Triple X System

The sheer force of the blast blew the heavy reinforced iron exit door at the back of the chamber completely off its hinges, creating a wide, clear path leading straight out toward the deep rifts of the lower trenches.”Elara! Move!” Kyle roared, his deep voice carrying a terrifying acoustic echo that shook the debris. He didn’t wait for her to recover from her shock. He lunged forward, grabbing her by the waist with his massive arm and throwing her over his shoulder in one fluid motion. Utilizing the massive physical attributes coursing through his true demon limbs, he took a massive, explosive leap straight through the ruined exit door, rocketing out of the burning archives and into the open, cold air of the lower trenches.Behind them, the Ashen Dread was still thrashing in the center of the inferno, its level 65 attributes completely pinned by the residual fire as the archive room began to collapse inward into a pile of smoking black ash.Kyle hit the outer stone trail running, his heavy boots tearing through the dark grey smog as he navigated the steep, winding path leading toward the primary alignment node. His twenty-minute transformation timer was actively ticking down at the edge of his vision, but the fortress defenses were shattered, the executioner was burning, and the path to Yua was finally, absolutely clear ahead.

The rocky walls of the lower trenches blurred into a jagged smear of dark grey stone as Kyle tore through the canyon. Every stride of his seven-foot demonic frame covered meters of ground, his heavy boots fracturing the basalt beneath him with the force of his doubled, 612 Strength attribute. The freezing air of Kraken whistled past his massive, sweeping horns, but his internal temperature was boiling, the white-hot overflow of his replenished Demon Energy humming violently within his chest.

Over his shoulder, Elara clutched tightly to the dense, hardened muscle of his back. Her eyes were wide, staring in absolute, stunned silence at the jagged crown of black horns arching from his temples. She had felt his crushing aura before, but seeing him shed his human facade entirely to reveal the true, towering form of a devil lord was a different reality altogether.

”Kyle...” she managed to say, her voice barely carrying over the wind. ”Your... your baseline attributes. You aren’t just a high-ranking demon. That structural compression... it’s identical to the ancient text descriptions of the high underworld rulers.”

”I told you to hold on, witch,” Kyle’s voice vibrated, dropping into a multi-layered, terrifying bass that echoed off the high canyon walls like a localized tremor. ”My time in this form is limited. We don’t stop until we breach the perimeter of the alignment node.”

[Host, alert,] Snow’s voice chimed within his mind, her holographic interface adjusting to the edges of his expanded vision. [Transformation timer: 14 minutes, 20 seconds remaining. Your current speed is optimal, but the dark energy saturation in this specific lower trench layer is actively trying to compress your overflow reserves. Keep your momentum constant.]

Kyle didn’t need the warning. He could feel the planet’s toxic atmosphere scraping against his hardened skin, trying to bleed away the 1900 points of his remaining Demon Energy pool. He leaned forward, leveraging the 15% baseline movement speed from his Abyssal Talon leg to accelerate through a narrow, twisting rift in the stone.

As they rounded the final vertical bend of the trench shelf, the enclosed canyon walls abruptly opened up into a massive, sub-planetary crater.

Kyle skidded to a halt at the very edge of the steep drop-off, his heavy boots kicking up a massive cloud of dark grey ash that drifted down into the abyss below. He adjusted Elara on his shoulder, his crimson eyes narrowing as his futuristic eyesight locked onto the staggering geometry of the primary alignment node.

The crater was colossal, spanning nearly two kilometers in width. Embedded deep into the bleeding, cracked floor of the basin was a massive, spider-web network of heavy copper pipelines and pulsing red energy conduits that fed directly into a centralized, tower-like stone pillar. The structure looked like an ancient, perverted version of the focal tree they had seen in the grove—runic seals etched into the stone, but flashing a sickening, violent crimson hue that indicated Vladimir’s total faction control over the regional ley lines.

