Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 53: Chapter 52:Status!

[Ding!]

[Talent path progression selected]..

[Your talent is evolving...

The moment that notification appeared, I could feel something shift within me..

This talent evolution felt different..

Unlike the time my useless underwent evolution under the title, that natural progression from one stage unto the next.

This felt Forced. Like the talent wasn’t yet ready or wasn’t compatible? But was being forced to evolve regardless...

I could feel a presence moving within me.

It felt old..

Ancient..

Timeless....

It reached deep within, deeper than flesh, deeper than blood, deeper than thought, until it finally brushed against my very soul...

A euphoric feeling washed over me at that instant as a clarity unlike any other I’ve ever experienced before came over me, yet before I could revel in that wonderful feeling, it vanished and then right on cue...

[DING!!]

My system chimed, bringing forth news...

[Talent evolution successful...

[Talent has evolved successfully.....

[New talent acquired...]

.......

The system seemed to pause, almost as if taking a deep breath before announcing whatever it had for me..

And right when my patience was wearing thin..

[Ding!]

[You have received the talent .....]

.......

.....

I just stared.....

Let the moment sink in..

I’d read through all three talent paths, and truthfully, this was what aligned most with me.

Not to mention the devouring aspect of the talent would synergize perfectly with my ..

And yet, looking at it, looking at the announcement, it still felt surreal...

...

It wasn’t a mirage...

I’d really gotten my hands on such an unfair advantage..

At this point, If I accomplished anything less than flawless results in the upcoming trials, then It’d be better for me to hit my head on another fire hydrant and die....

And so, with bated breaths, I called up my status, just to see how far I’d come...

Status...

.....

The first thing that caught my eye was the high energy count...

”Seems that final burning of mana crystals increased my chaos energy reserves quite a bit, added with what I got from the dragon...” I whistled, that was quite a lot...

With that much energy, I’d have no worries about running out of juice mid battle again, unless of course I faced something way out of my league....again...

”Heh..not that I’m complaining, I mean just look at the returns..”

I shifted my attention away from the energy count, moving on, i spotted my new line up of talents and I must say..

”Looking good” the stack up was utterly unfair..

With and I was set for the foreseeable future, as for the other two S-ranked talents, their evolutionary requirements were kept at the back of my mind, once I’m in Aeternum, they’d be the first agenda on my list..

One by one I inspected all my attributes..

My stats that had gone up after ranking up, the absurd amount of free attributes just waiting for me to splurge and then last but not least, the elephants in the room..

Dante Von Draken..

Ravena Von Draken..

Melisandre Von Draken...

The system had aptly changed our names to the real ones...

”Melissandre huh..” I couldn’t help chuckling at that, ”I wonder what her reaction will be like when I call her that instead of Melissa?” The thought of her shocked and confused expression amused me to no end..

No, I wasn’t bothered. It was merely a change in their names..

For the fact that the system acknowledged them as my partners, it meant their feelings were genuine, what use have I for names?

That said tho..

”System, return my name to the previous one” I ordered sternly..

[Are you sure host?]

”I have no love for the Draken family, and I wish not to ingratiate myself with them, so from now henceforth, like my father named me, I shall be Dante Draven. No more. No less”

[Ding]

[Request acknowledged..]

...

”Good” I smiled...

Now unto Better things... and by that, I obviously mean disturbing my sexy ass aunt.....

*************

”So let me get this straight..” aunt Raven said, drying her hair softly, the towel wrapped around her body protesting against such an unfair treatment..

I stared, unblinkingly at the masterpiece before me..

”You sat down, devoured a dragon and then somehow ended up with a talent that literally lets you govern the firmament itself?” She asked, the disbelieving tone of her voice clear..

”Mmhmm...” I answered offhandedly, gulping softly as she walked towards me, assets swaying in ways that’d make a eunuch get a hard on..

”And you don’t think this is getting a bit too ridiculous?” She finally stopped at the edge of the bed, her black jewel eyes looking down at me..

”Kyaaaaaa.....”

I didn’t answer, merely pulled her into bed with me...

”It doesn’t matter how ridiculous it gets” I said slowly, as her head rested softly on my chest, the warmth of her body grounding me...

”All that matters is that now, I have something to use and make them pay..”

”And pay, aunt v, they shall..” I said, eyes glowing..

”Alright then, I’m guessing that means, you’re confident about the trials tomorrow..”

”Tomorrow?” I asked Voice dripping contempt..

”Forget tomorrow aunt v, the entire Aeternum examination is about to get hit by a storm never seen before..”
