Chapter 3098: Chapter 3099: Rabbit Mansion

Perhaps, it can be designed as a modern skyscraper?

It doesn’t occupy much land, but the residential space is relatively dense.

Moreover, when Angel previously led the Kulakuka Clan to search for a new residence, he had built high-rise buildings within the bracelet, having gained relevant construction experience.

Angel shared his thoughts with Laplace and used an illusion technique to simulate the life building of the Kulakuka Clan at that time.

Laplace had no objections after seeing it. Building such a skyscraper is evidently much easier than constructing a town.

However, Glaipnir commented: ”This kind of building is indeed a good choice. However, I think Little Laplace probably won’t like seeing such a structure appear on Rabbit Mountain.”

Angel was taken aback for a moment; did she mean that the Rabbit Girl doesn’t like this kind of building?

Glaipnir obviously noticed Angel’s confusion and explained: ”This building style is relatively popular in the Shell World. Little Laplace has previously commented that it’s too cold and too dense; she doesn’t like it.”

The Rabbit Girl’s evaluation is also normal. Angel had seen on a holographic tablet that the most direct description of such urban architecture is: a cold forest of steel.

The Rabbit Girl’s evaluation coincided with the description on the holographic tablet.

More than her evaluation, Angel was actually more interested in the Shell World mentioned by Glaipnir.

It was the first time Angel had heard of the Shell World.

According to Glaipnir, the building types in the Shell World are very similar to the types simulated by his illusion technique? Could it be that the Shell World is also a modern world climbing the technology tree?

”Does the Shell World also have such buildings?”

Glaipnir: ”Not entirely these buildings, but they’re relatively dense in this type... Are you very interested in the Shell World?”

Angel did not deny it, nodded, and said: ”This type of architecture was created by my Enlightenment Mentor. I thought Mentor was original, but I didn’t expect there to be a place in a distant world that resonates with Mentor’s mind.”

After a pause, Angel curiously said: ”Can you tell me more about the Shell World?”

”The scenes of the Shell World are rarely projected into the Sea of Void Mirror in the Daylight Mirror Domain; Little Laplace and I have only seen it once and don’t know much.” Glaipnir said this and looked at Laplace on the side. She didn’t know, but that didn’t mean Laplace didn’t know. As a Temporal Body split off from the main body, Laplace’s memory is synchronized with the main body.

The main body has been guarding near the Sea Eye of the Sea of Void Mirror for so many years and surely has seen more fragments of memory than them.

However, Laplace seemed a bit distracted and didn’t notice Glaipnir’s gaze until Glaipnir walked to her side to bring her back to reality.

”What’s up?”

”Angel is curious about the Shell World.” Seeing Laplace’s slight distraction, Glaipnir had to quietly repeat the previous conversation.

Laplace showed a slight apology to Angel: ”I was thinking about something just now and got a bit distracted, sorry... The Shell World, huh? Let me think.”

After about half a minute, Laplace spoke: ”The Shell World is a world very far away from the Southern Domain, even farther than the Panic Realm.”

Laplace slowly began to describe what she knew.

According to Laplace, because the Shell World is too far away, its corresponding Mirror Domain is not the Daylight Mirror Domain, so here it is impossible to directly receive scenes from the Shell World. Occasionally, some memory fragments get washed out from the Sea Eye of the Sea of Void Mirror.

The first time she received a scene from the Shell World was three thousand years ago. At that time, all civilized nations in the Shell World were under divine rule, and the entire world worshiped a certain deity.

However, according to her inference, this deity should just be a fictional god of faith.

In other words, it only had a name, without an entity or divine power.

At that time, she also did not see any transcendent signs from the Shell World, which was a world where transcendence was hidden.

She later saw some more images from the Shell World, but there were not many changes.

Until one thousand five hundred years ago, new changes appeared in the images she saw from the Shell World, a powerful nation emerged with a development route completely different from the past.

This nation was named the Heart Kingdom, and they followed the path of machinery, pursuing a civilization of steel.

