Cursed Immortality

Chapter 988: Star Auction Virtual House! (5)

The Star Auction Virtual House’s in-house auction was still continuing.

After the small interlude with the Soul Ballistic Spear, nothing out of the ordinary happened—at least not a famous legendary king with their star ID exposed, who joined the bid again.

Nyx was the same since no other item drew Jacob’s interest after the Soul Ballistic Spear, so she could only watch with a hint of indignation.

One by one, items emerged—rare treasures, some legendary rank scriptures, and even a living slave of the 9-Star Fable Legendary State appeared. As each item was sold, anticipation built like static tension.

By the time Item No. 27—an advanced, legendary lord, universal magic scripture of the earth element—vanished in a haze of closing bids, every dome was nearly silent with restraint.

Everyone was holding back. Everyone was waiting because not a single Legendary King Rank item had appeared yet, and usually, this kind of item was too rare.

In the history of the Star Auction Virtual House, only 4 Legendary King Rank treasures had been auctioned, while many legendary king rank materials.

Nonetheless, the primary focus of this auction was still the Data of the Yang Flame, and it has yet to appear. But now that only three items were left, everyone knew that the primary focus of this auction would be these three items, and those who were holding back would unleash everything once they spotted their prey.

And then, the moment finally arrived.

The Auction Spirit raised both hands as the mist churned more violently than ever before. The ambient lighting across the entire citadel dimmed, and its voice sounded, ”Now, esteemed guests, the final three items of today’s in-house auction will be revealed! So, let’s start without any delay!

”Esteem Guests, Item No.28...!”

The next moment, a new notification flashed across every interface, and not a single person looked away as they all stared at the third-to-last item with burning gazes.

[Item No.28: Law Essence–Legendary King Rank]

[Element: Lightning (Rare Tier)]

[Item Details: The purest form of elemental energy in the legendary plains! A single drop of law essence can help not only comprehend a law of the essence’s element but also increase its comprehension by 0.01~0.10%!]

[Quantity: 15,000 Drops]

The entire audience was shocked when they saw item no.28! Someone had put the Law Essence up for auction, and the quantity was starting as well.

Everyone present at that auction knew about the Law Essence and just how rare it was, but someone had so much of it. Almost everyone’s eyes were green with greed, and some of them even wanted to hunt this guy down, but they were completely helpless in this auction, and the seller clearly knew about it as well.

At this moment, the Auction Spirit suddenly spoke, ”As everyone might’ve already guessed because of the lack of starting bidding price. But for those who don’t know, the reason for the lack of a bidding price is that the seller wanted to have an ’item exchange’ of equal value and something specific.

”In item no.28’s case, the Seller wants to exchange the Lightning Law Essence with Other Law Essences according to this exchange ratio:

”1. 2 Drops of Common Tier Element Law Essence for 1 Drop of Rare Element Law Essence

”2. 1 Drop of Rare Tier Element

”3. 1 Drop of Superior-Tier Element for 10 Drops of this Rare Element Law Essence

”As long as your bid reaches the value of Item No.28, no matter the varieties of the Law Essences, the bid will be considered valid.

”The bidding has already started, and after 300 seconds, if there is no bidder, we’ll move on to the next item.”

In his star dome seat, the Hammer King’s eyes flickered with amusement as he muttered, ”What a cunning fellow. Whoever put this law essence here clearly didn’t want it for cultivating their power, but for something else. They wouldn’t have just asked for any random elements; they would have asked for a specific element that suited them. But if one looks at it from another angle, they might be afraid of revealing their element because there are many ways to find someone from their specific elements as well....”

In another star dome seat, a charming witch was also thinking the same thing as the Hammer King as she chuckled, ”Whoever it is, they clearly not know by showing so much law essence in public, they have already placed a massive target on their backs because this quantity of Law Essence is even rare among the three absolute factions.”

In another spot, a towering giant with emerald skin and white runic markings on his body sneered darkly, ”This guy, he’s either foolish or fearless. After all, even if someone wanted to exchange, they won’t be able to exchange with such a huge quantity...or did he know this, and he gave those three options because he wants others to give him a variety of essence even in a small quantity. The only people capable of doing this are...”

”The Absolute Factions...” A devilishly handsome elf pulled a charming smile with a hint of mischievousness, ”Now that question is who is desperate enough for Lightning Essence within our absolute factions and has the capital to buy this much law essence!”

At this moment, Nyx’s eyes shimmered with surprise because she knew Jacob was searching for these law essences. He even gave Constant Baron-0 a command to look for them, and the Lightning Essence is one among those he was looking for.

She quickly told Jacob about the Lightning Essence, and within a few seconds, her eyes flickered with a hint of elation.

At that moment, she looked at her personal interface in front of her, focusing on the Personal Funds Tracker, which was connected to all the items in Jacob’s space ring that he was wearing with his soul star watch.

”Personal Funds Tracker

”ZC: 2.41 Billion ZC

”Star Crystals: 1.8 Billion (Fable Legendary), 893 Million (Legendary Noble), 84.39 Million (Legendary Lord), 12.9 Million (Legendary King)

”New Funds have been scanned!

”Law Essence: 5,000 Drops (Death Element: Superior-Tier)”

Nyx couldn’t help but giggle like a witch as she coldly glared at those seats and scoffed, ”Alright, who dares to play!?”

Without hesitation, she instantly placed her bid, which equally shocked the entire auction again!

”[Starting Bid: 1,500 Drops of Death Law Essence (Superior-Tier) by Anonymous483934029]”

”Time Remains: 208 Seconds...”
