Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The reason Li Xinlong can sit here is not because his agreement is needed but to let him know that this matter is easy to hand over.

After finishing discussing two matters, only five to six minutes had passed, an extremely high efficiency.

Everyone waited for the train conductor’s last issue.

”Emm...” Su Huan contemplated, ”The third issue is my recent idea, regarding the severe imbalance of resources in Zhijin. Currently, our evolution materials are very abundant, but we lack some basic living materials. Although some things can be scavenged from the city, relying on scavenging alone, a city of 100,000 people definitely cannot be established.”

Everyone looked slightly puzzled, as most people did not deal with resources and were not clear about the macro imbalance.

Only a few key people like Hu Shuo and Shu Wei would know these critical data.

”So I want to move the Scavengers’ black market into Zhijin, and after sorting out the Zhijin station, initiate a large-scale trade.”

Professor Wang Duoyu’s eyes suddenly lit up in the crowd.

Isn’t this exactly the currency cycle he talked about in the six major cycles? Now that the previous cycles are being slowly built, the sixth one is also being put on the agenda?

If all six cycles are implemented, relying on his merits, he could firmly secure a Level 5 Crew qualification on the train.

Although it’s not the conductor in charge, it’s still a formal entry into the management level.

Rather than being in the current ambiguous auditing identity.

Yu Jing looked up from the blueprints, surprised, ”Wasn’t it said that there was no suitable currency?”

”Solved, just made it a few days ago, Boss.”

Su Huan said lightly.

The prepared boss pulled out a handful of bullets from a small bag at his waist and distributed them to everyone present.

While distributing, he chuckled foolishly, ”It’s not just my credit, mainly relying on brothers from the Pan-Energy Weapons Laboratory, and Tan Yunxi played a major role.”

In the crowd, Tan Yunxi discreetly raised her chin, puffed out her chest, and her swaying tail swept the floor so polished it was reflective.

Vice President Deng instantly laughed, ”Why do I feel the last sentence was added temporarily?”

Everyone laughed kindly.

The boss also laughed, ”What I said was true, let Tan Yunxi introduce it to you, she’s more familiar with it.”

Tan Yunxi stood up, flicked her two triangular big ears, full of spirit.

Her voice was crisp, ”There are currently three types of bullets, namely 9mm pistol rounds, 7.62mm rifle rounds, and 12.7mm heavy machine gun rounds. More might be added later, but to turn them into currency, applicability needs to be considered; currently, producing these three is the most suitable.”

”We combined the ’Armed’ characteristic discovered recently, using the energy conversion feature of the ’Power Supplier’, and then guided it to inject into the bullet, creating these specially effective bullets.”

”Currently, there are two effects, explosive and armor-piercing. Compared to conventional explosive rounds, the Pan Energy explosive round is more potent. Even with handguns, there is no impact at all. Originally, bullets only effective against ordinary zombies, when using Pan Energy explosive rounds, can cause effective obstruction to Tier One Zombies.”

He Jie noticed her choice of words and couldn’t help but interrupt, ”Just obstruction?”

Tan Yunxi’s beautiful eyes flashed, ”Yes, obstruction. Even with Pan Energy enhancement, don’t expect to kill a Tier One Zombie with pistol rounds. The gap between them is too vast. Taking the Earth Ghost, the weakest defensively among Tier One Zombies, for example, a normal pistol round requires unloading two magazines at the head to possibly break its skull, and even if luck hits the eyes, several shots are needed to guarantee a kill, right?”

He Jie nodded, after all, not everyone had his ability to precisely shoot within 50 meters with a heavy machine gun.

Hitting the head with a full pistol clip is already considered skillful.

”However, with a full magazine of Pan Energy explosive rounds hitting the head, I guarantee 100% kill rate, and even if hitting the torso, the explosion’s power can effectively stop a zombie’s charge.”

Upon hearing this, everyone understood the bullet’s importance.

The reason zombies induce fear, aside from their ”cannibalism”, is also their fearless nature.

If the bullet caliber isn’t enough, when hitting a zombie, it seems unaffected, continuing to howl forward, facing such situations even steadfast soldiers might falter.