But Kyle’s tracking matrix completely bypassed the architecture. His gaze locked onto the lower walkway surrounding the central pillar.

Standing right at the main console of the alignment node, her hands deftly overriding the facility’s manual transmission locks, was a slender, dark-haired figure. She wasn’t wearing a mechanical suit, and she didn’t possess the pale, synthetic decay of the grunt-tier constructs. Her posture was fluid, authoritative, and surrounded by a brilliant, radiating aura of deep purple and silver energy particles that actively repelled the planet’s dark grey smog.

Yua.

Kyle’s heart hammered violently against his ribs, his breath locking in his throat as the system’s permanent harem tab began to rapidly flash a bright, glowing gold notification in his central view. The soul link was screaming, verifying her physical presence at point-blank range.

”She’s actually doing it,” Elara breathed out, slipping down from Kyle’s massive shoulder to stand at the edge of the ridge, her own eyes wide as she tracked the silver light swirling around the lower platform. ”Look at her hands, Kyle. She has the object. She’s actively integrating the Heart of Kraken directly into the primary node’s core matrix. If she locks those seals, the planetary dark energy loop will forcefully fracture.”

But before Kyle could take an explosive leap down into the crater to bridge the gap, the runic tattoo on his left hand violently flared, a sudden spike of icy, calculating panic surging from the dormant parasite nesting inside his soul core.

*’Demon, halt your stride,’* the Rootcrystal Deer’s telepathic voice suddenly echoed through his mind, stripped of its previous aristocratic boredom. *’Look at the upper tiers of the stone pillar. The vampire girl is not alone in that basin. The network security loop hasn’t just deployed foot soldiers—the rot has already taken root.’*

Kyle’s gaze snapped upward, his tracking matrix zooming in on the dark, shadowed platforms branching out from the central tower just thirty meters above Yua’s position.

Emerging from the thick grey smog of the upper tier were three distinct, towering silhouettes. They didn’t move with the liquid grace of the Order Justicar, nor did they bear the crude armor of the detector golem. Their frames were massive, wrapped in long, tattered grey robes that fluttered in the freezing wind, and their arms were elongated into grotesque, multi-jointed blades of black, calcified bone that hummed with a terrifying physical defense index.

[Target Inspection: Vladimir’s Sector Guardians — The Malice Sentinels]

- Lineage: High-Tier Blood Constructs / Core Protectors.

- Level: 60 (x3)

- Key Attributes: Strength: 390, Agility: 340, Durability: 400.

Three Level 60 sector guardians. Kyle’s jaw tightened, his sweeping horns crackling with a faint spark of purple demonic energy as he analyzed the combat parameters. His true demon form gave him the attributes to match their physical power, but his transformation timer was a ticking clock. If he didn’t clear the path before the 14 minutes expired, his stats would plunge back to his F-rank baseline, leaving him entirely powerless against their 390 Strength scales.

”They’re preparing to drop down on her,” Kyle growled, his multi-layered voice vibrating with an absolute, murderous focus as his killing intent ticked up past 25. ”She’s completely focused on overriding the console seals. She doesn’t see them.”

Elara looked up at his hulking, devil-horned frame, her hand instinctively resting against the stone ridge as she gathered the final remnants of her light affinity energy. ”My mana is back to thirty percent after the crawlspace extract, Kyle. I can’t blind three Level 60 guardians simultaneously, but if you drop into the center of the path, I can project a localized flash to disrupt their descent vector.”

”Do it on my mark, witch,” Kyle commanded, his crimson eyes drowning in a bottomless abyss of pure focus.

He didn’t waste another second of his transformation window. He bent his massive knees, loading the unholy kinetic tension within his calves as his Abyssal Talon leg hummed with a dark purple sheen. With a thunderous roar that shook the very rim of the crater, Kyle launched his seven-foot frame straight into the air, rocketing down into the basin like a fallen meteor of hellfire and bone, ready to intercept the dark before it could touch his wife.
