Chapter 3053: Chapter 3054: Light Wheel

”This Aex really has some issues!” Dox bounced up and down like a rabbit and came next to Angel, joining him to look at the shrouded Mist. ”I always found him strange before; now it seems my intuition was correct... That brat Kaier even said I’m overly sensitive, claiming that Lord Aex is a good person and so on. If it weren’t for considering his safety, I’d really want to drag him into the ring to see who’s really sensitive and who’s blind!”

Dox’s tone was slightly agitated and indignant, as he looked towards Angel: ”I remember you also said he’s a good person.”

Angel glanced at Aex in the Mist and said calmly, ”I still don’t think he’s purely a bad person.”

At least, when it comes to saving and protecting people, Dox fully deserves the title of a ”good person.” Although ”good person” isn’t exactly a laudatory term in the Wizards’ Realm, it at least indicates that Aex is someone with a moral baseline.

Having a moral baseline doesn’t mean he’s problem-free. People are multifaceted, and often, determining good from bad depends on your stance.

From Angel’s point of view, the Aex he has encountered is sincere and moral; such an Aex is certainly not a purely bad person.

”Playing word games again, are you?” Dox didn’t argue against Angel’s view, merely muttering silently.

Angel also temporarily put aside his investigation of Aex; it’s not the right time for a ”trial of justice” against him, and he isn’t qualified to judge Aex—after all, Aex did save Kaier.

More important than focusing on Aex is now finding and retrieving the Avatar of the Speedy.

Angel ignored Aex and the suited man, thinking that even if they could break the Mist Illusion, it would take some time.

Thus, he must accelerate his search progress before they disrupt the illusion.

Angel kept his gaze fixed on the Witch Sharon, while Dox, at this time, stopped paying attention to her and instead focused on Aex and the suited man.

After all, he had green subtitles in his view, which would display Sharon Witch’s search progress. If there is any development, it would show up on the subtitles. So, there’s no need to constantly watch the Witch Sharon.

In Dox’s view, this Aex was far more intriguing than the Witch Sharon.

”Consecutive Slash...” Dox silently watched Aex, observing every muscle.

He was genuinely curious about Aex’s use of the Consecutive Slash.

In Dox’s eyes, Aex’s body hadn’t reached the prerequisite for performing a Consecutive Slash, yet Aex indeed wielded it; this could only mean one thing.

A gift from the Wild God.

The Consecutive Slash originates from the Wild God. If Aex was granted the ability to perform it by the Wild God, his execution of the Consecutive Slash would make sense.

Dox knew that if this suspicion were confirmed, Aex would essentially be deemed a ”traitor,” and his associates would likely face endless pursuits from the Extreme Sect.

However, as a Wandering Wizard, Dox wasn’t so ideologically driven or concerned with aligning his thoughts with the World Will. The task of capturing traitors was something he couldn’t care less about.

He was more interested in learning the technique of the Consecutive Slash from Aex.

Even if it were a gift from the Wild God, it wouldn’t be without some hidden technique. If he could uncover this technique, even mastering just 10% of it, with his physique, he might unleash a complete Consecutive Slash!

For this reason, Dox kept his eyes on Aex, his gaze intoxicated, memorizing every movement of his muscles.

If an outsider saw Dox’s expression at this moment, they’d certainly label him as a ”pervert.”

Unfortunately, there were no outsiders present, and even Angel missed such a spectacular scene, being focused on the Witch Sharon.

Soon, ten seconds passed.

Angel’s progress jumped straight to 85%.

Just as the progress bar was about to turn from 8 to 9, Dox suddenly grabbed Angel: ”Something’s not right, this Aex isn’t right!”

Angel: ”You’ve already said that before, no need to repeat it.”

Dox hurriedly said, ”I’m not talking about what I mentioned before; it’s as if he’s setting up some kind of ceremony, my inspiration is warning me... see for yourself!”

Setting up a ceremony? Inspiration warning?

A trace of doubt flashed in Angel’s eyes as he looked in the direction Dox pointed.

