Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Jin Bo looked at his assistant, his eyes shimmering coldly.

”...”

The assistant stood there, silent, his head lowered. Could he tell his boss, the mayor, that he too was browsing Weibo during work hours? After thinking it over, he decided against it.

If he did say that, he’d probably die a very ugly death.

Jin Bo’s eyes hardened, ”Set up an official Weibo account for the mayor and post the recent gift list, with the message ’Don’t let there be a next time.’”

”I’ll get on it right away.”

The assistant turned and quickly headed towards the door, unsure how many people this Weibo post would offend. Mayor Jin just arrived in Hong Kong, how is he planning to get along with everyone? Surely, he wouldn’t be forced to step down within a month, would he?

If he stepped down then, that meant...

The assistant turned back and looked at Jin Bo, ”Mayor Jin, perhaps you should reconsider?”

Jin Bo fixed his gaze on the assistant, ”Reconsider what?”

”When Huo Jinnan, the second son of the Huo Family, was not yet known in Hong Kong, he was called Mr. Huo. Back then, it was said that in the whole Hongcheng, the only person who dared to call himself Mr. Huo was one man, mysterious and enigmatic like a puzzle, accompanied by a giant pet dog named Commander, also very fierce. Those who had offended him never ended well. Just the name Mr. Huo alone would strike fear and trepidation in people’s hearts.”

While talking, the assistant couldn’t quite believe that the previous Mr. Huo and the current Mr. Huo posting pictures showing affection were the same person! In his mind, the two images simply couldn’t overlap, but even these facts couldn’t stop him from becoming a fanboy of Mr. Huo.

”Oh, is that so?” Jin Bo watched his assistant’s reaction, picked up a dart from next to him, looked at the assistant, flexed his wrist and threw it precisely at the bullseye, his voice cold and hard, ”I’ve always been temperamental, and I prefer those with a backbone.”

The assistant looked at Jin Bo, hesitated, but couldn’t hold back, ”Mayor Jin, Liang Hua from Red Top Real Estate, who was very successful in Hongcheng, offended Mr. Huo. Overnight, he was thrown into jail, and his company declared bankruptcy. Earlier this year, a man named Ya Hai who had a small company offended him and was mauled by his dog. His past crimes were exposed, leading to a death sentence.”

Jin Bo gazed at his assistant, a chill settling in the depths of his eyes, growing thicker, ”Are you saying I’m less than a real estate magnate or a small company CEO?”

”I... I didn’t mean that, I... I’ll go apply for the mayor’s Weibo.”

The assistant didn’t dare look at Jin Bo. It was a feeling of excessive lethality!

He had wanted to mention the Qin Family too but swallowed his words and turned to head towards the door.

Jin Bo watched his hasty retreat, ”Send me the username and password later.”

...

Che Huan woke up, rubbed her eyes, and saw the sun was already leaning westward.

She looked up at Huo Jinnan, ”I fell asleep?”

Huo Jinnan maintained the same posture, ”Yes.”

Che Huan sat up, ”How long did I sleep?”

”A few hours, I suppose.”

Huo Jinnan moved his sleepy arms, stood up, and helped Che Huan.

Che Huan, just having woken up, felt limp and without much strength, stretched out her arms, yawned, and snuggled up to Huo Jinnan.

Huo Jinnan glanced at his watch, ”Let’s go back.”

Che Huan acknowledged and followed him back to the living room. She sat on the sofa, picked up her phone, opened Weibo, and saw her followers ”whoosh whoosh” increase by a hundred thousand, which seemed incredible!

She glanced sideways at Huo Jinnan, was it all because of his single photo? Wasn’t that a bit too much?

Returning her gaze to the phone screen, she saw the top trending topic was ”#MayorIsNowFollowingMrHuoAndTata#”.
