenly realizing they were bare, nothing on them.

Then looking at her own fingers, there was the diamond ring he had given her.

Thinking about how there were just a few thousand in her card, not enough to buy him a decent ring, she bit her lip.

Huo Jinnan was sitting there, looking at Che Huan, ”Is my hand fun to play with?”

”Fun.”

Che Huan replied, rubbing her hand back against his.

Huo Jinnan watched her childlike action, his thin lips pressed gently against her raven hair, placing a kiss on top.

Che Huan nestled in his arms, ”Huo Jinnan, do you want a son or a daughter?”

Huo Jinnan gazed into the distance, ”Whatever you give birth to, I will want.”

”What if I give birth to a...”

Che Huan turned around to look at Huo Jinnan’s face, not knowing what to add next.

Huo Jinnan looked down at Che Huan, ”You’re also giving birth to something else?”

”...”

Che Huan stared at Huo Jinnan for a long while, then smiled, ”That, I cannot.”

Huo Jinnan held a snuffed-out cigarette between his fingers, ”I thought you could.”

Che Huan looked up at Huo Jinnan, gazed at him for a bit, then sat up, took off her sandals, and lay barefoot on the swing, resting her head on Huo Jinnan’s legs.

Huo Jinnan saw her close her eyes, his long fingers caressing her lips, ”You’re quite clever.”

Che Huan’s lips curved gently upwards, revealing a smile, ”There is a kind of woman who becomes proud because of indulgence, and that’s me.”