Only to see Aex in the Mist suddenly close his eyes, hands clasped, with a devout expression like that of an ascetic monk.

Following Aex’s bizarre actions, a glowing Light Wheel appeared spiraling out from behind him.

The Light Wheel floated with incredible speed, rising to twenty meters above his head.

The Light Wheel, like an angel’s halo, followed Aex constantly. But unlike an angel’s halo, it was much larger and continued to grow, reaching a diameter of thirty meters in mere seconds.

Finally, the Light Wheel’s diameter stabilized at about thirty-six meters.

Simultaneously, Aex finally opened his eyes, spreading his hands apart rapidly forming a gesture full of solemnity and ceremony akin to a temple statue.

This sacred gesture seemed to activate the Light Wheel above him.

At the center of the Light Wheel, streamers began to dance, threading different colored lines within the Wheel.

In an instant, the streamers wove a dazzling rainbow diagram within the Light Wheel.

From afar, it looked like a vibrant three-dimensional painting, hanging high in the Mist.

At this moment, with the Light Wheel formed, myriad rays descended.

Threads of multicolored light pierced straight into the Mist Illusion created by Angel. As the threads of light entered, the surrounding Mist was absorbed at an astonishing speed by the colorful threads.

”He’s absorbing your illusion!” Dox exclaimed at the sight before him.

At the current rate of Mist absorption, the illusion would dissipate in just ten seconds!

Before now, he never considered such a way of breaking through the illusion—what kind of ability is this? Could this be the warning from his inspiration?!

Dox was shocked, but Angel was even more so.

Being the Creator of the Mist Illusion, Angel sensed the changes in the illusion much more deeply than Dox... and in Angel’s perception, the illusion wasn’t absorbed nor vanished but entered into some strange state.

This state was difficult for Angel to describe; he could faintly sense feedback from the Illusion Node, yet couldn’t pinpoint their location... Furthermore, the deeper he delved, the more dizzy and uncomfortable he felt, even nauseated.

Angel decisively stopped probing further.

If he continued, he reckoned he might faint outright.

Although Angel couldn’t ascertain the truth of the illusion’s disappearance, he could vaguely sense it was an exceedingly profound ability, beyond his understanding.

He didn’t know what ability it was, but that Aex could wield it indicated his extraordinary nature.

Angel had initially just felt that there was something off about Aex, but now, he completely agreed with Dox... the problem with Aex was indeed very significant.

Perhaps it was because Dox had sensed something amiss about Aex, which is why he paid him so much attention?

Angel didn’t know if this guess was correct, but he didn’t give it much more thought.

The colorful light from Aex was about to completely absorb the Mist Illusion, and once the mist disappeared, Aex and the suited man would surely join forces with the Sharran Witch.

At that point, trying to obtain the Speedy Avatar from the Sharran Witch would be impossible.

So, he had to act now! Moreover, time was extremely pressing.

Without hesitation, Angel said to Dox, ”Take action!”

Dox was stunned for a moment, ”Huh? Where should I act?”

Angel didn’t answer, just threw out a ”see for yourself,” and swiftly melded with the shadow beneath his feet, shooting towards the Sharran Witch!

Dox quickly followed, rushing while checking the information Angel had left through the view.

Originally, there was a progress bar of green light hopping above the Sharran Witch’s head, but now the progress bar had disappeared, replaced by a green arrow indicator.

The direction of the arrow pointed directly at the Sharran Witch’s... chest.

Dox was momentarily stunned and instinctively said, ”Hey, hey, I’m not that kind of person!”

Angel didn’t speak, but instead presented a line of information in Dox’s view.

”Search this location.”

Search? Not an affront? Dox inexplicably felt a bit disappointed... He originally thought Angel wanted him to provoke the Sharran Witch, using her emotional feedback to relocate the decoy.

Unexpectedly, Angel had already pinpointed the decoy’s location and just wanted him to retrieve it.

Then again, this is also something that offends people!

”You truly are sinister, throwing all the infamous tasks at me!” Dox fumed towards Angel.

