Triple X System

”What do you mean by current state? What’s going on with falcon!?” Kyle demanded in a more serious tone, the playful expression taking a 180° turn.

With a light sigh, reze spun her chair around to the big screen behind her. Typing in some commands, bringing up a new feed.

”Why don’t i just show you.”

Before Kyle’s eye hr could see falcon in what looked like a medical facility. ’I haven’t been here before.’

Checking out the room surroundings it was mostly plain white, with some medical equipments. Confirming his theory, this was the supposed secret high tech clinical facility Troy was hiding.

”What’s going on with her, she looks fi-”

”Argh!” Falcon’s scream pierced his ears, leaving him short of words.

She was restrained on the bed, with several black straps confining her in place. While the same blue cuff, known as a power cuff was locked on to her wrist.

”Why the hell is she being treated as a prisoner? I earned the right of freedom long ago!” Kyle questioned, his eyes glowing red from rage. The blue power cuff pulsing under the sheer intensity from Kyle’s anger.

Maintaining her calm gaze, reze stared at the screen. Then back to kyle, as if trying to figure something out.

”Weird.. her condition has been in a docile state since you died. But now, she’s reacting violently upon your awakening.” Her voice was low and calculating. Her thoughts drifting off to some possibilities that’d formed in her mind.

”You didn’t answer my question.” Kyle frowned, annoyed reze was trying to shift the topic.

”Why is she like that, and what are you doing to her?” Slightly shaking her head, reze stood up pointing towards the screen.

”I never did take you for a smart one, and your still proving my point.” She dictated, irritating Kyle’s thin patience more.

”Take a look at the screen and tell me what you see?”

”I see an innocent person being tortured by a crazy woman with a mad ambition.” Kyle’s response was instant, without any consideration.

”Ouch! That hurts..” A light chuckle escaped the cocky scientist lips. ”Look closer~ Did you really think we’d be gullible enough to hurt her? While our rules and obligations here differs and may seem unorthodox to you. We’re infact not just mindless savages who takes pleasure in killing and torturing our kind.” She explained, causing kyle to roll his eyes not buying it.

”I’ll keep that in mind.”

”Anyways.. During her assistance with the blue skinned dargon, she suffered quite a fatal injury to her gut region.” Reze pointed to the screen now split in two.

Half showing falcon’s current state, still writhing in pain. The pain opted to have subsided a bit, still looming over her control.

While the other half of the screen depicted her image, after the fight with the powerful lightning dargon. A huge gapping hole could be seen, replacing where her stomach was meant to be.

[An injury like that to someone of her nature should mean instant death. It’s a miracle she’s still alive.] Snow butted in, her tone serious when she spoke.

”Normally she’s meant to be dead.” Reze continued without much sympathy, like she’d experienced death much often.

”But, thanks to Miss Lisa’s unparalleled healing ability. She survived, and we managed to keep her that way with a few of our Ace cards.” Reze puffed her chest a bit with pride, while uttering those last words.

”So why is she screaming in pain?” Kyle pulled her attention back to reality, making the brilliant scientist grumble some inaudible words.

”Well.. Though miss Lisa was able to sustain her physical appearance and even managed to repair some cells. The damage had already been done, coupled with the effects from the world tears.” She said resting on the brick wall, coated in a strange green paint. Kyle already had a guess was dargon’s skin.

”If I’m not mistaken she’s undergoing a metabolic change which interferes with her gene structure and entire metabolism. Creating a new formation of endoplasmic cells of higher understanding, limited to the confinements of her weak state.” Reze finished, adjusting her glasses.

Staring at her, kyle was frozen like a statue. ’What the actual fuck?’ Was the thought swirling in his mind right now.

He knew reze was prideful and all, but this was madness at a whole new level!

[She’s saying falcon is undergoing a change, a transformation into something more powerful thanks to the world tears. But her earlier injury already damaged most of her cells, courtesy of the dargon’s strange lightning ability. Hindering the smoith transformation process, therby putting her body at a crossroads. Of healing with limited energy and also undergoing a transformation process. Requiring a high energy storage and compatible physical fitness.] Snow explained telepathically.

