Chapter 3054: Chapter 3055: Necklace

At this moment, Witch Sharon was still shrouded in mist, unaware of the situation outside. But, according to time calculations, Aex and Stop should have arrived already.

They have arrived but have not appeared immediately, there’s only one possibility: they too are trapped in the illusion.

”That wizard named Jon, his illusion capabilities are indeed strong.” Being able to drag both Aex and Stop into an illusion suggests his illusionary skill at least reached the level of a Senior Illusionist.

However, Witch Sharon wasn’t too worried about this.

As long as Aex was around, even a Wild God’s illusionary realm could be cracked... However, it might be a bit troublesome later, but future matters are for the future to handle. Currently, the most important thing is to solve the present predicament.

Besides, the aftermath of cracking the Wild God’s illusionary realm was something they managed to safely overcome. A Wizard Level illusion, even with potential side effects, would likely not be stronger than the Wild God’s illusionary realm.

Witch Sharon was confident, with her understanding of Aex, he would be able to handle the illusion in no more than half a minute.

Then, when facing Angel and Dox, the choice will return to them, whether to counterattack or leave first, there will be more room to decide.

With such a vision in mind, Witch Sharon silently awaited the arrival of her companions.

Just then, a gust of howling wind suddenly reached her ears.

Before Witch Sharon could identify the source of the wind, she saw a bright red blood light engulfing a sharp sword heading straight toward her chest.

Familiar blood light, familiar red sword, without a doubt, this attack was from Dox.

Witch Sharon clearly knew Dox’s Bloodline Art was extremely powerful; if she forcefully resisted, she would certainly be injured. Moreover, she was in the open while Dox was hidden, making her passive; getting injured would be very disadvantageous to her.

Almost without thinking, Witch Sharon instinctively made a dodging move.

The ambush came too quickly, and the angle was extremely tricky; the only direction she could dodge was to the left.

In the blink of an eye, the defense spell on Witch Sharon was crushed by the sharp sword tip, but it also caused the sword tip to pause for a moment.

Due to this pause, Witch Sharon successfully turned sideways, avoiding the sword from penetrating her body. However, she dodged the physical injury, but the cloak she was wearing was pierced by the long sword.

Following Dox’s upward slash, the cloak was directly torn into two halves.

Seeing this, Witch Sharon realized her cloak could no longer be saved. But if it can’t be saved, so be it; it’s better than getting injured. Besides, the cloak was already torn before, making it hard to use further; now it merely accelerated its discarded process.

Witch Sharon didn’t pay attention to the torn cloak but instead, after dodging, she immediately activated her Energy Vision, preparing to face the thickening mist vigilantly.

While Witch Sharon was guarding against Dox, she did not notice that the torn part of the cloak on the ground was slowly being shrouded by the white mist, eventually disappearing.

...

”No Spirit Avatar found inside the cloak’s inner pocket.”

”Continue the battle.”

When Dox used the red sword to pick up the scraps, the green pattern information in front of him got updated. However, the result was somewhat speechless to him; initially seeing Angel mark the pocket’s location, he thought the substitute object had been found, but it turned out to be just an uncertain guess.

”So what should be done now? How should the battle continue?” Dox quickly asked, simultaneously turning his gaze towards Aex’s direction.

Dox initially wanted to check the progress on absorbing the illusion only to find Aex and Stop staring fixedly at him through the thin mist.

The prepared energy lock was already targeting him.

Although they hadn’t completely freed themselves, he estimated the next second they would be free!

Just as Dox was thinking this, ”the next second” came, and the thin mist surrounding the Space Gate dissipated completely! At the moment the mist vanished, Aex stepped forward, drew a long, dull sword with iridescent brilliance, and with a switch of hands, he slashed towards Dox across the air.

Clearly, there were still a hundred-meter distance, and Aex hadn’t approached, just an air slash, but Dox felt this attack seemingly ignored the distance, appearing directly in front of him.

”You handle these two first; I’ll take care of Witch Sharon.”

At this moment, a line of words appeared before Dox.