”If you won’t do it, I will.”

Dox cleared his throat, ”No worries, I’ll do it! I enjoy tasks like these.”

Dox quickened his pace, afraid Angel might change his mind. However, just as Dox was about to approach the Sharran Witch, two more lines of information appeared near the indicator above her head.

”Search inside the cloak’s chest pocket. Suggest using a weapon to destroy her cloak and directly pull it down for the search.”

”Of course, if you’re not afraid of facing the witch’s rage, along with the pursuit from two other wizards and a Shallow Sea Strongman, you could directly use your hands to search.”

Looking at these two lines of information, Dox’s expression changed from blue to red. He initially said it was okay to use his hands, but that accursed Angel ultimately suggested a different method?

Would he switch methods? Is he that kind of person?

Dox shouted internally, but in reality, he obediently drew his longsword and swung it at the Sharran Witch’s cloak.

Angel didn’t stop; he continued to close in on the Sharran Witch.

Previously, he used a progress bar to indicate the search progress.

The progress bar was merely a quantification. It didn’t mean the position couldn’t be determined if it wasn’t full. In reality, Angel had already roughly locked onto a few positions.

The chest pocket was just one of his suspicions. Actually, there was another spot he was very suspicious of, and that was his current target!

Angel and Dox both took action simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the mist near the Space Gate also began to dissipate. Although it hadn’t been completely driven away by that strange rainbow light, through the thin mist, one could see the situation outside.

Without doubt, the first place they all looked was at their companion—the Sharran Witch.

This glance caused both Stop and Aex to furrow their brows.

Previously, Stop had always felt that Aex was making a fuss over nothing. Paradise Land had both a spatial seal and a contract Word Spirit set by him. The Sharran Witch was a Space Wizard adept at self-preservation and escape, and she possessed the talent of a high-castle wicked witch. Facing Elder Moon and other members left here and crushing them would be no different from stomping on ants—how could she possibly fail?

But when the mist cleared and Stop saw the battered and bruised appearance of the Sharran Witch, he was shocked.

The last time he saw the Sharran Witch in such a sorry state was when she was confined in that high fortress, tortured by the wicked witch there. And that was two hundred years ago.

How could the Sharran Witch, with her capabilities, end up in such a manner?

Stop’s gaze slowly moved to the other side. He saw Dox wielding a sword and a majestic shadow.

A Bloodline Wizard, and... a Shadow Wizard?

Why were two wizards? This place was supposed to be the final duel ground; the contract shouldn’t have allowed two wizards to besiege the Sharran Witch, right?

Could it be... the contract was broken?

On the other side, seeing the Sharran Witch injured, Aex first looked at the two rushing towards her, but he didn’t recognize Dox since previously Dox had appeared as a red-haired female warrior in front of him... however, Aex recognized the shadow Angel was fused with.

Aex initially felt uneasy because Angel had come to the Council Hall.

Seeing Angel here, Aex’s eyes revealed a sudden realization.

”It really is because of him.” Aex murmured, and turned to look at Stop, wanting to inform him about Angel.

However, at that moment, Stop was looking up.

Above them were layers of huge rocks, but Stop’s eyes could see through these layers to the outside.

No sky dome, no light curtain, only deep night, and... the figures chasing them!

Not mentioning the pursuers, seeing the washed sky dome, Stop already understood that the spatial seal had been broken. And the contract depending on the spatial seal was gone too.

Stop softly said, ”The spatial seal outside is broken.”

”How did the spatial seal break?” Aex showed a look of shock and suspicion. That was a spatial seal the Sharran Witch had checked and set up over many days, using a vast amount of Demonic Materials. How could it have been broken in such a short time?

Stop shook his head, ”I don’t know, but let’s put these matters aside for now. We need to hurry and take the Sharran Witch away as quickly as possible... the Black Earl has already caught up.”

Aex initially wanted to talk about Angel, but hearing Stop’s words, he immediately cast such trivial matters aside. ”Understood! Three seconds, at most three seconds to solve this Illusionary Realm!”
