Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 77: Chapter 76:Time for round two..

Ever wondered what it’d look like when the sun and a storm appeared at the same time, within the same skies?

Well, it wasn’t a pretty sight I’ll tell you that..

The moment I activated the skill a resounding rumble shook the entire floor...

The sky tore itself open.

Lightning — pillars of golden-white fire, thick as redwoods — speared the earth without pause, without mercy. Each strike detonated with a crack that split the air, thunder rolling over thunder until the sound had no break, only rage.

Wind didn’t blow. It spiked. It knifed through the streets in sudden, shrieking currents, ripping sideways, then up, then down — as if the air itself was being beaten.

And the rain —

Not drops. Not sheets.

It was a hammering, droning downpour of furious judgement, whole buckets hurled from a sky that wanted blood. It hit the ground so hard it bounced back up as mist, then got beaten down again.

The storm wasn’t coming.

It was already here. And I was furious.

And if you thought that was the end, then think again..

I had just gotten my delusions of grandeur shattered..

I had just been woken up to reality..

Yes, I had terrifying abilities.

Yes, I was not one to be compared with my peers.

But in this world of hidden monsters and terrors, I was still far from being the strongest..

Besides, this was the first time I’ve had the opportunity to go all out since my last fight with the Wyvern, I was apprehensive yet undeniably excited...

So right now, I wasn’t taking any chances, I was going to give it my all, and by all, I MEAN EVERYTHING...

”Divine Apotheosis”....

I felt it immediately...

My strength, speed and everything else soared..

My senses sharpening to a terrifying degree...

An aura of pure menace drifting out of me...

”Hoooo....” I breathed out slowly, stellar flames bursting from my mouth, the death fog hissing menacingly....

I clenched my fists.

Crackle...

The power thrumming through me was exhilarating, I felt almost invincible..

Almost.

I wasn’t making that mistake again..

The stacking effect of all my abilities and powers coming into play beautifully...

But one thing remained to put the cherry on this ready to explode cake..

And almost as if sensing my intention, golden scales appeared all over my body, the electric veined pattern within them catching the flaming light and reflecting them beautifully..

They covered my arms, torso, back and lower head area..

Leaving my chest and face exposed.

The moment they formed, a thick pillar sized lightning bolt struck me directly..

Booooom!!!!!

There was no dust, no carnage, the scales absorbed the lightning, the electric-vein like patterns lightin up instantly..

I could feel my speed taking a huge leap...

This was it..

Barring all the passive boosts my numerous abilities gave me, this was my current strongest state without utilizing ..

I would have loved to use it as well, but the CE cost of doing such a thing would be downright abysmal..

After all, the more powerful the force I take control from, the more costly my energy usage.

And I didn’t believe I could offset taking control of the surrounding environment from these two without paying a steep price..

So for now, it would have to play back up....

I looked up, and there they were, still standing, motionless..

”It seems you’re finally done...”

I kept quiet, channeling my power for the clash to ensue..

”Well then, grandson, come show grandpa just what you’re made of”...

Before the words could even register, a massive pitch black fist was already blasting toward my head, threatening to tear it clean off or shatter it into pieces, whichever came first...

I’d seen this movie before, just moments ago in fact..

You got me once, but unfortunately for you...

[Chaotic adaptation activating..]

’What doesn’t kill me only makes me stronger’..

I could see it this time, not as fast as I wanted it to be, but enough, it was enough...

My right fist blasted outward in retaliation.....

Boooooommmmm!!!!!!

The collision between our fists was apocalyptic...

The fog recoiled, the clouds in the sky had a hole punched through them from the shockwaves...

We didn’t relent....

The floor tore open as a slash of devastating proportions tore straight towards me..

A storm blade materializing in my hand, I swung it out furiously...

Ruuuummmbleee...

The rumbling of thunder accompanied it...

Boooooommmmmmm.....

Another apocalyptic clash blasted chunks of debris and rubble flying....

”DESCEND!!” Like a god of thunder and lightning, I called forth destruction....

Crackle!!!

Crackle!!!!

Thick, pillar sized bolts of lightning tearing through the skies as they fell in furious judgement over the death knight..

”Hahahahahahaha... exquisite... marvelous....” The knight laughed, unbothered by the deluge of lightning currently bathing its form..

”

...

Everything seemed to freeze the moment his voice sounded out, my instincts screaming at me....

Yet I reacted too late..

{##%%%END#%%}.... I couldn’t even make out the full sentence, only able to see the consequences...

The thick bolts of lightning, the heavy storm clouds, the furious rain..

EVERYTHING.

Died. Vanished. Erased..

Even I, myself had been erased multiple times, taking chunks of Chaos Energy just to preserve my little life..

This felt like Atmospheric Erasure only with more violent elements...

I stood, jaw slack, eyes trembling..

’What the fuck was that?’

”Hmm, this is not the time to be distracted little one!!!!” A cheerful voice drew back my attention...

Crackkkk!!!!!!

A deafening blow connected with my head as I could hear my own skull cracking and shattering....

Before I could even recover from that, a nasty sword thrust had already arrived at my torso

”Shit!!!!”

I swung the storm blade in my hands with everything I had...

Craaaaackkkkleeee!!!

The crackling of lightning and the hissing of death resounded audibly even in our spat...

We became nothing but a blur...

The skies roared, the storm getting more and more furious..

The miniature sun I’d summoned burning brighter every second..

I could feel the toll of the skills I’d activated piling up, but was still offsetting the costs, and I was getting stronger by the second....

Booooommmmm!!!!!!!

Another thunderous clash...

Our blades crossed as we stared at each other...

Liquid magma eyes vs Demonic red eyes

Stellar flames and storm essence vs pure death...

The clash of our aura as we remained deadlocked shook the entire floor, but not for long...

The effects of finally kicked in, the stacking of the Solar Essence within me giving me that edge I needed...

With a manic roar, I pushed harder, my storm blade blasting the massive great sword aside.

I didn’t give the knight a chance to react, I swung the blade with all the fury of a thunder god...

Lightning, wind, water and stellar fire combined to form a catastrophic element as the attack landed with a deafening explosion on the death knight, blasting it backwards....

Crashhhhhhh...

”Hoooo....Haa...Haa..” I breathed heavily, trying to catch my breath...

My abilities slowly recovering my lost stamina..

I stood, the pride I’d lost earlier slowly returning..

Not overconfidence, No. just pride in myself, in the progress I’d already made in such little time...

I looked up and froze..

The knight was back up, his armor still as pristine as the beginning..

”Hahaha... that was a close one, you seem to still be getting stronger” he cracked his metallic neck..

”I guess I’ll have to get a bit serious too”..

The moment he said that, the surrounding death fog roiled....

His aura deepened, so much so that I could feel his presence everywhere...

”Alright little one, time for round two”