”You’re sending me to my death!” Dox instinctively cursed aloud; how could he alone withstand these two? Furthermore, they could still summon the Shallow Sea Strongman!

Despite his complaints, Dox took another step forward and activated the Blood Shield, preparing to block Aex’s air slash first.

After all, this slash seemingly targeted him, but its vast range also affected Angel’s position.

”I’m not sending you to your death; you only need to hold off for a moment. I’ve roughly locked onto the substitute object’s location.”

Seeing the newly emerged text line, Dox finally let out a sigh of relief.

If he were to intercept two Great Wizards alone, plus a Shallow Sea Strongman, it would be almost impossible to succeed. But if it’s just a momentary interception to let Angel gain the substitute object, that’s simple.

Dox regained his confidence and decided to resist Aex’s attack while on the other side, Angel had already broken through the Mist Illusion, reaching Witch Sharon’s side.

However, compared to Dox’s blood aura-filled entrance, Angel was much more low-key, unnoticed by Witch Sharon.

Moreover, Angel enhanced the illusion’s confusing five senses effect.

Although the illusion might be ”banished” by Aex later, at least it was still useful for now.

Sure enough, after the five senses confusion, Witch Sharon didn’t notice anything unusual about the shadow behind her.

However, the ignored time wasn’t long.

Three seconds later, an iridescent silk thread broke through the illusion, directly connecting to the front of Witch Sharon.

Seeing this iridescent silk thread, a hint of joy flashed in Witch Sharon’s eyes: ”Aex?”

Just as Witch Sharon was about to say something, she heard a familiar voice coming from outside: ”Watch your back!”

Though unsure of what happened behind her, since Aex was warning her, there surely must be trouble... perhaps Dox was behind her.

As she thought this, familiar red light reflected on her shoulder.

Without hesitation, Witch Sharon rolled forward, evading the ”attack from behind.” However, when she turned around to lock onto Dox’s position, she found nothing but a dense white mist behind her.

The prior red light resting on her shoulder felt like a dream.

...Illusion Dream?

Witch Sharon suddenly considered a possibility: could it really be an illusion? After all, the other wizard named Jon was extremely adept with illusions; could he have initiated an attack?

But, Aex and Stop had arrived, Dox was dealing with her, shouldn’t Jon be the one handling Aex and Stop?

Something wasn’t right.

Witch Sharon couldn’t explain what was off, but it felt peculiar. Moreover, could she dodge Dox’s attack just by rolling forward?

Additionally, if the previous blood light was an illusion, then...

Witch Sharon looked at the iridescent silk thread, suspicion surfacing in her eyes.

Is this really a thread made by Aex?

As Witch Sharon questioned herself, a voice suddenly came from beside her ear, ”Are you okay?”

Instinctively, Witch Sharon turned her head and saw Aex and Stop appearing in the mist.

Aex looked at her with a worried and sincere expression, while Stop, standing over ten meters away, wore a familiar disdainful look.

Faced with the concern of her companions, Witch Sharon furrowed her brows and even took a step back.

”Are you real or not?”

Aex showed a look of confusion, not understanding why Witch Sharon would ask this, but still answered seriously, ”Of course I’m real, are you... alright?”

Stop crossed his arms, standing outside the mist, and mocked lightly, ”What a waste, being played with so easily, you can’t even recognize people.”

Witch Sharon didn’t mind Stop’s mockery; his personality was like this. Her gaze just stayed on Aex, because only Aex could prove what was real or fake.

Aex hesitated for a moment, then reached out a finger to lightly tap the void.

A large amount of iridescent silk threads fell from above like rain, embedding straight into the surrounding mist. As the iridescent silk threads appeared, the mist was absorbed at an incredibly fast pace.

Witch Sharon also lifted her head, looking upwards.

She saw the familiar light wheel, along with that colorful rainbow pattern.

Seeing this, Witch Sharon was already certain that the Aex before her was real, because this was Aex’s unique ability.

