Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1557: Chapter 43: Madness_2

If the war continues to be led by him, if at the critical moment of the war, he suddenly leaves, and no one is able to shoulder the responsibility of countering Sobel, then what awaits Fei Alliance might be an unimaginable defeat.

The public doesn’t understand this, but many in the Fei Alliance military do. Sometimes they even dare not imagine the days without Hastings!

But that day will inevitably come.

Only by allowing the alliance generals to grow amidst the sword flash and blood storm, only when the Fei Alliance pays the price in the law of the jungle and survival of the fittest, can this vast and outdated alliance achieve self-redemption.

If he continues to support the Fei Alliance, if those problems that should have long erupted continue to linger because of his presence, it would be tantamount to drinking poison for thirst for the Fei Alliance.

Hastings now needs to excise the wound to heal!

Therefore, the current alliance forces cannot be directly commanded by Hastings. And besides him, the remaining candidates are not many.

Within the alliance forces, there circulates a list.

This list includes almost all the famous generals of the alliance forces.

Not only are there Feiyang Generals, but also notable generals from the Ryan Republic and Chuckna Republic, and even military leaders from Second and Third Level countries like the Silliac Federation and Tatania.

Among these people, some have been famous for a long time, while others are young talents who have only started to shine after the outbreak of war. Every one of them is an elite among elites, possessing profound military expertise, distinctive tactical styles, and mature strategic thinking.

The future leader of the alliance forces might be chosen from among them.

And the most possible candidates are two people.

One at the head, one at the tail — two individuals who, in terms of reputation, status, knowledge, experience, personality, and everything else, are worlds apart.

Leefer, Tian Xingjian!

The alliance soldiers are not surprised that Leefer ranks as the top successor on this list, though nobody knows who organized it. Twenty years ago, Leefer was already known as a military genius in the military. His capability to lead troops and command is beyond any doubt.

Just flip through his battle achievements, look at the strict discipline of his troops, and experience the iron-blooded style of the Leefer Legion on the battlefield; no one will voice any disagreement against Leefer being the first in the military.

In fact, many high-ranking generals and government heads of the Fei Alliance view Hastings’s release of Leefer, whom he doesn’t favor, as a tiger at this moment as an indication.

If no other competitors can challenge Sobel, Lord Military God must use Leefer, no matter how he dislikes him.

In a way, this is actually an acknowledgment by the Military God of Leefer.

And the other person is somewhat intriguing.

This Leray Federation Vice Admiral named Tian Xingjian seems to be quite famous in the Southeast Star Domain.

Many people who like to follow foreign war situations seem to have vaguely heard some things about this person. Although they forgot after hearing it at the time, seeing this name alongside Leefer on the list, everyone still felt familiar.

People who paid attention to this matter quickly gathered information about this Leray person with a typical Chuckna name.

When these materials were presented before them, almost everyone couldn’t believe their eyes.

More than four years ago, this guy was merely a mechanic soldier who hadn’t attended Military Academy, now only twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old!

Since the Leray Federation discovered this guy who inadvertently dismantled a Gazalin Armored Division command headquarters from a group of grease-stained soldiers and shaped him into a hero, this Fatty’s streak of luck has never waned.

Rescuing prisoners over a thousand miles made him a hero among heroes. Afterward, saving Russell, becoming Russell’s student, brought him into the high-level’s sight.

Later, capturing the Gazalin Emperor, defeating the Mythical Army, cooperating with allies to win the Mezrich Battle, then single-handedly capturing the Mars Free Port, defeating the Binart Empire Duke Hanfrey in the Longbow Star System, rescuing Li Cunxin...

Each of these achievements and experiences could practically form a legendary novel!

Most importantly, the Military God Hastings is currently staying put in Chuckna because of this guy and his bandit army!

This means that in this entire list, this person’s brilliance is even brighter than Leefer’s!

Moreover, according to reliable information, Hastings’s most beloved granddaughter Margaret has formally joined the bandit army. Also, the twelfth-generation Mecha co-developed by the alliance forces is also in this guy’s hands.

Compared to the twelfth-generation Mecha technology he possesses, the twelfth-generation Mecha from several major arms giants are simply garbage.

Since the end of the Mecha testing conference until now, those major arms giants that publicly accepted orders received only a few symbolic purchases from countries favoring Leefer. Collaborating with the bandit army, Meteor Company and Fulong Sword Company are approached daily by military leaders and government officials from various Fei Alliance countries, persistently asking to spend money on Mecha.

Not only have they snatched the business, but also the military procurement budget controlled by the Fei Alliance Supreme Command has been handed over to them by Hastings.

The budget funds held by the alliance command center are allocated by the heads of countries within the Alliance Commander Department. It’s a substantial amount that, if used to form a fleet or procure Mecha, could instantly turn a small Fei Alliance country into a military power.
