Three Towers Game

Chapter 1476: Chapter 474: The Gamer’s Hidden Stage

Wen Xishu was not visiting the Stealth Level for the first time.

Although the values in the Stealth Level had changed, then again, because Wen Xishu had climbed more layers, both his values and mechanisms saw significant improvement.

This time, he spent twenty minutes meticulously observing the guard routes.

Then, in his mind, he began simulating the reaction of all guards after he fired the first shot.

”Is he going to hide under that giant computer again like before?”

”Who knows, but he can’t stay hidden forever.”

”If we kill him a few more times, he might just become one of us. Hahaha...”

”You seem quite happy?”

”Of course, you’re not counting on someone to save you, are you? I don’t want to leave, it’s pretty good here.”

The guards started chatting idly.

Wen Xishu quickly devised the best plan, the crisscrossing routes allowed him to conveniently conduct guerrilla warfare.

He fired the first shot.

The silent gun swiftly took out a patrol eye.

The surveillance footage suddenly turned black and white before disappearing; immediately, someone realized something was wrong.

”Strange, we’re missing a surveillance feed, send two people to check, the Challenger might have come.”

Two guards in black combat suits began heading towards the direction where Wen Xishu had destroyed the patrol eye.

As Wen Xishu expected, he seamlessly changed magazines and aimed without a word.

Bam!

A headshot, even with a helmet, couldn’t withstand the gun after a 700% damage boost.

Wen Xishu changed magazines again.

Taking advantage of the living guard’s shock, Wen Xishu completed his second reload.

Bam!

The guard probably didn’t expect it to be like this, unable to react before being headshot by Wen Xishu.

With both guards dead and nearby surveillance compromised, Wen Xishu immediately went to the location of the guards’ bodies, which had vanished just like in other levels, turning to dust upon death.

But there were drops, like the guards’ firearms, power potions, life potions, and other items.

Wen Xishu also directly threw the guards’ guns into the distance.

This commotion attracted more guards.

Therefore, these unsuspecting guards became Wen Xishu’s targets once more.

Wen Xishu’s shooting skills seemed like hacking, with each shot a headshot. He used the same method, constantly throwing decoys to deal with the guards.

”Is he a ghost?”

”Why is his movement deviation so big this round?”

”He actually... has a gun!”

Guard A exclaimed in surprise before dying.

After all, Wen Xishu only used the gun this round, which was novel to them.

”Damn, got tricked!” Guard B died with hatred.

”Damn it, does this gun make no sound?” Guard C died in shock.

Before long, all the guards in this level were taken down by Wen Xishu, without triggering any alerts.

When the entire server room quieted down, with no conversations, only the low hum of machinery, Wen Xishu found the special computer he encountered before.

Indeed.

Despite losing memory from the previous round, ”instinct,” ”déjà vu,” and ”reincarnation” feelings were all there.

All these things were telling Wen Xishu one thing—

Without a gun, this level is almost impossible to complete without alerting the guards. It’s undeniable that the game’s feedback is intriguing; when players get riddled with bullets, they’ll unlock gun permissions.

And the game has another rule—a rule that only appears in the game.

And that is ”triggering the alarm.”

Normally, upon discovering a companion’s corpse, the guards would trigger the alarm immediately. But like assassins from some famous IPs, as long as the guards don’t find you, even if surrounded by bodies, they will only expand the patrol area and not activate the alarm.

This time, Wen Xishu, just like Bruce Long, had to complete all the actions. Although the guards could freely communicate and seemed to possess a certain free will, they were undoubtedly gamified.

Their behavior started to follow a certain rule.

Based on this rule, Wen Xishu dealt with the enemies one by one.

He successfully killed all the guards and destroyed all surveillance eyes.

Now, Wen Xishu could even freely stroll around the entire scene.

”Hmm, finally completed the stealth.”

Seeing the ground littered with packages, Wen Xishu felt a surge of satisfaction.

After picking up the packages, he started searching for the ”hidden machine.” Although this part of the memory should be forgotten, following various clues, he was certain there were hidden items.

Thus, Wen Xishu found that computer again.

On the green computer screen, familiar text appeared.

[Congratulations, you have seen me again, but will you choose death again?]

[Alright, you might find this a bit unfamiliar, here’s a brief recap for you.]

A sequence of text appeared.

Wen Xishu immediately realized he had been here in the previous round and used death to upgrade something.

[Seeing you here again makes me happy, maybe you are the one I’m waiting for. But our transaction is fixed, only death can upgrade your perception. If you have really upgraded, then you must have seen the surprise on the NPCs’ faces, right?]

Yes, Wen Xishu had no doubt about this.

[If you want to continue trading, you will trigger the alarm, do you remember the mission rules?]

[Although I admire you for killing all the guards, the rule is—once the alarm is triggered, the guards will respawn infinitely. So do you want to continue trading?]

[Use death to exchange for further perception upgrades. Of course, I won’t lure you, I must tell you, you don’t have many chances to die, you have to make the decision yourself.]
