Triple X System

Trailing behind Reze, Kyle guard was up now than ever. It was one thing to consider higher beings were interested in him, but now he had to worry about the more potential threat present. Which was none other than the mysterious female scientist.

’If she’s aware of the system then why hasn’t she confronted me about it?’ That was the thought Kyle pondered inwardly.

During their brief exchange, he’d gotten too over confident which cost him. Underestimating Reze strength, and her weird somewhat overwhelming ability. Making his brows contort down a bit, the Origin entity words replaying in his head.

”Your progress is compelling and far exceeds my expectations. But with fame and power comes decisions and sacrifices.”

Staring at Reze back, the idea of her possibly being a powerful being or such crossed his mind. But there was still little to no evidence to prove this claim.

”I can feel your piercing gaze towards me you know..” Reze muttered with a light smile, making Kyle’s suspicions about her surge.

Walking for a while, it didn’t take long till they eventually reached the royal dinning room.

Just like he remembered, it is still spacious like before. With some noticeable new features added, such as the introduction of a single large monitor screen. Identical to the one’s present in Reze current lab, stretching 95 inch wide.

”Unfortunately the dargon’s invasion was much severe than we’d anticipated. Most of our equipments were destroyed, along with several portions of the kingdom.”

Looking at her she had a neutral expression, but Kyle could sense the killing intent excluding from her. And even the system surprisingly confirmed it.

[Subject: Reze]

[Killing intent: 25/100]

’This is new.’ Kyle thought not expecting to see a screen pop up.

He didn’t use demon eyes as an inspection skill, since the system didn’t state it as such. Mainly to inflict a weaker version of illusion on the affected individual, considering his/her will wa lower than his.

[There’s no doubt most, if not all your skills has leveled up or evolved. Hence brought about the sudden message notification from the system.] Snow answered before he even thought about asking.

’You’re getting a little over confident sensei.’ Kyle relayed telepathically, with a low sheepish smile.

”What are you thinking about?” Reze soft voice pulled him from his thoughts.

Her soft pink lips slightly curved upwards in a soft smile, while her hand on his.

Forcing a frown, he didn’t appreciate the cocky scientist caring personality switch. Still believing there’s no doubt a hidden agenda to her strange actions.

”Don’t ever do that again.” Kyle sternly warned, releasing some of his aura to highlight his level of seriousness.

Sighing, the brilliant scientist raised her hands in defeat. ”Most men would already be ecstatic about sitting here with me. But here you are.. breaking free of my every charms.”

Not speaking immediately, Kyle deliberately scoffed at Reze words. Apparently, she sought herself as a valuable item. Which interfered with supposed men hearts and minds.

”Wait until you see my wife, then you’ll know real art.” Kyle snickered causing Reze to abruptly open her eyes from her grand delusions.

Controlling her boiling rage, she took a bite with of the dish on the table. Chewing more disorganized than normal considering her high expectations.

”Why did you bring me here?” Kyle asked, already annoyed he was denied the right to see his parents.

Honestly, he could just start a killing spree and take out hundred of civilians. But that would be stupid, acting only on brains and no brain.

”Inquisitive I’ll give you that.” Stylishly sipping some water, her expression slightly altered to more serious one.

”The planet kraken, what do you know about it?” She calmly asked, eyes fixated on him.

[It’s click bait. Though I’m not sure what you experienced while in your blackout state with the mana rain. It’s no doubt she suspects you do.] Snow explained to Kyle.

After he’d awoken from his paralysis sleep state, his cheeky system helper also became active after a while. Though his system functions were still locked, mainly because of the evolution process he achieved 2 weeks prior.

He’d made sure to fill snow in on all he encountered during the trance. Which she replied as ’a possible glance to the future.’

At first he thought it was the strange original being messing with him, but snow assured him there was no interference from the being. Stating about a possible upgrade in his kirlin eyes skill, now able to detect occurrences in the future at a wider range and faster pace.

”Zero clue unless the information you stated earlier.” Kyle slowly responded, maintaining eye level with her.

”I see~” Softly tapping her index finger on the table cloth thrice, the dormant screen behind her suddenly switched on.

On it’s feed was a picture of space, and surrounding planets. Fast forward across multiple planets the view stopped on a distant planet red in colour.

It’s exterior was way different than most planets, forming a strange like an upside-down pear. Resembling an identical heart, deep red like blood

’Kraken.’ There was no debating the planet he was staring out right now was kraken.

During his vision, there wasn’t much identification on the planet as a whole. But it wasn’t a barren planet, in the sense of hell or a desert.

Instead it was more of a subterranean space filled with harsh environments that either kills you, or turns you into something worse. Just like mana strengthens, aids, and grow, so those the abundant amount of dark energy inhabiting kraken did.

Just not in typical sense, but a more drastic mutation. Not to mention the abominable entities and hybrids dwelling in such hellhole.

”As I’m sure you’re already aware this is kraken. A wide planet filled with dark energy hostile to humans and run-over by creatures believed was to have spawned out from hell.”

Reze tried to be dramatic in a spooky tone, earning a raised brow from Kyle.

”Many say this planet is a sub terrain of hell, the infinite inferno housing the souls of the damned. Ruled by one king, the devil himself!” Reze exclaimed like a tavern storyteller, piquing the attention of some nearby royals. Directing an awkward glance towards her, which she ignored.

”If what you speak of kraken is true, riddle me this..” Leaning closer, his eyes glowed an intricate bright red.

”Why would you humans risk your lives over suicidal mission. Knowing full well your chances of survival are little to none.” Kyle muttered, adjusting his voice to a more deeper tone.

Unfazed, the hot woman opposite him didn’t look concerned. Instead, it was the exact opposite reaction of fear like Kyle expected.

”Such an interesting question for a powerful peasant with no background.” She smiled, tapping her index finger once causing the screen to change.

Glancing at the screen, there was a slight shift in his stoned expression. Which didn’t go unnoticed by the brilliant scientist.

”What’s wrong? I didn’t meet your expectations?” Reze smirked, sipping wine from the sleek glass cup.

[H-how is this even possible!?] Snow stuttered in disbelief, watching the screen through Kyle’s lenses.

The image displayed on the screen wasn’t of kraken, but a human group consisting of 4 individuals in it. Namely Kyle, Lucias, Layla and elara.

”There are rumors of shape shifting creatures from kraken spread across various planetsin connection with the devil. And while I wasn’t certain at first, these beasts invasion confirmed some of my theories.”

Adjusting her glasses a bit, a wild smile formed to her face.

”So let me ask you this. Kyle Conner, are you one of the apprentice of the devil?”
