Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 85: Chapter 84:You’re Strong!

A/N: I should’ve said this like 4-5 Chapters back, but we’ve finally crossed the 100k words milestone..

100k words, and you guys have put up with my flawed grammar till this point, I’m grateful and look forward to more milestone breaking achievements..

Without wasting your time further, let’s dive back in...

**************

The moment the leaderboard appeared, the entirety of the audience’s attention turned toward it..

I looked up and froze..

”What?..” what I was currently seeing didn’t seem to register properly..

”Booooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Boooooooo!!!!!!!!!

”Shitty tower played dirty....”

”We need a retake, redo the tests...”

The solemn atmosphere cracked like fragile glass the moment the crowd saw the absurdity being displayed...

Leaderboard..

1- Thaddeus Calder- 8,000 points..

2- Michell Rosalind- 7,900 points...

3- Micheal Solaris- 7,500 points...

4- Dante Draven- 7,000 points...

5-....

.....

”How is that even possible???” I was stumped...

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t about to claim being the strongest participant here(I obviously was) but even then, how the fuck did these three survive anything past the 70th floor?

Hell even going past the 60s would’ve been a monumentally difficult endeavor..

I didn’t know how broken talents and bloodlines beyond SSS was, but I knew for sure that nothing within the mortal stages could help you past those floors and I knew for sure that the ruling family of the Supreme City, Helios City, was nothing more than an offshoot of the real Overlords of the eastern domain’s Calder Imperial Family..

Yes their station was a bit higher than the Solaris family of bright sun city, with them being of a closer relation to the main family, but their bloodlines had not crossed that grade..

So how the fuck was someone with an SSS rank bloodline fighting things that should have been S-rank and beyond..

8,000 points meant this guy actually fought and survived a SS-rank being..

Yea, no fucking way in hell..

BOOOOOOOOOO....

The rain of foods and drinks that battered the platform, the crowd’s show of pure outrage told me that clearly, something untoward had happened during my resting period..

”Stupid tower actually played such a dirty trick, huh?” It couldn’t beat me, so it decided to short change me instead?

”My opinion of you drops lower and lower each day..” I shook my head..

I wasn’t bothered by the results..

I couldn’t bring myself to care..

Not when I knew perfectly well that I could slap all three of those people to death if I got serious...

”You must be Dante..” a soft feminine voice pulled me from my violent thoughts..

I turned around, my eyes catching sight of nothing, I couldn’t help scratching my head in confusion..

”Down here..” the voice drew my attention downward..

And there, staring up at me with a pair bright emerald green eyes, was a young woman my age or possibly a year older, her bright red combat uniform clung tightly to her lithe frame, green hair spilling like a waterfall down her back..

Her height placing barely on the same level as my torso..

A sword was strapped firmly to her waist, close enough for her to pull it out at any given moment..

I could feel the air around her charged with a sharp and deadly intent..

[You have acquired the passive ability .....

....

(A/N: no, this does not mean he’ll be walking the path of a sword user, it’s just his ability doing what it was meant to do)

.....

Ohh.. so that’s what it was..

Sword intent huh, I didn’t think I’d be getting such a classic fantasy ability just by looking at such a petite pretty face..

”Man you’re tall, just what the hell do you eat?”.

Before I could reply, I saw her expression slowly morph into stunned silence..

Shock coloring her pretty face..

The reason?

A sharp and deadly domain had spawned around me, the energies sharp enough to cut through steel..

”Sword intent.. how do you have sword intent??”

”And why’s it this powerful??” Her shocked voice reached me, I shrugged whilst answering, ”I’m built different”.

It wasn’t a lie, I was indeed built different..

Her expression toned down into mild suspicion..

I could see she was still skeptical, but she had the presence of mind enough to know that we weren’t anywhere near close enough to bug me for details..

”I’m Michell Rosalind” she extended her hand for a shake..

I looked at the slender arm, the slender frame it was attached to and hesitation crossed my face..

I wasn’t bulky, not by any means , I was more compact and athletic, yet the thought of my massive frame shaking those slender limbs made me fear for breaking it...

”Humph... I’m not so fragile as to break from a mere handshake..” she huffed, annoyed at the very thought of someone underestimating her because of her height..

”Alright then, your funeral..” saying so, I clasped her hand, giving it a firm shake.

”I’m Dante.. Dante Draven..”

”Hehehe.. I know, you’ve been quite the sensation with how fast you blitzed through the trial” she laughed coyly, I didn’t know if it was her attempt at seduction, but it definitely didn’t work..

Hell, it even made me a bit restless and reluctant.

She was beautiful no doubt, but she lacked the proper assets to be pulling any ounce of my attention..

My eyes going briefly to the grape sized attachments on her chest and her virtually nonexistent behind..

Yea.. definitely not..

”Yea, much help that did.. you guys still surpassed me in the end” I replied with a smile..

”Meh..meh.. I’m sure if you hadn’t quit for unforeseen reasons, you’d be up there.”

”Oh! And what made you think I had quit for unforeseen reasons and not just because I was out of my league” I couldn’t help asking with a teasing smile..

”Because.. you’re strong!” She answered. Tone firm. All jokes gone from her expression..

”You’re strong.. stronger than any candidate here. I can feel it. If I should make a move here, I would lose without even knowing how” She added..

”Hmm.. that’s quite the assumption, and where did you get that thought from”

”I’m a swordsman.. and if there’s one thing we have, it’s a frightening intuition, and right now, mine is screaming at me to get as far away from you as possible..” she replied..

”And yet, here you are.”

”Yea.. because I don’t believe you’re someone who attacks unprovoked”

”Nice of you to assume anything about me” the feral grin that appeared on my face would’ve scared probably anyone else, and yet..

”Again, intuition. I trust you wouldn’t do something so thankless” she smiled..

I stared at this young woman properly this time..

Despite her saying she knew she stood no chances against me, she wasn’t the least bit scared, not from her loose and relaxed posture..

”Hmm.. you’re weird..your intuition is just as weird” I paused slightly, before turning around..

”Luckily I don’t find weird stuff annoying”..

”Fufufufu.. I guess that means we can be friends now right?” She asked, yet before I could answer..

”Tsk.. to think you’d stoop so low to talk to some lowlife from some backwater alley, michell, how low you’ve fallen..”

I suddenly hear an irritating voice..

”One break.. I just can’t get a single break from annoying young masters now can I?”

With thoughts of violence budding within me, I turned to see just who was the newest addition to my list of candidates to deliver an ass whooping to