Ordinary people even more easily collapse.

But Pan Energy explosive rounds can control the distance between the two, which is crucial!

Even if the power isn’t as imagined, just relying on this ”obstruction” feature, the value is not low.

He Jie’s eyes gleamed, ”What about rifle rounds? Can they directly blast a Tier One Zombie’s head?”

”Of course!”

Tan Yunxi said proudly, ”Rifle explosive rounds can cause effective obstruction even against the strongest defensive Tier One Butcher and Tier One Slaughterer, but the best killing effect is still with armor-piercing rounds. The penetration ability increased by thirty percent on the original basis.”

”Especially the enhanced armor-piercing rounds, using lots of precious materials, have enhanced effects on the corpse armor of Tier Two Zombies. From now on, relying on rifles to penetrate corpse armor is no longer a dream!”

Several officers gasped.

Even Qu Hang, who had been silent all along, couldn’t keep calm, and Yu Yue occasionally glanced at this proud young lady.

The main reason Tier Two Zombies are difficult to kill is due to their heavy corpse armor, which can only be forcibly bombarded with large-caliber sniper rifles, and the zombie’s tenacious life force manifests vividly in Tier Two Zombies.

A slight deviation is like not hitting at all!

The only gun on the train that can guarantee one hundred percent penetration is the City Breaker in Yu Yue’s hand, but there’s only one City Breaker, and there are hundreds or even thousands of Tier Two Zombies.

Away from heavy snipers, ordinary soldiers and Tier One Evolvers pose no threat to Tier Two Zombies.

So even though it looks glorious when the train fights zombies, in reality, it’s dancing on the blade’s tip.

No room for failure.

But with armor-piercing rounds, ordinary soldiers also have means to counter.

Upon hearing this, He Jie immediately turned his head, ”Train Conductor, I feel these types of bullets should be prioritized for the Armed Corps.”

Su Huan said lightly, ”There will be, but only formal soldiers have quotas; each Pan Energy bullet requires multiple people to work together, the production capacity is very low.”

Seeing everyone roughly understood, Su Huan instinctively snapped his fingers to attract attention.

But this action nearly scared He Jie to almost hit the deck.

He had personally seen the train conductor obliterating tens of thousands of zombies with one snap.

Su Huan was somewhat speechless, ”Why is your courage getting smaller?”

He Jie wiped the cold sweat on his head, ”I freakin’ thought you were going to annihilate all of us...”

Seeing everyone’s complexion was not looking good, Su Huan no longer dwelled on this issue.

”Then this matter is settled. The time is set for three months later. In the meantime, let the news spread to surrounding large and small forces. Anything else to discuss? If not, meeting adjourned.”

A few people were itching to speak but hesitated and remained silent.

Hu Shuo suddenly looked up at Shu Wei, the latter bent over to say two words in Su Huan’s ear.

Su Huan looked at the old factory manager, indeed, the old man had an expectant look.

Su Huan’s dark eyes gently turned, ”By the way, lastly, a few appointments, Professor Wang Duoyu, for his merits in the three-phase design, is promoted to Level 5 Crew in charge of train modifications, Dean Zhou Qing, for designing Power Armor, is promoted to Research Group Conductor, the original factory manager maintains the Conductor待遇, doesn’t take on specific duties, any objections?”

Everyone looked around, no one spoke.

Only Vice President Deng looked at his old boss and lightly sighed.

Su Huan’s gaze swept across the faces of a few key people, confirming there were no issues announced the meeting adjourned.

The Armed Train system is becoming more perfect; many things no longer require him to do personally one by one as before; many times, only needing to provide a major direction, the now massive train would naturally rumble toward the target he points at.

After repeated refinement, those remaining on the train are all smart people.

Although there are occasional mistakes, such as Su Reya often assigned very little work by the superior and Qu Hang assigned a lot of work, as well as Tan Yunxi and Lin Xi often slacking off under the pretext of work.

But as long as the system of the train is perfect, it can operate like a millstone, continually grinding one matter after another.
