Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The figure dragged a heavy metal box through the snow, leaving long tracks behind.

The hem of a white wool military coat sliced through the dense darkness, with the legs wrapped in leather boots sinking knee-deep into the snow, the crisp crunching sound echoed like war drums, reaching the soldier’s ears clearly and steadily.

The soldier was momentarily bewildered, thinking he was hallucinating.

Who would walk the desolate Extreme Cold Zone at such a deep night?

Even if not targeted by predators, one could freeze to death due to hypothermia in the night.

In the brief moment of distraction, the figure below had already approached, and the knee-deep snow seemed to pose no obstacle for her, even though the iron box behind had rolled into a small snowy mountain.

The figure raised her head, examining the city before her.

The white mink collar embraced a surprisingly exquisite face, with skin delicate and smooth, eyelashes frosted yet unable to suppress the fire in those steel-blue eyes. As she looked at the soldier dazed on the wall, a flash of arrogance crossed Tasia’s eyes, her voice poured out like a bullet from a chamber.

”I’m Colonel Anastasia of Gunfire, here to make a deal with you. Get your director out.”

The vast lands were united, divided into Mao Bear and White Bear.

After the apocalypse, Gunfire gathered numerous soldiers, swiftly becoming the largest force in Mao Bear, relying on the geographical advantage of the Extreme Cold Zone to occupy key cities and quickly stabilize.

In contrast, Obsidian Industries, an old military-industrial enterprise located further from the apocalypse, reacted slower. By now, it’s merely a large force within White Bear, barely operating around the Extreme Cold Zone, not even bordering forces within Donghuang.

Its only advantage lies in the military industry.

This is also why she came here.

On hearing this name, the soldier suddenly snapped awake, quickly sounded the alarm.

Profanities echoed from all watchtowers, rugged men like Mao Bear emerged from rooms, simultaneously gazing at the beautiful figure below, their eyes fixed.

”Oh, a woman!”

”I bet she’s got a bigger head than mine!”

”Shut up, you bastard, you’ll end up killed for that filthy mouth one day!”

After listening to the sentry’s report, the squad leader stood out with a grave expression, shouted downwards, ”Colonel Tasia, I’ve heard of your name, what brings you to our Obsidian Industries this late?”

Just as Tasia was about to speak, her sharp eyebrows suddenly arched, turning towards the dense darkness behind.

Low growls hid within the night, closing in from all sides, even the soldiers on the wall changed expression.

”Sir, she seems to be in big trouble, likely that pack of mutated wolves, should we help her?”

The soldier whispered.

The squad leader hesitated, firmly rejected the suggestion; with only the night-watch on duty, going out would definitely not fare against the mutated wolf pack, defense with the city walls is the only option.

The relationships between Gunfire and Obsidian Industries weren’t close enough for him to lead men into a suicidal attempt.

Standing below, Tasia showed no sign of seeking help, she kicked open the dragging box behind her, inside were two 12.7mm caliber anti-aircraft machine guns, with heavy ammunition belts already loaded.

Mutated wolves over three meters in length, covered in fluffy gray-black fur emerged from the night, their green eyes viciously fixed on the woman ahead, the low whimper had turned into menacing howls.

Over a hundred in total, with dozens at Tier One!

Enough to sweep over small camps in the Extreme Cold Zone!

Facing such an exaggerated lineup, Tasia merely breathed out a wisp of white mist.

As her visage blurred momentarily in the white mist, the gathering strength of the alpha wolf leaped forth, a single bound spanning over ten meters, in the blink of an eye it was in front of Tasia, but it didn’t capture any sense of fear from the human before it, only those eyes more chilling than the wind and snow.

Two streams of golden gunfire burst forth, striking the top-tier predator of the wilderness with terrifying impact.

Faced with the brutal caliber of 12.7mm, even the tough physique tempered in the wind and snow of mutated wolves was merely a larger meat target; the strongest alpha wolf didn’t even manage a whimper, silently falling into the snow.

Crimson blood steamed, melting the surrounding ice and snow, carrying wisping white mist, soon crystallizing into bloody ice.

The last scene it saw before death was Tasia wielding two anti-aircraft machine guns disproportionate to her frame, frenziedly slaughtering its pack.

The seemingly slender shoulders showed no tremor, under the radiant gunfire, her white coat flared like it was blown by gale winds, golden shell casings flew across the snow, scorching deep pits.

No matter the angle the wolf pack attacked from, they were slaughtered by two tightened bands of fire.

At this moment, they seemed not like fierce mutated wolves, but defenseless weak humans.

It wanted to signal the pack to retreat, but its throat had been shattered by bullets, it could only watch helplessly as the pack was annihilated by this woman.

The entire ”hunt” from eruption to the end was merely a minute and thirty plus seconds.

Under Tasia’s gun lay over a hundred formidable mutated wolves.

But her face showed no disturbance, she merely drew two ammunition belts from the iron box to reload, then turned towards the soldiers on the wall, calmly said, ”These mutated wolves count as part of the payment for purchasing arms.”