Although she had confirmed that the Aex in front of her was real, Witch Sharon still felt something was off... She instinctively glanced at the first silk thread, the one that had entered the mist before she heard the voice, ”Beware behind you.”

This glance left Witch Sharon a bit dazed.

The initial iridescent silk thread... was gone.

Looking at the empty ground, she suddenly recalled something. The iridescent silk thread pierced through the mist from outside and landed on the ground near her horizontally.

But now, the iridescent silk threads created by Aex were falling from the light wheel above in a vertical descent, not horizontal insertion.

Thinking of this, Witch Sharon turned abruptly and looked at Aex, ”Was it you just now, telling me... beware behind you?”

Aex was taken aback and shook his head, ”No, what about behind you?”

By this time, how could Witch Sharon not understand that she had been tricked. The silk thread just now was not released by Aex, and the warning wasn’t from Aex either.

If not Aex, then it could only be Jon!

He used an Illusion Technique to confuse her.

But what was his intention in doing so? Witch Sharon didn’t sense any issues with herself; did this mean Jon didn’t intend to attack her?

Or was Jon just about to attack her when Aex and Stop arrived?

”That Illusionist you saw earlier, did you see him? Did he come to me just now?” Witch Sharon couldn’t figure it out, so she simply asked Aex.

Aex: ”Do you mean that shadow sorcerer? He did come here just now, but it seems like he didn’t attack you, just stayed hidden in the shadow on the ground.”

”When we came over, he retreated.”

The term ”shadow sorcerer” caught Witch Sharon’s attention. There wasn’t supposed to be a shadow sorcerer here, wasn’t one a Prophecy and Bloodline Double Practitioner, the other a Space and Illusion Double Practitioner? How did a shadow sorcerer suddenly appear? Could he have been hiding in the shadows of those two?

But soon, she cast aside these seemingly ’unimportant’ details because she caught a new piece of information from Aex’s words.

Hidden in the shadow on the ground?

Not behind her?

A sudden image flashed across Witch Sharon’s mind: dodging the red light behind her, she rolled several meters away.

Rolling... the ground...

Could it be that Jon was forcing her to roll? Because he was hiding in the shadow on the ground?

But she had rolled away and hadn’t been harmed?

No, Jon must have had a purpose in approaching her. If not to harm her, then perhaps for something else?

Witch Sharon lowered her head and began to examine her body.

She suspected Jon might have left a mark on her, possibly some kind of curse technique... similar to the Blood Curse she had placed on Dox.

Witch Sharon’s body search left Aex beside her perplexed.

”What’s wrong? Did you lose something?” Aex asked.

Without a word, Witch Sharon continued to check her body.

At this point, Stop, who had been standing to the side with arms crossed, remarked casually, ”Probably lost her necklace... look, that wizard over there took it.”

Stop’s gaze pointed to not far away.

By now, most of the mist had cleared, and he could clearly see Angel and Dox on the other side of the arena.

The shadow sorcerer among them was holding a necklace, one Stop recognized well, having seen it on Witch Sharon.

Necklace? Witch Sharon didn’t immediately understand Stop’s meaning. Her necklace wasn’t an Alchemy Tool, nor valuable; it was just made of common metal from the Wild Realm. Before entering the Southern Domain, she had Pagnini refine it into a chain to string her avatar object.

To call it a necklace was an overstatement.

Even in the mortal world, it held no value, so who would steal it?

Besides, her avatar object could only be used by herself, others wouldn’t find it useful.

Though Witch Sharon thought this, she still reached out to touch her neck. Upon feeling nothing, she was truly unable to find it.

Looking down, Witch Sharon realized her necklace... was indeed gone.

Jon’s goal was her necklace? Was he crazy? Not taking other valuable items but a necklace? Was he perhaps planning to use pheromones for a curse?

Bewildered, Witch Sharon raised her head and followed Stop’s gaze to the other side of the arena.

Jon and Dox stood at one side of the arena, gazing back at them from a distance.

And in Jon’s hand, he was caressing a necklace that looked all too familiar to her.
