Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 3087: Chapter 3088: The First Comment

After completing the first issue of the ”Wilderness Traveler News,” Angel directly published it in the Transcendent section of the Mother Tree Forum.

After uploading, Angel waited a while, eager to see who would be the first to respond.

However, he underestimated the quietness of the Transcendent section. Ten minutes passed, and despite ”Wilderness Traveler News” being pinned by others, there were still no responses.

It wasn’t until half an hour later that Angel saw the first comment.

”Who pinned this without approval?”

Angel clicked to see that the name of the responder wasn’t visible, but the avatar was a green dress.

Must be a witch?

Angel vaguely recognized the style of the dress.

He was still pondering who this ”netizen” could be when the comment was deleted—it wasn’t Angel who did it, but the other party.

On the Mother Tree Forum, only the poster and the development team have the authority to delete posts.

Considering the members of the development team, Angel realized that the person who questioned the pinning must be Babaya.

The Kulakuka Tribe girl.

She replied quickly and deleted just as fast, having realized who the poster was.

Angel exited the forum and lurked in the development team’s tree group...

Sure enough, he saw Babaya lamenting in the group: ”I think I may have done something disrespectful... Lord Pat shouldn’t be online, right?”

A group of people below asked Babaya, ”What’s wrong?”

Even Jon curiously asked Babaya what she had done.

Babaya hadn’t answered yet when a group member with a large rose avatar said, ”I was just chatting with Angel, what’s up?”

Undoubtedly, the one with the rose avatar was Lianna. As a builder of New City, although she didn’t have the time to develop the functionality of the Mother Tree network, she was also pulled into the development group.

Babaya hesitated for a moment and said, ”Lady Lianna, I didn’t know Lord Pat posted in the forum, so I replied with something unimportant.”

Lianna: ”Angel posted in the forum? I’ll go take a look.”

Lianna didn’t ask Babaya what she replied with, just curious about what Angel posted, and went to the forum on her own.

Everyone else followed Lianna’s choice and went to the forum to watch.

Only Jon silently comforted Babaya and then privately messaged Angel: ”Did Babaya offend you?”

Angel: ”No, she’s just too sensitive.”

Angel then recounted what Babaya had replied and clearly stated that he didn’t feel offended.

After Jon heard this, he seemed to do some research and replied a few minutes later: ”To keep the forum clean, the posting system requires approval. All posters need to be reviewed by the approval team. Babaya is a member of the approval team.”

”Recently, the approval team has received posts similar to columns, journals, and newspapers, which may involve public opinion. Without strict measures, they need to be controlled.”

”She suddenly saw a newspaper and thought someone was being indulgent, so she replied that way, but there was no malice.”

Jon explained the situation simply.

Angel didn’t actually care. However, upon learning that someone was indeed trying to control public opinion on the forum by creating ”columns and journals,” Angel couldn’t help but muse.

He thought no one would pay attention to the importance of public opinion in the early stages, but he was wrong.

Wizards aren’t stupid; once they understand the platform’s importance, they naturally imagine how to maximize its value. Undoubtedly, controlling public opinion and becoming authoritative is one of the manifestations of such platform value.

Many people share similar thoughts with Angel now.

Regarding pioneering thinking, Angel was actually lagging behind.

However, as the true Controller of the platform, Angel could bypass permissions to post, thus he could seize the high ground and become the first to venture into this space.

”I read the post you made; are you trying to bridge the gap between humans and Dream Plant Fairies?” Jon asked.

Angel: ”Sort of. However, the biggest issue between humans and Dream Plant Fairies is rooted in civilization. Bridging the gap is quite difficult; my aim is more about getting both to initiate contact and, ideally, to understand each other.”

”Contact? Aren’t Dream Plant Fairies everywhere... Wait, you mean the first generation Dream Plant Fairies and humans?” Jon realized something.

Angel: ”Yes, soon New City will welcome the first generation Dream Plant Fairy. If Mentor Jon has time, you might want to come and see, it’s a little fellow with no hostility towards humans and quite intriguing abilities.”