’So you’re saying she’s dying, right?’ Kyke asked, just to be sure he understood any of what these mad scientists had to say.

[Yes, she’s dying.] Snow confirmed, angering kyle more.

”Hey! Don’t tell me you’re ignoring me?” Reze called out, pulling Kyle’s attention. ”You know.. it’s rude to ignore someone as charming as me.” She declared with a light scoff.

Lowering his head, reze words were all but a blur to Kyle’s ears. His mind drifting off to that unfortunate day, the day everything was taken from him.

His women, his parents, his freedom, Hell! He’d even sacrificed his humanity just to kill the bastard haunting him. And yet in a flash he was humbled and ridiculed by the being he hated most.

’Lucifer.’ The name wad like a plague haunting his whole existence.

As a teenager, he never did have any real goals. Probably make friends, go on aa couple of dates.. Get laid if he was lucky, and eventually actually graduate.

Then plan on aquiring a job, nothing too fancy but average. But all that changed when he met Lilith, and now it was clear what his purpose was.

’I’m going to get stronger and kill that bastard. Forging my path as the new demon king.’

The thought itself was insanity at it’s peak, causing his body to tingle in sick pleasure. A new foreign energy rising within him, similar to his demon energy yet vague.

Like the formation of an entirely new core, sutuated at the center. In between his demon and mana core.

”H-how is he doing that?” Reze stuttered, watching a dense dark fog emitting from Kyle’s body.

The fog then condenser, getting thicker taking a more defibate shape. Contorting and vibrating with power, forming what appeared to be a dagger.

It was no more than 7 inch long, with a smooth texture at the top and sides. While the bottom/sharp edge had a set of rough pointy shards that looked like teeths.

With a swuft motion the dagger clashed with the power cuff. There wasn’t a spark of flanes or collision sound, like reze expected. Only the free passage of the dark blade, slicing through the power cuff like paper. Cutting it in two, both halves falling to the floor with a soft thud.

”Impossible ~” Reze eyes widened in disbelief, not believing her eyes.

Those power cuffs weren’t ordinary in the slightest, as she’d made them. Using some remnant water from the world tears they’d gathered and a couple of three mana stone to create just one.

Which took countles sleepless nights and brain wrecking thoughts, she was already used to. But that wasn’t what left her shocked, no! It was the fact kyle had managed to bypass the cuffs purpose, and somehow activated his ability.

Severing the power cuffs with a basic dark dagger, like it was some random paper cuffs.

Now free, the black dagger floated besides kyle. It’s shape solid and unmoving, like a real blade crafted from a dark material.

Taking a step forward, reze body subconsciously trembled under the tremendous unhinged aura being released by kyle.

’His aura isn’t anything like before, it’s like he’s a completely different person.’ Attempting to move, she couldn’t. Not because of fear, but an external force. Specifically shadows with arms extended, grabbing both arms and leg pinning her in place.

”I won’t ask you again, where is she?” His voice was deep and slightly gruttal as he spoke, more like a beast than man.

The black dagger pointed to her throat, just inches away from her skin.

”There’s no point in meeting her like this. W-we’ve tried everything we could but her situation is far worse than we anticipated.” Reze muttered, her gaze locked to Kyle’s.

Not responding, there was a flash of consideration in his hollow gaze. Like he was having an internal conflict.

”How can i save her?” Hearing those words, a bright smile formed to reze lips.

”There is only one item that can guarantee her safety. It’s a plant with a crystal clear texture, known as the Luminara.” Reze stated, the image on the screen changed. Showcasing a plant similar with a clover leaf, having a distinct glass like appearance.

”Where is it?” He asked, the blade pressing more to her neck.

”On a nearby planet with unknown inhabitants, and a large amount of surrounding dark energy. We call it Kraken.”
