Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 63: Chapter 62:Impossible!

The first 100 floors of the tower of ascension, believe it or not, acted more like an introduction, a tutorial of sorts to the true tower’s trials..

It worked in the format where on the first 10 floors, you faced creatures at the same rank as yourself, but with progressively difficult settings, now, this could be either an upgrade in the creature’s grade or simply an increase in their quantity..

In some fucked up situations, it could be both..

The next 10 floors sees you facing creatures +1 rank higher..

Then unto the next and so forth...

So it didn’t come as a surprise when people were surprised at the what they were currently seeing..

”Woah!!!”

”Who’s that???”

”He’s just running through those monsters like they’re nothing!”

Exclamations filled the crowd as their excited gazes settled on the images currently being displayed...

On the screens of everyone currently in Helios City or it’s subordinate cities, the projection of multiple young talents , were being displayed..

Micheal Solaris seemed to have finally found himself again when Dante was taken out of the picture, his golden flames were making light work of the creatures he was currently facing..

He’d already scaled through three floors and was currently on his fourth, his opponents being a group of over 50 uncommon kobolds..

”” his hands gathered an obscene amount of flames, the temperature shooting to unbearable levels..

The skin and fur of the creatures could be seen visibly melting...

”DIEE!!!!” Then with all the rage he’d kept pent up within him, he hurled the condensed ball of flames at the remaining kobolds..

Boooom!!!!!

An explosion rocked the rocky canyon he was in, the rest of the dog headed creatures vanishing into ash and sorrow...

”Haa...Haa....” His breathing was haggard..

The cost of using his abilities constantly wearing on him...

”Damn it..”

”Status”

”Damn it, I’m almost out of mana..”

Micheal gritted his teeth, his face grimacing as he turned his attention towards the leaderboard before him..

His performance was impressive, having scaled throug four floors despite the test only just beginning.

But even he had to admit his loss, because there were still those above him, not to mention HIM!!

His teeth gritted so hard they almost cracked when he saw the uncontested name in number one..

DANTE DRAVEN-900 points..

900 points..

That meant Dante had already cleared 9 floors of the tower.. and it hadn’t been an hour since the tests even began..

The second place, someone named Thaddeus Calder, had only just cleared his 5th floor, there was No contesting it..

”Damn it.. Damn it.. why does it have to be him...?”

.....

He wasn’t the only one wondering though..

Swoooooshhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

The roaring of flames slowly died down as the tornado of blue-gold flames receded into the body of young man with flowing silky black hair, the pride and arrogance within his beautiful gold eyes unmistakable.

He patted the dust off his robes with a nonchalant expression, his gaze drifting towards the floating leaderboard, what he saw made his brows furrowed..

”Dante Draven? Who’s that?” The young man was confused..

The last time he’d checked, he was number one, how’d he suddenly get overtaken in the span it took to clear 2 floors, and not just overtaken but overtaken so completely...

”Interesting.. it seems this trial won’t be as dull as I though it’d be” with a smile on his face, the boy proceeded to challenge the next trial, not even bothering to take a rest..

......

”Dante Draven? Where did such a fellow come from I wonder” a soothing voice carried through the wind as the bisected corpses of multiple bullheaded creatures painted the surroundings of what was once a bright and lively forest in deep shades of crimson..

The culprit currently sitting comfortably atop a massive bullheaded creature’s corpse..

”To think he could even overtake that pretentious guy Thaddeus” she muttered to herself, legs swinging nonchalantly...

”I guess I should up my game then..” she hopped off the creature’s corpse, willing herself into the next floor...

Outside the tower, the people currently focused on the various screens depicting the most outstanding participants so far couldn’t help being startled when a sudden yell broke out, ”How’s that even possible??”

”What?” The man closest to the culprit couldn’t help asking in annoyance, as the exclamation had broken his focus from the beautiful lady currently swing a sword, though his eyes weren’t anywhere near the sword...

The culprit didn’t answer, his incredulous gaze still trained in the leaderboard..

”That’s not real, right?”

”How can someone be that fast?”

”Did he teleport there or are the monsters sleeping?”

Eventually the shocked murmurs of the crowd drew the man’s attention to what everyone seemed to focused on..

The moment his eyes found the name at the top of the leaderboard, his expression froze..

One must know, the current most outstanding participants had just cleared the 5th floor, and on that floor, they’d already faced [Elite] grade creatures, and not just one, but multiple groups of them..

It wasn’t an easy win, no matter how nonchalant the participants tried to make it look.

So now, looking at the name siting comfortably at the number one spot was shocking, more shocking were the points behind the name..

Dante Draven- 900 points..

”900...900 points.. that’s 9 floors cleared.. just.. how?” The man’s vocabulary was failing him..

In less than an hour, someone had already cleared 9 floors and none seemed to have noticed it till now?

Almost as if answering the people’s questions, a shimmering screen appeared, it dominated the viewing of everything..

On it, a young man could be seen, snow-white hair waving with the forest wind, golden eyes of such intensity it felt like looking directly into the sun, his impossibly beautiful face causing more than a few ladies to have emergency bathroom breaks..

But what made the image more jarring was the young man’s surroundings..

Corpses.. piles of bodies and limbs scattered in macabre fashion..

The vibrant green of the beautiful forest had turned a deep crimson..

The young man currently sat on what was probably the largest goblin corpse within the area..

It’s skin was red, the taut thick vine like veins still bulging beneath a muscular frame that looked built for nothing less than pure carnage..

And yet, it had been reduce to nothing more than a corpse, it’s head no where to be found..

”Sigh...” the young man’s sigh broke people out of their shock..

”I got excited for nothing. None of these things could even take a single punch” his words sent another wave of shock through the audience..

”He defeated those things with his fists?”...

That was the collective thought that echoed within people’s minds in pure disbelief..

”I guess the first few floors aren’t anything special. Let’s hope the higher floors don’t disappoint” his tone of voice made it clear he wasn’t impressed.

In fact, the note of contempt within his vilify wasn’t missed by anyone.

Their faces couldn’t help but twitch..

”It’s not the test that’s weak, you’re just a freak”..

The audience couldn’t help scolding ..

Valen’s face twitched ever so slightly when he heard Dante’s disdainful words..

”This child...”

”My lord.. are you sure he’s merely an E-rank talent wielder?” A supervisor couldn’t help asking, shock evident in his face..

But before valen could answer, ”humph, of course he is..” the cold faced ugly bitch (Dante’s words not mine) answered back..

”It is merely the first few floors, he’ll wake up to reality soon enough”

Valen shook his head, eyes returning to the screen as Dante’s figure shimmered and vanished, going straight for the tenth floor, the first benchmark...
