Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 179: Volume 3, Chapter 56, Raid Rules_2

Next was sniping. The sniper facing off against Fatty surrendered just after picking up the simulated sniper rifle, since Fatty was holding a sniper rifle with an infrared scope, choosing a pitch-black night as the sniping area. Isn’t this just playing dirty?

Then came urban combat. The three guides saw a Fatty waving his pistol, wildly chasing a bunch of Freedom Fighters who pitifully clutched simulated daggers.

When all the warriors started learning to ignore the rules and use weapons in the ensuing competition, Fatty came up with a new trick. Stealth. This guy took stealth to the extreme, sneaky to the point of being infuriating. Disguise. Fatty not only disguised himself as a Freedom Fighter, but also as a guide and a referee, sometimes even reverting to himself to announce the end of the confrontation training before chopping down the opposing warrior with one hand. He truly showed all the Freedom Fighters what it means to be a scoundrel and unscrupulous.

When the final hand-to-hand combat confrontation began, the Freedom Fighters were fed up. Someone drove a Mecha out, chasing Fatty with a broken gun all over the base. No one listened to his desperate calls to stop, everyone was determined not to give up until they flattened this Weasel.

In the end, Fatty still won. This guy kidnapped the three guides, shouting, ”If we’re going to finish, let’s all finish together,” while strapping Fusion Hand Grenades to the guides. With his posture of mutual destruction, the Freedom Fighters were ultimately restrained. In a moment of hesitation, Fatty had already relied on the cover of the three guides to hide in the meeting room.

Once inside the meeting room, Fatty immediately announced the end of the confrontation using Sanjad’s voice, then cursed the Freedom Fighters for not knowing the rules using Oberto’s voice, and finally ordered the Freedom Fighters to get out of the Mecha and assemble using Yaric’s voice!

Scoundrel, such a scoundrel!

This Fatty was so shameless it made people want to cry! The three guides, their mouths stuffed, were tearless. Watching the Freedom Fighters reluctantly leave their Mechas, Fatty then used Sanjad’s voice to order all warriors to gather and deposit the Mecha remote controls in the meeting room. When a Freedom Fighter carrying all the remotes stepped into the room and was knocked out unceremoniously by Fatty, the three guides finally knew—damn, so this is how heroes are trained.

The final outcome left the Freedom Fighters stunned, unable to believe their eyes. Is there really such a shameless warrior in this world? Who could be this guy’s opponent? Everyone finally understood that all Tian Xingjian had done was to make everyone realize that on the battlefield, only victory and defeat matter, not the rules.

Fatty left the base gracefully. After he left, he left behind a group of Freedom Fighters studying the ”Enemy Rear Assault Rules,” and the base’s training started to slowly transform. It was a sad change. Later, anyone with a bit of conscience who came to this base would go mad, and anyone without any conscience would feel ashamed. Indeed, it turned out there were even more unscrupulous people in this world than themselves.

Lucerne Elephant Mountain.

Autumn is long on the Lucerne Planet. People say the sky is high and the air is crisp in autumn, and on this planet, one can deeply feel it. Red autumn leaves cover the mountains like a tapestry. The golden yellow, red, yellow, and green interlaced, making Elephant Mountain breathtakingly beautiful. If it weren’t for the trenches, fortifications, Mecha, and soldiers of field army camps, this place would indeed be a paradise.

But now, this paradise-like place has turned into a huge military camp filled with air-force bases, army barracks, missile bases, and various advance bases.

By late September, the Leray Federation had amassed a force of over 700,000, including twenty-three fully mechanized infantry divisions and ten armored divisions, which had firmly taken root from the Kanalos Plain in the north to the Amayo Mountain in the south. With the strong support of the Federation’s airdrop capabilities, they launched pincer attacks, advancing fiercely towards Amayo Mountain and the strategic military location, East Valley City.

As long as these two strategic military locations are seized, Lucerne Planet’s largest industrial city, Wali City, would be like a lady with her skirt lifted, positioned and giving up all modesty, requiring only a fierce and overwhelming attack to completely conquer her.

Both sides have put in their all, with the Leray Federation’s two advancing forces like two daggers flashing with Cold Radiance, each strike more powerful than the last, piercing towards the Amayo Mountain defense line and the outskirts of East Valley City. The Gazalin Empire has not been idle either, continuously amassing troops here. Their goal was not just to defend these two strategic locations but to counterattack Elephant Mountain, completely removing this dagger embedded in the Eastern Hemisphere, which is what the Gazalin Empire Army desired.

Both sides were filled with determination, clashing head-on. It is imaginable how arduous this battle was. Soldiers fell asleep every day in extreme exhaustion, with the surrounding bombardment failing to wake them. As soon as the relieving forces arrived, these soldiers would curl up in the trenches at the rear of the positions, sleeping while on standby as reserves, ready to fight again at any time.

The SkyNet System was intermittently available, and the Electronic Soldiers were even more exhausted than the combat units at the front lines. On this battlefront, sleep became the biggest enemy of these soldiers who spent all day working tirelessly in front of electronic equipment. Every day, they fought to get two to three hours of sleep, their eyes red.