Jon sighed: ”If I go to New City, I probably won’t be able to return to Originheart City for a while. But that’s alright; I’ve refused Lianna the witch several times, and I feel somewhat apologetic. This is a good opportunity to visit.”

Whenever Jon makes an appearance in New City, he is sought after by various parties involved in city construction, which is why he rarely visits New City, even refusing Lianna’s invitations for various reasons.

However, since Angel mentioned that the first generation Dream Plant Fairy and humans would soon make contact in New City, Jon naturally wants to witness this historic moment.

After a brief chat with Jon, Angel ended the conversation.

At this point, when Angel checked the ”Wilderness Traveler News” again, there was an official reply.

Undoubtedly, it was Lianna’s response.

Lianna sincerely evaluated the main article ”Civilization Confrontation,” sharing from her own experiences different states of relationships between civilizations. Some were favorable relationships, while others were mutually exclusive, even leading to annihilation.

Even Angel was captivated by these intricate and winding relationships.

Later, Lianna compared the civilization humans built in the Wilderness of Dreams with the Tree Civilization and confirmed that the two could coexist.

Clearly, Lianna was vouching for Angel.

She was also laying the groundwork for future readers of the post, rooting an initial impression: even if human civilization and Tree Civilization can’t harmoniously coexist, they shouldn’t be adversarial.

Of course, it’s difficult to root an impression based solely on these words. However, Lianna captured a key point: human civilization in the Wilderness of Dreams is an imported civilization. Human civil disputes should happen in reality, not in the Wilderness of Dreams.

The greatest role of the Wilderness of Dreams is to bridge the communication gap between humans; those ambitions should remain in reality.

Though Lianna’s words have flaws, at first glance, they are acceptable.

However, once the Wilderness of Dream’s benefits feedback into reality, these words may be subject to attack—but that’s future talk. Solving current issues takes precedence.

Lianna’s comment was lengthy, but there’s no doubt it will leave a deep impression on future readers.

Compared to Angel’s vague discussion, Lianna’s words marked the beginning of ”change.”

Although there was only Lianna’s message for now, Angel was already satisfied.

At least his initial goal had been achieved.

He believed that the coexistence between humans and Dream Plant Fairies would develop positively in the future.

Since humans had already accepted the second-generation Dream Plant Fairies, there wasn’t much rejection towards the Dream Plant Fairies themselves.

As long as the first-generation Dream Plant Fairies did not show obvious malice, coexistence should not be a big problem.

After closing the forum, Angel received another message from Lianna.

However, this time Lianna’s message was not focused on the main edition of the ”Wilderness Traveler,” but rather on inquiries about the supplement.

Lianna did not comment on the supplement in the post, not because she didn’t care about it, but simply because she hoped that newcomers would focus their attention on the main edition first.

She was also interested in the supplement, especially the first edition.

The first edition of the supplement introduced the scenery of the Wilderness of Dreams. Lianna wasn’t very interested in these beautiful landscapes, but she had ideas about the naming rights of these places.

Unless something unexpected happens, the Wilderness of Dreams could exist indefinitely.

In the future, it might even change the daily life of the Southern Domain Wizards’ Realm.

As long as the Wilderness of Dreams does not perish, naming the geographical features of the Wilderness of Dreams would be a way to attain eternal fame.

For ordinary wizards, increasing one’s fame might not mean much, but for an Alchemist like her, if her fame rises, the value of her Scent creations also rises. It’s an all-around good thing, and naturally, she didn’t want to miss this naming opportunity.

Angel supported this, however...

”You can try to name them, but the naming rights aren’t mine to grant. It’s best if it becomes a consensus.”

”If you want to name a place, try not to announce it too loudly. For wizards with a strong rebellious mindset, proclaiming a name might backfire. It’s best to make subtle changes and also take into account the feelings of local residents, like the Indigenous People of Originheart City and the Dream Plant Fairies of the Tree Civilization. If they agree with your chosen name, only then can it be considered a true naming.”

