Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Bang! The door was kicked open.

This was the second time today the door suffered such rough treatment, but Xiao Hong didn’t have time to lament for the door as he was completely drawn to the teenager who walked in.

The teenager was about the same age as him. Both sides of his scalp were bald, leaving only a fierce and bright red strip of hair down the middle. A deep blue denim jacket was stretched taut by his lean physique, making him stand extremely tall and sharp, like a lit firecracker. His upward-slanting eyes swept over Xiao Hong and finally settled on Brother Li, sneering, ”Not even a ranked street dog in the chicken game, yet you want to replace Black Star?”

A sharp and irritable voice echoed like a bursting bomb in the room, leaving everyone’s ears ringing.

The women upstairs turned pale, and a few who just came down silently retreated back up.

The comment cracked the facade of calm Xiao Hong had tried to maintain, with energy boiling and churning in his chest, urging him to release a fierce roar.

”Damn it!”

Brother Li abruptly stood up, pulled out his handgun, and aimed it at the red-haired teenager, his eyes bloodshot with a crazed glint of crushed pride, ”Say that again!”

Bang!

Without warning, amidst the stunned gazes of everyone present, Brother Li’s head exploded like an overripe watermelon.

The red-haired teenager leapt forward like firecrackers thrown during New Year’s celebrations, viciously kicking the fallen body while cursing Brother Li’s entire family violently and loudly.

The women upstairs belatedly screamed, adding a unique tone to the chaotic ambiance.

The remaining four men attempted to resist. However, the empty room suddenly exploded again, under the intense energy wave, two were blasted away and another was killed on the spot, leaving only the pointy-faced man hiding under the sofa.

Xiao Hong kept his gaze fixed on the irritable red-haired teenager. Although he didn’t possess any perceptive ability, his intuition told him the explosion just now was the red-haired teenager’s ability.

The irritable red-haired teenager kicked each of the fallen men, even the deceased one wasn’t spared, every single one and their dearest relatives were greeted meticulously. Xiao Hong discovered for the first time there were so many ways to curse people.

Just as he hesitated whether to call someone outside, the door was kicked open again.

This was the third and final time the door endured rough treatment today.

The door flew directly into the middle of the living room, and a man with a cold-hard face, covered in the scent of blood and gunpowder, walked in empty-handed, followed by several armed personnel carrying guns.

Xiao Hong’s eyes shifted slightly, he hadn’t expected it would be this guy.

One of the Black Star Five Tigers, Chen Shan, currently deputy leader of the City Defense Army, as well as the only prominent figure he knew.

Whether these outsiders could establish themselves in Zhijin Station depended entirely on his word.

Unfortunately, Chen Shan didn’t recognize him.

Xiao Hong had only seen Chen Shan from afar on the day of reporting.

Since then, Chen Shan had been busy building the Iron Wall around Weinan District with Xiaoba, naturally having no time to bother with insignificant people like Xiao Hong.

Seeing the room in a mess, Chen Shan frowned and shouted, ”Bomb!”

The red-haired teenager finally stopped, turned around, and said indignantly with arms folded.

”Brother Shan, I followed the rules this time.”

Looking at the vivid bloodstains on the teenager’s face, Chen Shan felt a faint headache, freaking hell, has there ever been a time you didn’t cause trouble?

”They made the first move.”

Xiao Hong suddenly said.

The Bomb, ready to be reprimanded, glanced at him unexpectedly, feeling a hint of goodwill towards this peer.

Chen Shan noticed a slightly deformed gun being handed over by his subordinate, trusting the Bomb’s words seventy to eighty percent.

Although the kid is irritable with a foul mouth, he has the principle of not lying, even Master Rong appreciates him.

Chen Shan inquired about the whole process from Xiao Hong.

The latter clearly narrated the events, and Chen Shan responded decisively, directly throwing out the two deceased, while hanging the three surviving ones.

There was no consolation or compensation, but hanging Brother Li’s group at the doorway was more effective than any verbal promise; for the time being, it could ward off endless troubles.

As for affecting business?

No way, this was proof the venue was under protection!

Perhaps their screams and groans might even titillate the guests, albeit perversely, given it is the apocalypse, anything is possible.

Xiao Hong glanced at the half-engraved sign on the table, suddenly seeming unnecessary.

Seeing the matter resolved, the women upstairs peeked again. Those with agile minds were already flirting with Chen Shan.

Unfortunately, the busily hurried Chen Shan totally ignored them, coldly stating, ”Starting today, the city hall will conduct ability testing for everyone in the base city, issuing identity credentials to those who complete the test. In the future, anyone without credentials will be regarded as outsiders.”

Chen Shan came in a whirlwind, and left in haste.

Leaving a group of women and two bewildered teenagers.

Women returned to washing in pairs and trios or stood on the second floor chatting with scant regard for wearing only underwear, occasionally exposing vast swathes of trembling and pure white flesh.

The small building regained vitality.

The chirping atmosphere wasn’t much different from any other day.

Except that a few pieces of furniture were shattered downstairs, adding some fresh red bloodstains on the walls.

The Bomb stretched his arms sideways, clasping his hands behind his head, pretending to be nonchalant while sneaking glances at the fair women upstairs, shuffling his feet erratically, asking half-heartedly, ”Hey, what’s your name?”
