Chapter 1553: Chapter 42: Shining (Part 2)

Their army training cannot match the Western Alliance, nor do their troop equipment and number of ships. If not for the iron triangle of Feiyang Republic, Ryan Republic, and Chuckna Republic under the Fei Alliance, the affiliated democratic countries would have long since crumbled.

These three countries are the key theaters in this war.

The war between Feiyang and the Binart Empire is the most critical of them all. The ownership of the Karsdon Star River directly determines the outcome of this war.

Currently, the Feiyang Army has lost most of the strategic points in the Karsdon Star River, and the main fleet has been forced to retreat near the national border in disgrace. Forget achieving a major victory; being able to hold out for several months and preventing the aggressive Binart Empire from setting their homeland ablaze is already a blessing.

Next is the Ryan Republic theater. Contrary to the disappointing situation of the Karsdon Star River, this theater is the hope of all the people of the Fei Alliance.

The people who worship Leefer believe that one day, Leefer will lead his army to conquer the Naga Federation and advance from another direction to attack the homeland of the Binart Empire. With the Feiyang Army led by Hastings unable to hold the Karsdon Star River, he is the one they rely on to turn the tide.

Lastly, there’s the Southwest Star Domain, where Chuckna Republic is embroiled with several imperial forces of the Western Alliance.

The war erupted from this domain and quickly spread across the entire human interstellar map. The Western Alliance has spared no effort to gain the Leray Central Channel.

From the initial Gazalin Empire to the later Desic Empire, Jiepeng Empire, and Suss Empire, the major member states of the Western Alliance have taken turns stepping in.

The small Leray Federation, able to defeat Gazalin and put Desic to shame, heavily damage Suss and Jiepeng, was beyond most people’s expectations. Unfortunately, the Leray Central Channel was ultimately opened by the Western Alliance.

With the Saleria Federation changing their stance and the Binart Empire Fleet passing through the Leray Central Channel to join the Southwest battle, Chuckna Republic’s situation is truly worrying.

Now, under the command of Jiepeng General Mikami Yuto, the Western Alliance Army is fiercely attacking the Resk Star System. Once the Resk Star System falls, the gateways to Chuckna’s major star systems will be completely exposed.

Having secured a foothold in the Southwest Star Domain, the Western Alliance can quickly sweep over Chuckna, turning the entire Southeast Star Domain into their backyard while forming an East-West pincer attack on the Feiyang Republic and Ryan Republic.

Therefore, strategically speaking, the Southeast Star Domain at this stage is even more important than Karsdon or the Ryan Battlefield.

These times, the battle in the Southeast Star Domain has been full of upheaval; both sides have pulled off unusual moves in fiercely contested battles. The entire Fei Alliance, from Presidents to ordinary citizens, is paying intense attention to this theater.

Having just changed their war strategy and putting in full effort, can Chuckna defend against the full assault from several imperial forces with their current military capabilities?

What exactly does Hastings plan to do while stationed at Chuckna?

Will his wisdom suddenly shine at a certain moment, bringing enormous surprise to all those who continue to harbor expectations and trust in him?

Moreover, what kind of unit exactly is the bandit army that arrived at Chuckna? Why do they dazzle with ten Mechanical Gods on Canglang Star, yet cause chaos by attacking their allies in Hanjing?

All these are topics of daily discussion among the citizens of the Fei Alliance nations.

Some are anxious, some are full of anticipation, while others are rejoicing at their misfortune and coldly observing.

”I propose the Parliament immediately pressure the Alliance Supreme Command to remove Hastings from the position of Alliance’s First Commander!”

In the huge oval-shaped meeting hall, a representative from Feiyang Republic spoke passionately, directly targeting Hastings.

”Since the war’s full outbreak, the health condition of Marshal Hastings, coupled with the severe situation of the Alliance, have already indicated that he is unsuited to continue serving as the Alliance military commander....

Now, the situation in the Karsdon Star River is continuously deteriorating, and Chuckna Republic faces their greatest crisis since its founding. If we fail to take decisive action, the Western Alliance army will directly invade the homeland of Feiyang Republic! I think everyone should understand what this means for the entire Fei Alliance, right?”

The representative’s final sound dragged long, he surveyed the room, then sat down.

The meeting hall fell silent. Democratic representatives from various countries exchanged looks in sudden commotion. The whispers resembled a spaceship starting its reaction engines, like a disturbed swarm of bees, gradually magnifying.

Some representatives appeared astonished, observing around them. They realized the hall was filled with a peculiar atmosphere.

Directly targeting Hastings like this has never happened in the nearly thirty years of the United Parliament’s history.

In some ways, Hastings is the nemesis of the United Parliament. In its thirty-year existence, the Parliament has changed representatives time and again, yet no one dared to challenge him directly. His presence has prevented the United Parliament from fully controlling the military system of the Fei Alliance.

And at the onset of war, Hastings’ assertiveness and the United Parliament’s own mistakes have kept the representatives silent, unable to comment on the only matters they could influence: the military budget and troop expansion of various countries.
