Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 99: Chapter 96: Basic Attributes

”I don’t even have a company.”

Su Huan squinted and asked back, ”What is your reference standard?”

He Jie scratched his head, ”Ugh, if you ask such a complex question, I wouldn’t know. But I heard them mention that it’s not based on ordinary people or Evolvers, but calculated from various parameters of Evolvers in different fields.”

”It’s used to benchmark skill levels.”

Su Huan pondered, skill level refers to the prefix of a skill, such as a Level 3 ”Pan-energy Transformation”, which is a Tier Three skill.

Every three levels count as one tier.

When his skill improves to Level 6, he can prepare to advance to the Tier Two profession ”Circulating Vortex”.

He can also choose not to advance, continuously enhancing his skill level. Although he will get stronger, without combination effects, the cost-performance ratio is low.

In the last life, the Steel Council didn’t research this.

Now it seems there’s a testing method, but limited by cost or other factors, it hasn’t been widely implemented, leading to only the deep blue data bracelet being circulated in the wilderness.

The reference standard for deep blue data is ordinary people. When worn on the hand, it estimates basic body data by collecting your daily combat information.

But if you deliberately conceal something, it can’t measure accurately.

I originally thought it was just a small thing.

Unexpectedly, the technical content is quite high.

”What are the attributes of the data?”

”The parameters vary in different fields. I haven’t figured out which field you belong to.” He Jie said with a bitter smile.

”Power Supplier.”

”—Power Supplier?!”

Seeing the expression on Su Huan’s face that did not look fake, He Jie slowly calmed his mind.

’It seems the company’s research on Evolvers in different fields is still too shallow. Saying a Power Supplier has no combat power is utter nonsense!’

”Your profession is a bit special. I don’t know if this set of data can be compared. According to our company’s classification, you have the main energy attribute. The key parameters are: total energy, energy intensity, fine control, duration, and energy immunity, abbreviated as five-dimensional attributes, which generally apply to most energy-related professionals.”

”If it’s a manipulator, just change the order of attributes, but essentially they are the same.”

”But for defenders who primarily attack, the five-dimensional attributes are strength, speed, defense, endurance, and constitution; they exist for Power Suppliers too, just mostly not at a high level.”

Listening to He Jie, Su Huan immediately understood.

Though it differs slightly from the deep blue data bracelet’s division, overall it’s still these things.

Unifying energy is needless to say: it’s his body’s total pan-energy. Intensity is the limit of instantaneous energy output. For instance, an anti-material electromagnetic sniper rifle requires energy intensity, and a Power Supplier below Tier One can’t output enough energy instantaneously to use it.

Fine control can be understood as charging various types of batteries, needing easy control over the output energy size.

The closer to the critical value, the harder it is to control.

Duration is the time one can maintain a constant energy output without depleting body pan-energy.

Energy immunity is the most interesting; it’s akin to resistance.

It’s like Su Huan frequently shaving with high temperature but not scalding himself with his own heat, partly due to control and partly due to some degree of immunity to high temperatures.

But how high this immunity level is remains unknown.

Testing it must be troublesome, and the deep blue data bracelet doesn’t have this standard.

These are all basic attributes that ordinary people also have, like nerve reaction speed, muscle fiber density, cell wall toughness...

Without professional researchers and equipment, accurate data can’t be obtained.

They can only be judged through certain appearances.

For example, higher jumps, faster runs.

An Evolver’s skill works under the same principle. An Evolver might not know their exact attributes, but they can still directly observe using their skills.

It’s like the Evolvers in the wilderness from the last life, many of whom probably didn’t know the existence of basic attributes.

Yet they lived, ate, fought...

It didn’t affect them at all.

Like when Su Huan once toyed enough with a bracelet and showed off to the half-mad Huang Sea.

He said, ”Only you noble lords care about deepness, essence, and other trivial things to consume the energy you accumulated from overeating.”

The universally acknowledged standards are tier levels, one, two, three, four, five, clear and straightforward.

Seeing Tier One makes me smile broadly, encounter Tier Two and I lick their boots, spot Tier Three and I dodge far away, encounter Tier Four... hell, how could I ever see Tier Four in my life?

If lucky enough to see a Tier Five strong person, you can even say goodbye to this world before they start fighting.

This is the survival way of the wilderness survivors.

Survival of the fittest, straightforward and direct.

”Do you have any device on you to test this data?” Su Huan asked again.

He Jie shrugged, ”How could that be? When I tested this data, it took several days, with all sorts of miscellaneous instruments attached. It’s not like testing blood sugar where you just press your fingertip and it comes out.”

Su Huan nodded, aligning with what he thought.

If genuinely wanting to popularize, that would take four to five years.

He had a hypothesis that maybe the secret to why ordinary people can’t advance to higher-level professions lies in this data.

The two chatted for a long time. When Su Huan came back to his senses, it was already dawn.

The time had reached around six in the morning.

The acid rain outside showed no sign of stopping; the muddy water streamed down the glass window, resembling an entry into a water world.

Stifling.

Just as Su Huan was about to go out, He Jie suddenly said, ”The company won’t come looking for you for now, but when the rain stops, they might show up above your head in an instant.”

Su Huan chuckled, ”You mean a helicopter? Did you forget the Iron Rain that nearly blasted your head?”

He Jie’s face froze, muttered a curse, and lay back on the bed.

Though it hadn’t been spelled out, the two reached a certain tacit understanding.

He Jie exchanged sincerity for part of Su Huan’s trust.

After circling around, everyone seemed a bit wretched, but the acid rain leaking in the carriage was effectively controlled, and the broken windows were temporarily sealed with steel plates by Xiaoba.

In general, Su Huan didn’t do much.

But that’s how a faction should be.

If small matters still need the train conductor to handle personally, then what are they for?

Before long, Yu Jing came over, wearing rubber gloves, with a large piece of something under her arm, earnestly saying, ”We should quickly complete the first phase of the weaponized train plan and conduct a full inspection of the train.”

Su Huan looked at the corroded, rusted ground and raised his eyebrows, ”Exactly my thought.”
