Chapter 1562: Chapter 44: Battle Flags Gone with the Wind (Part 3)

Some people are left with only mangled limbs, shattered into pieces of flesh scattered everywhere. Others still maintain the integrity of their bodies.

Some people are lying down, some are curled up. Some are kneeling on the ground with their heads resting on the surface, while others are leaning against the Mecha, bodies still standing.

Although the Western Alliance Army had just retreated, sporadic shells continued to fall on the battlefield. Soil, human remains, and steel fragments soared into the sky like splashes of water in the explosions.

In the distance, the clouds were blood red.

Stiller sat on the muddy ground of the ditch, letting the medical soldier wrap his wound. The wound was on his calf; the enemy’s fierce punch shattered the Mecha’s control panel. If he hadn’t retreated quickly, his calf would have suffered more than just a simple gash over ten centimeters long cut by the console.

The wound was deep enough to expose the bone, and without a medical pod, even anesthesia had run out. The Chuckna medical soldier squatting on the ground could only give Stiller a simple bandage.

”Officer, you need to go down for treatment.” Wrapped up the bandage, the medic injected Stiller while packing the medical kit, speaking seriously.

Stiller took the cigarette passed by a bandit soldier, took a fierce drag, and shook his head.

”Officer!” The medic got anxious, raising his voice: ”Your injury has reached the bone, if you don’t use the medical pod for nano repairs quickly, you’ll be crippled!”

In the tattered trench, dozens of Chuckna warriors were drawn to the medic’s loud voice. A Captain turned around and walked over.

”What’s there to be afraid of being crippled?” Stiller chuckled: ”I don’t need my feet to control the Mecha. As long as my hands aren’t broken and I’m alive, I’m not going down.”

As he spoke, he patted the medic’s shoulder: ”I’m fine now, go help the others.”

The medic was clearly a stubborn guy, hearing Stiller say this, he was so anxious his face turned red: ”Officer.....”

Stiller squeezed his shoulder firmly, stopping his nagging, and said calmly: ”I lost more than half a Special Forces Camp here, brother, open your eyes and see, which bandit army goes off the line just for this slight injury?”

Stiller’s words made the nearby Chuckna warriors’ eyes reddened.

The Captain who had approached him initially wanted to help persuade but ultimately closed his mouth, bowing silently.

Next to Stiller, there were more than a dozen Bandit Army mecha pilots, and with the ones in other trenches, the total number didn’t exceed a hundred.

As Stiller said, the Special Forces Camp’s over four hundred Mecha pilots, none of them retreated due to minor injuries. Half of them sacrificed in the deadly fight against the Judgers, more than a hundred fought until their Mechas turned into scrap iron before retreating back to the battlefield in miniature Mechas.

These warriors who lost their Mechas were forcibly sent away from the battlefield under the command of the frontline headquarters.

Each of them was a Level 10 Mech Knight, considered a national treasure, protected with utmost care in any country! Not to mention losing one hundred, even losing one could make the Army generals of the Military Department beat their chests in agony.

The Captain personally escorted two bandit soldiers who lost their Mechas down. He remembered clearly how the two soldiers who just retreated to the trench picked up portable machine guns, eager to engage the enemy like infantry, and he remembered their bloodshot eyes.

Under the situation where three Chuckna Soldiers held each one captive, he managed to ”abduct” the two Bandit Army mecha pilots down.

Throughout the journey, the two mecha pilots kicked and punched, struggling madly. Their scene of refusing to leave their companions to die still made the Captain feel a pang of sorrow when he recalled it.

Who says this is just a powerful group of Militia?

They are the true warriors!

Even the soldiers under their command are like this. The Captain had even less ability to persuade this Special Forces Camp leader in front of him to go down for treatment. To insist on any persuasion would be insulting to this leader.

From the calm look in Stiller’s eyes, the Captain knew that this leader never intended to leave alive.

This is a typical Leray person. He possesses the reckless nature of the Leray people. With half of his subordinates fallen here, he would not allow the remaining forty-plus Judgers to break through this line even if it kills him.

As long as he’s determined on something, as long as the enemy is still standing before him, life and death are trivial to him, as insignificant as a fart.

But.......

The Captain painfully gazed at the Bandit Army mecha pilots in the trench.

These pilots, sit or stand, meditate or smoke, each wrapped in blood-soaked bandages, just as scarred as the Mechas beside them.

The prolonged intense combat has deformed these bandit soldiers with exhaustion. Their cheeks seemed to have thinned out instantly, their eyes enlarged due to drooping eyelids. All he could see in their eyes were bloodshot veins.

Only those who have seen the Judgers firsthand know how terrifying it is to clash with them.

Ordinary Mech Knights, not to mention fight, can’t even withstand a couple of moves. The gap between them is something no amount of passion or desperation can bridge.

Only those with qualification to fight the enemy are these Bandit Army mecha pilots before them.

Yes, from the beginning of the clash, they’ve been fighting desperately. The Green Mecha’s performance was clearly inferior to the opponent’s Twelfth Generation Mecha, and their hand speed was no match for those Judger pilots.
