Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”August 17, 1983

Today is my birthday, all I wanted was for him to spend my birthday with me, but he actually refused!”

”August 17, 1983

When I asked about Wen Ru’s boyfriend, she happily told me all about him—haha, Wen Ru, one day, I will snatch Qin Moting away from you and make you regret telling me so much about him!”

Upon reading this, Wen Ru closed her eyes.

Back then, she had gone to tutor Huo Jinyun at the Huo Family because of Xiaoqin, never expecting that Jinyun had set her sights on Qin Moting so early on, and all the more determined to take him away because she was Xiaoqin’s friend.

Whenever Jinyun asked about him, she thought it was just girlish curiosity and would mention a few things about him, never imagining that Jinyun planned to use that information as leverage to snatch Qin Moting away.

She didn’t expect a sixteen-year-old girl to be capable of such profound scheming!

She flipped the pages vigorously and noticed one page was torn out, the date of which was in the year 1990. She had no idea what was written, as it wasn’t mentioned before or after that day.

Furrowing her brows, she thought about how everything happened during the summer of 1993 and so she hastened her pace.

She glanced past one page and continued to flip through the diary.

”January 1, 1993

After several years, I never expected to run into him again—Qin Moting.

Thinking back to my infatuation from my younger years, he’s even more attractive now, wearing a simple black shirt, casually striking a match to light his cigarette, he’s turned into a very charming man.

What surprised me more was that the woman on his bicycle hasn’t changed; it’s still that annoying Wen Ru!

But Qin Moting, you indeed are a man of deep devotion! What to do? I want to steal you away again. I spent three years trying to win you without success, but now? Could the outcome be different?”

”January 10, 1993

He’s still a graduate student, a prominent figure at Law University—

Only after researching all his information did I learn that his family is also from an aristocratic family in Hong Kong, a perfect match for me. As for that Wen Ru, let’s just forget her, from a minor household!”

...

She read on until dawn, only halfway through the entire diary, gripping the pages harder as she went on, her knuckles whitening.

She couldn’t believe how bold and presumptuous the young Huo Jinyun was back then, daring to change the lock on Qin Moting’s rented place off-campus and even sleeping in his bed!

It turns out, Qin Moting moved back to the dorms because he was being harassed by Huo Jinyun.

All this, she never knew! Qin Moting had also never mentioned it to her, probably to avoid affecting her friendship with Xiaoqin, right?

She wasn’t indifferent, it was just that there were many girls who liked him at the school, and she wouldn’t take special notice even if someone mentioned a love letter written to him, so much so that when his buddies mentioned a woman who kept pestering him, she never once thought it could be Jinyun.

And Jinyun, at that time, had deliberately transferred to the administrative department of Law University. She remembers it clearly because she wanted to invite Jinyun and Qin Moting for meals several times, and each time she brought it up to him, he refused.

Flipping through the pages, April approached, remembering that Qin Moting and Huo Jinyun’s engagement was in April, she started to check each page carefully.

Thinking about how Qin Moting said he didn’t remember her, that must have been in April.

Could it be that Huo Jinyun did something to him?

She turned to April 20, took one glance, and was shocked to the core!