It was during this time that Glaipnir and the Rabbit Girl saw the images of the Heart Kingdom and noted the cold architectural style of the steel civilization.

The most recent time she received scenes from the Shell World was thirteen years ago. Now, the civilized nations of the Shell World have formed two major factions, one favoring the Heart Kingdom, pursuing steel and machinery; the other favoring the Kingdom of Saint Ysha, continuing to worship supreme divine authority.

At this time, the degree of mechanization in the Heart Kingdom was already very high, even fully transformed mechanical people had appeared.

The Kingdom of Saint Ysha still leaned toward the traditional theocratic government plan, filled with churches everywhere, and was absolutely hostile to the Heart Kingdom, almost constantly at war.

Angel asked, ”In a clash between divine authority civilization and steel civilization, shouldn’t the latter have no chance?”

Laplace: ”On the surface, the Heart Kingdom, which has mastered advanced tools, indeed has a big advantage. But the real situation is that neither side has gained any benefits, and the war has been ongoing for years.”

Angel: ”In such a case... it’s usually a proxy war.”

Perhaps, behind both sides stood otherworldly transcendent civilizations. Only a balance behind the scenes could lead to such a situation where the civilization of divine authority would not be entirely crushed by the steel tide.

Laplace: ”I don’t know whether it is what you call... a proxy war. But at least in the images I saw, I still haven’t found any traces of the transcendent.”

”However, what I saw is ultimately only surface level. Perhaps, as you said, the Shell World has deeper waters.”

Angel did not comment further on this.

He inquired about the architecture of the Shell World just to know whether it is related to Earth.

But from the current understanding, it seems to have no relation, it’s merely an inevitability in the development of a steel civilization. Machinery drives national development, development drives population growth, and people gather in cities for personal development whereas cities also need to accommodate more people for economic development, and so the steel forest is born.

This situation is actually not only present in the Heart Kingdom; according to Angel’s knowledge, there are similar situations in the Majestic Plane.

The Majestic Plane also has the development of mechanical civilization, but since there are Wizards stationed there and aliens with superpowers, the development here is more diverse and does not focus solely on one big city. Hence, the steel forest exists in the Majestic Plane, but overall it is less common.

Since it was confirmed that the Shell World has no connection to Earth, Angel’s interest in the Shell World immediately waned.

”Little Laplace doesn’t like this style of architecture, so maybe the outer shell can be modified.” Angel redirected the topic back to architecture.

While speaking, Angel used an illusion technique to simulate a new construction.

The overall structure still corresponds to skyscrapers, but the shells are replaced with adorable shapes of rabbits and carrots.

Even though these gigantic rabbits and carrots, each several dozen meters tall, seem a bit strange even to Angel, since we’re building on Rabbit Mountain, we still have to adhere to the owner’s preferences.

The Rabbit Girl loves all types of rabbits, so we’ll change the buildings into rabbit shells.

As for the issues of aesthetics and the preferences of the new residents of the Crystal Origin of Dreams, they don’t matter much... having a place to stay is good enough.

After all, these residences are only temporary. Angel plans to research Fairyland to see if it’s possible to have the new residents move into a Fairyland duplication, which would be convenient and separate them from the Wilderness of Dreams, forming a unique cultural feature of the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

Glaipnir, looking at the towering rabbit mansions, finally nodded: ”Little Laplace should like this style.”

As for Laplace, she didn’t care much. As long as there’s a place to stay, that’s enough.

After confirming the architectural design, Angel started to discuss the internal structure with Laplace.

In this construction, Angel only played a supporting role; Laplace was the real builder. Though Magic Power could be used, in the Mirror Domain, using Aggregation Energy is certainly more economical.

Laplace did not disappoint Angel. With just a wave of her hand, she almost instantly built a rabbit mansion on Rabbit Mountain that looked exactly like the one in the illusion.

However, it was still solid inside at this point.

Laplace then examined the internal structure, including the foundation, load-bearing, layout, piping, and basic configurations of each room. Then, following Angel’s detailed plans, she quickly constructed twenty floors inside the rabbit mansion, with four to six rooms on each floor.

