When She Stops Being Dramatic

Chapter 445: Chapter 158: The Green Tea Female Supporting Character in a Period Novel (45)

”You’re the ones who are truly affected. As for me, I have a job, money, and a family that adores me. What more could I ask for?”

”If I were really greedy for this bit of money and power, I definitely wouldn’t do it this way.”

”If a building collapses, do we have to check if there are bad people inside before we rescue anyone?”

”We can’t just abandon all hope for everyone because of a few bad apples, can we?”

”I believe most of you are grateful, upright, and kind. You are the ones I want to help. Only those with wicked hearts would fail to understand this principle.”

”He already took advantage of the situation once but doesn’t know when to quit. He just had to seek attention, forcing me to remove him.”

”Besides, I’ve already spoken with the director. Once the shop is up and running and business has stabilized, I’ll be transferring from the main hospital to my husband’s unit—the wife follows the husband, after all.”

Chi Yun’er’s lips curled into a smile. ”Now, I’ll take this opportunity to share some knowledge with you all, to broaden your business perspective, and while I’m at it, I’ll show everyone just how shortsighted, selfish, and utterly foolish that person is.”

Everyone nodded, repeating through gritted teeth, ”Truly shortsighted...”

He just couldn’t wait to make his move on the very first day. Did he really think that after half a month of training, he’d mastered some secret to success? Had he never heard of ’armchair strategizing’? Did he not know that true knowledge comes from practice?

”Selfish...”

That letter was just meant to paint everyone else as stupid and materialistic, making himself out to be noble and smart. But did he even stop to consider his own motives? Wasn’t he just trying to use his writing skills to land himself a minor leadership position?

”Utterly foolish...”

He really thought of himself as someone important. How pathetic.

Chi Yun’er chuckled and said, ”When we open our shop, we’ll be serving customers day in and day out. This is a long-term business. The quality of our products and our service are what give this business its shelf life.”

”The Capital City is huge. We’re not the only ones selling things. What gives us the confidence that we can win over and keep our customers?”

”We need to constantly ensure our product quality, and our service quality must also be continuously upgraded.”

”Low profits on high volume is the basis for our promotions, gifts with purchase, discounts, and so on. A small trinket, a handkerchief, a hair flower, a hairpin—how much do these cost?”

”But they can give our customers a perfect and pleasant shopping experience.”

”The cost of these freebies is factored into the price of the clothes. They also contribute to our overall profit.”

”Just because the gifts are ’free’ to the customer doesn’t mean we shouldn’t put care into them. If that’s our attitude, we’d be better off not giving away anything at all. It would be counterproductive and only leave customers unhappy.”

”Besides, the Educated Youth are a special group, but what about the housewives who quietly contribute to their families at home? Don’t they deserve our attention?”

”I wonder if you’ve all heard this saying: a person’s status and voice within the family are related to their control over the finances, which is equivalent to their economic standing.”

”Housewives contribute to their families every day, yet their efforts are taken for granted. They even become punching bags. Everything good is prioritized for the elderly, their husbands, and their children. They themselves come last. On top of that, to supplement the family income, they work day and night pasting medicine bags or assembling matchboxes.”

”Since we need to be thoughtful with our freebies, instead of buying them from outside, why not produce them ourselves? We could essentially hire housewives as temporary workers, paying them by the piece.”

Hearing this, everyone—with the exception of a few who were determined to be contrarian—was stunned, including the director and the others.

They hadn’t thought that far ahead. They just felt that while Chi Yun’er’s ideas would certainly make money, she was also being particularly extravagant and fastidious with her spending.

This was something they didn’t quite understand.
