When She Stops Being Dramatic

Chapter 416: Chapter 150: The Green Tea Female Supporting Character in a Period Novel (37)

Chi Yun’er also listed out numerous detailed, effective, and highly targeted measures.

The Dean took one look, and without a second thought, he agreed!

Money and motivation are linked. Every family has financial burdens, so who would turn their nose up at more money?

When it came to competing over money, the General Hospital could now throw its hat in the ring...

Third was equipment and technology. These things know no borders. Only those who can keep up with technological development can win the respect of others.

As long as the funding was in place, what equipment and technology couldn’t be upgraded?

The General Hospital’s reputation and technology were currently up to par, but for its long-term development, changes were necessary.

Fourth was service, another extremely critical aspect!

A hospital serves the people, so the attitude, quality, and comprehensiveness of its service would become either a driving force or a hindrance to its future development.

Simply offering more smiles, more patience, and more convenient amenities—things that didn’t cost much money, only thoughtfulness—could make patients and their families feel a sense of warmth when they came to the hospital.

Patient volume was the most reliable benchmark for a hospital’s development, the key to securing an invincible position.

As the saying goes: When others have nothing, I have something. When others have something, mine is better. When others are excellent, I must specialize and innovate, then master it. Only then can one avoid being swept away by the tides of change in an era of constant renewal.

The Dean nodded repeatedly. He agreed, agreed with it all. In fact, he planned to discuss it with a few subordinates, draft a detailed application, and submit it to the higher-ups for approval.

Innovation was the only path forward. Once the application was approved, he would convene a hospital-wide meeting for all department heads and senior staff...

Next was the matter of opening restaurants.

With the major issue weighing on his mind resolved, the Dean felt a great sense of relief. A smile of anticipation touched his face as he waited to see what new scheme these kids would come up with next.

”A street of restaurants?” The Dean was stunned after reading just the beginning.

But he continued reading. The hospital was huge, completely enclosed by walls. This meant it was sitting on prime resources without using them—it was like turning away a hundred million a day!

Although it was called a ”restaurant street,” Chi Yun’er’s idea was to first prioritize developing the north and east sides to capture the business from the huge employee family housing compound.

The residential area for families was vast, yet this huge consumer base was served by only two small supply co-ops. People often had to ride their bikes or take a bus to the city’s department stores or larger co-ops to do their shopping.

In other words, the customer traffic was guaranteed, and the location was excellent, making it ideal for business.

The eastern wall, which connected the main gate and the north gate, had a wide reach and was perfect for opening all sorts of restaurants.

The restaurants would be owned by the hospital, but each could employ two to four chefs and servers. A full street could easily support over twenty restaurants, which would create jobs for nearly a hundred family members of hospital staff...

The Dean was taken aback by the scale of Chi Yun’er’s plan. ”Aren’t you being a little too aggressive?”

Just because one retail outlet had considerable profits in its first month didn’t mean every month would be the same, and it certainly didn’t mean the model could be replicated on a mass scale.

Chi Yun’er chuckled. ”But Dean, whether it succeeds or not, we don’t stand to lose much. It’s just a matter of building a row of structures.”

”We’ll be clear when we hire: if business is good, everyone eats. If business is bad, we’ll close the shops and convert them into staff dormitories or a guest house.”

”Once the street along the eastern wall is successfully operating, we can gradually develop the other three sides as well.”

The inpatient department was located in the center of the campus, and all hospital buildings were a considerable distance from the outer walls, so they wouldn’t be disturbed by the noise.

The Dean thought it over and realized she was right. ”Alright!”

Since it was going to be a street of restaurants, each one naturally needed its own unique character. They would need to scout for talented head chefs, but the server positions could be filled by the family members of hospital employees.

The proposal was incredibly detailed. After reading it, the Dean didn’t let the three of them leave; instead, he immediately called a short meeting.

When they heard it was just a matter of constructing buildings with no other losses, and then thought about the profits from the retail outlet, everyone agreed without hesitation.

Once the proposal was approved, the rest was no longer Chi Yun’er’s concern.

She could make money for the hospital, but whether the hospital could maintain its leading position amidst the tides of change—that was up to the Dean and his team.

This was all she could do.

Without Chi Yun’er even having to ask, Zhao Jinming took the documents and started running around—to the Land Bureau for the official stamp, procuring building materials, and finding workers...

Xu Chengfang, meanwhile, took on the task of finding chefs.