Before long, the rabbit mansion, standing sixty meters tall, towered over the plains of Rabbit Mountain.

A snow-white rabbit sat dazed on the ground, one hand raised, resembling a fortune rabbit.

It’s worth mentioning that Laplace modified the exterior windows of the mansion, adding a color-changing film to the mirror, making the rabbit mansion appear seamless from the outside. This way, the windows wouldn’t make it look awkward.

The entrance and exit are at the rabbit’s tail, so as not to affect the frontal view.

When the Rabbit Girl logs off and sees this rabbit mansion, her first thought might be that it’s a statue; it’s hard to imagine it’s a well-ventilated mansion without going inside.

This, in a way, achieves the Rabbit Girl’s goal.

After all, for the Rabbit Girl, cold steel skyscrapers are best not to appear on Rabbit Mountain, but adorable rabbit statues can indeed be here.

With the first rabbit mansion complete, the second and third were naturally built as well.

Aside from having different shapes, everything else was pretty much the same.

In the end, Laplace built eight rabbit mansions, comfortably accommodating more than five thousand people, and if squeezed a bit, even more.

Angel helped perfect some of the room details, and then the project was complete.

Next, Glaipnir went online first to contact the new residents, informing them about the upcoming events.

Soon, under the astonished gazes of the new residents, each rabbit mansion was transported by Angel using the Dream Conch to the underground space of the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

The task of distributing housing was entrusted by Glaipnir to a few former pragmatic officials among the new residents.

Having respect and leadership among the new residents, they were able to organize them quickly.

After completing the distribution, the task concluded for the time being.

Right now, it only met their needs for temporary residence. For a better life, they had to dig pits, take over, and make tools; still, those were their own matters now.

Glaipnir stayed in the Crystal Origin of Dreams, in Rabbit Town.

Rabbit Town— that’s the name the new residents gave to this temporary settlement.

Glaipnir stayed in Rabbit Town mainly to discuss the recruitment for the Circus. After all, the Circus recruits people at fixed times and never stops.

In the future, some Rabbit Town residents will surely be recruited into the Circus.

Glaipnir mainly wanted to prepare them, telling them that even if they escape the sea of misery of reality, it doesn’t mean they came to paradise. They will still encounter all kinds of strange things, especially in this world that is still being perfected and evolved.

Informing them about the Circus in advance was to help them prepare and enrich their artistic cells, so who knows, they might even pass the Circus trials.

To this end, Angel specially visited Rabbit Town once and used the Illusion Technique to simulate a small library filled with books related to art.

This was also to give them something to do, so their minds wouldn’t be empty and spirits depressed.

Glaipnir continued to engage with the new residents, while Angel went offline.

...

Daylight Mirror Domain, Rabbit Mountain.

”I plan to reboot.” The first thing Angel heard after logging off was this sentence.

It was Laplace speaking, and her expression appeared very serious.

”Reboot?” Angel was a bit unclear on what Laplace meant by reboot. From Laplace’s expression, reboot seemed full of unknown risks and dangers?

Laplace: ”I mean to reforge this body.”

”Reforge the body...” Angel froze for a moment, seemingly thinking of something: ”Is it because of the Abyssal Hollow?”

Laplace nodded: ”I previously discussed with Glaipnir about ’The Withering of Wuan,’ and also mentioned that there’s a deviation in my memory.”

”She analyzed many things for me, and the final analysis result was: the change in my memory is likely influenced by Wuan.”

”Perhaps Wuan did set a backup measure, and this backup might target everyone entering the Abyssal Hollow. The deviation in my memory is certainly abnormal; perhaps this is its backup measure.”

”As you mentioned before, Wuan might want to subtly change my thoughts through mental signals.”

”Although Glaipnir’s analysis concluded that I currently have no abnormalities, for safety’s sake, I still plan to reforge this body.”

”I used this body to enter the Abyssal Hollow initially, so if Wuan has left any backup measures, they must be in this body.”

”I want to see if I can find anything and at the same time, reforge the body to rid of possible influences.”
