Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 51: Chapter 50:

”Sigh... enough of this depressing shit. The plan remains the same”. After all, it’s not like I haven’t defeated overwhelming odds before right?

I’d fought something that nullified one of my most powerful cards.

Something that shrugged off True Fucking Damage like it was nothing..

Nearly folded me like laundry and almost deleted me from existence.

Yet I won. I prevailed..

The situation I was currently in is basically my reward for overcoming impossible odds, and from here on out, ”I am only going to get stronger”...

I resolved..

”Time to see just what this dragon’s talent is all about”

_____________

”Damn, no wonder that thing was damn near unbeatable”.

The synergy between its bloodline, physique and talent just made it a nightmare to fight against..

You get absolute control of storms and the atmosphere with the bloodline..

A physique to make sure your own abilities don’t burn you out like a circuit.

A talent that generates and gives you the environment to exercise all that power freely...

I could feel my eyes twitch, especially at that ”pressure collapse” ability, that was definitely what almost turned me into folded laundry..

Damn....

”Hehehe... but now, it’s all mine baby....” The feeling was euphoric..

Such a synergistic skill set would make me an absolute menace..

And the fact that the physique scales with strength? Boy sign me up..

I’m about to become an even more absurd terror...

”So, what’s next?”

I was excited for the next thing on the list, and boy, was it something else...

[Ding!!]

[Catalyst detected...

[Initiating talent evolution...

[Your talent is evolving....

”Right, I almost forgot”. With how useless the talent had been against the dragon, I’d almost forgotten that the only reason I went after that thing in the first place, was to evolve this talent beyond its current level..

”Let’s see what get..” I rubbed my hands excitedly...

[Ding!]

[Talent successfully evolved...

[ -> ...]

”Nice. Another SS rank weapon, now let’s see what you do at a higher rank”

____________

I’d noticed earlier and now this confirmed it..

”Seems like talents and bloodlines beyond the S-rank have unique abilities tied to them”..

I muttered to myself, staring at the display before me..

I won’t lie, after all I’ve seen from the dragon’s skill set, the evolved version of this skill didn’t feel so great..

Don’t get me wrong it was an incredibly powerful ability, but when compared to it still felt outmatched.

”Seems even within the same rank, there are still differences”..

I know it wasn’t going to be a total suppression like earlier but the offensive capabilities of took the edge...

Nevertheless I was happy, two new SS-rank talents, an SS-rank bloodline and an SS-rank physique..

”Not a bad day at wo....”

[DING!!!]

I hadn’t even gotten the word out when my system interrupted me with a very loud Ding..

The sound noticeably more pronounced...

[Compatible Talents detected..... Talent merge possible.....

My heart stilled..

”No..Way..” my breathing got heavy...

There was no way it was what I was thinking, there’s just no way that’s happening...

[Talent + ...

[Talent merge initiated.....

It’s happening, it’s really happening ..

”Holy shit!!!” I jumped to my feet, body trembling from excitement....

This was it, Gods this was it..

I was about to get the biggest payoff yet...

[DING!!]

The system’s ding made my palms sweat nervously...

[Talent merge successful...

The wind vanished..

My unblinking gaze focused on the display before me, willing this stupid system to get to the point...

[New talen acquired....

[You have received the talent ....]

I just...Stared..

Unblinking, worried that if I blinked, the words would vanish...

I felt shell shocked.

One devouring session, and I’d skipped straight to the big leagues..

Wasn’t I just wondering how broken SSS-rank talents were? Now I get to see and own one myself?

And almost as if teasing me, the system didn’t even bother to wait for me, it displayed the ridiculousness of the new talent right before my eyes.....

_____________

Mind...Blown...

It seems the universe had heard my plea and decided to throw me a bone..

What were these abilities?

It took and merged them into something utterly unfair..

This talent literally makes me THE FIRMAMENT, it’s not about storms or air anymore, it’s become the literal firmament in which these two existed..

Earlies I’d been wondering how unfair an SSS-rank talent would be and right, I just got my answer..

”Totally unfair...”

But you know the cherry on the cake?

That final line..

”Full potential dependent on user capacity.”

What this meant was that this talent was scalable...

And with my Chaos Energy In the mix of things, didn’t I just get something that would turn me into the nightmare of anyone dumb enough to stand before me?

Thinking this, I couldn’t help myself any longer..

I know I’ve cursed a lot, more times than I can count..

But this time it was well deserved because..

”Fuck.. I’m about to break the game...”

Ahhhhh... if only I knew just how true those words were...