Angel explained some naming considerations to Lianna. Whether she could truly name them would depend on her abilities.

With this matter settled, Angel initially planned to check the fishing situation with Laplace.

However, due to the publication of the ”Wilderness Traveler News,” it attracted a lot of attention, and Tree Spirit and Ironclad Granny sent inquiries. Their focus was mainly on the ”information” whose source wasn’t easy to disclose.

Angel could only make a few offhand remarks before hurriedly logging off.

The impact of the ”Wilderness Traveler News” had already been set, and what happened next was up to fate.

With a relaxed, carefree attitude, Angel returned to reality.

...

Upon opening his eyes, Angel immediately looked at the fire wool carpet opposite him.

Dangross and Heideland, one a gentle pink and the other a light purple, were sweetly nestled together, intently watching the ”Anomalous Fire Alchemist.”

To be precise, only Dangross was watching with great interest. Heideland only appeared to be absorbed in it, but was likely daydreaming.

Because as soon as there was a movement from Angel, Heideland turned to look over, showing that its alertness to the outside world was much higher than Dangross’s.

However, after confirming it was Angel who had awakened, Heideland returned to its relaxed, lazy state.

”Has there been any message from Wang Wang?” Angel walked forward and gave the soft-feeling Heideland a squeeze.

Heideland couldn’t speak and wasn’t very intelligent, but facing Angel’s question, it didn’t extend its tentacles, which indicated there was no need to log into the Void network yet.

This meant that no message had been received from the Dalmatian.

Angel didn’t mind. The time in the Nightmare Realm was different from the outside, and he still couldn’t figure out the correlation between Nightmare Realm time and external time.

It’s not proportional, nor static, but rather a kind of chaotic time situation.

When the Dalmatian said it would send a message later, it could mean it would take days or even months.

Since no message had come from the Dalmatian, Angel also relaxed and began earnestly documenting observations on the Indestructible Heart Mirror.

He spent the entire day organizing.

When night fell, Red Sword Docks and Olao returned leisurely, with their faces glowing, indicating that their outing had yielded significant rewards.

Docks stretched and returned to his room for meditation, while Olao stayed in Angel’s meditation chamber.

Angel originally intended to chat with Olao and try to coax him into helping steer in the Heart Space. However, at that moment, Angel received an invitation from Lucia...

It mentioned that a variety of Witch’s Soup was prepared and invited Angel for an exchange session.

Previously, Angel had promised Lucia to have an alchemical exchange, and coupled with his interest in the Potionology of the Gypsy School, he accepted the invitation.

He left Olao to watch the ”Anomalous Fire Alchemist” with the three little ones, and Angel went out alone.

The reason there were three little ones was that in addition to Dangross and Heideland, Angel also released the Wood Spirit. Although it timidly hid in the corner wrapped around a pillar, it was considered a ”top-tier” viewing seat. After instructing Olao to take good care of it, Angel left.

Returning to Lucia’s Witch’s Soup establishment, he once again met the feminine version of Lucia.

Although Lucia didn’t know Angel’s identity, seeing the Black Earl being courteous to Angel, she understood that Angel’s identity was definitely not simple. Perhaps he was a distinguished professor at Ashiliya Academy?

In any case, Lucia was very hospitable to Angel; whoever Angel was, he wouldn’t bring harm to either her or the Starry District.

This exchange with Lucia was generous; she didn’t reserve some secret combinations of medicinal properties.

The exchange was mutually enriching.

This alchemical exchange with Lucia lasted an entire night.

It only ended when members of the Birlos Family came to seek Lucia’s assistance, seemingly to assist in clearing out spies, necessitating Lucia’s temporary departure from the Starry District with the Forest Girl witch, Yuma.

Angel didn’t linger outside and returned to his meditation chamber.

Just as he returned, he saw Heideland leisurely float before him, shimmering with flowing light.

Seeing this scene, Angel understood that a message must have arrived from the Dalmatian.
