Three Towers Game

Chapter 1468: Chapter 471: Gamer Dialogues_2

Kelly thought for a moment:

”Come on, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, that’s what this game is all about. If you clear the level, you might just bring out some kind of equipment or skill enhanced to the extreme from the game.”

”That’s why this game attracts so many people.”

Kelly didn’t say any more.

Wen Xishu could roughly guess that the Gamer’s game can impact reality. This is good, after all, entering the game comes with the risk of being assimilated into an NPC.

This risk has to be matched with the corresponding rewards.

Wen Xishu knew that Kelly also had her challenges, so he didn’t continue to ask.

Before long, she tossed a Great Tachi emitting a blue shimmer to Wen Xishu.

”Catch, this is your new toy. Seems like the skill tree got a bit crooked... but make do with it.”

Wen Xishu took the Great Tachi and found that it really was crooked. With the mirror fragments, plus the weapon upgrade rewards from clearing the game, and combined with Kelly’s machine, this sword was upgraded.

From the previous ancient standard Great Tachi, this sword had become a yellow grade — the rare Stealthy Ninja Sword.

The stun chance of the Tachi was increased, and the damage also seemed higher. At the same time, it had an additional item entry, which was peculiar—

Entry One: Now your stealth will be even harder to detect.

Entry Two: Luck +3.

Wen Xishu was speechless; it was hard to imagine a Great Tachi with a stealth entry. However, Luck +3 was definitely a rare entry.

Kelly was also quite pleased:

”Although it’s crooked, the mirror is a good thing and can still bring strong additional properties.”

Wen Xishu also thought the weapon was crooked, yet how great it would be if both entries were useful to him?

But soon, he felt Kelly’s ulterior motive.

As the elevator started, Kelly gave a mysterious smile and said:

”Good luck.”

...

...

Fourth floor. The moment the elevator doors opened, absolute silence enveloped Wen Xishu.

Before him was a futuristic giant server room: hundreds of two-meter-high black server cabinets neatly arranged, emitting a low hum.

The floor was a reflective dark color, and the ceiling had moving scan beams slowly sweeping past like searchlights.

Small holographic warning signs floated in the air: ”Unauthorized access will trigger a purge protocol.”

This was obviously a stealth level.

Wen Xishu was amused.

Kelly was really bold. Was this outright helping me cheat? If she could defeat a Gamer, Kelly ought to be someone worth knowing.

If she retained the abilities of her character ”Kelly,” she might even enhance her items.

Just like when capturing the Judge, capturing a few other interesting characters would be ideal. Wen Xishu wouldn’t mind having more characters like Kelly.

The more, the merrier, after all, he’s the social butterfly of the Three Towers.

Of course, these were just fantasies; for now, he had to focus on the task at hand.

Wen Xishu immediately went into stealth mode, bending down and hiding his body in the shadow of a large server.

Soon, he saw guards in black tactical gear, holding pulse rifles, patrolling along a fixed route.

The guards were on a fixed path, but every now and then, they would randomly change their routes.

When Wen Xishu entered stealth mode, the guards had a giant blank eye above their heads.

Blank, indicating that Wen Xishu hadn’t been detected.

If Wen Xishu made any sound, the eyes above the guards would turn yellow, signifying that they sensed something was off and started searching for the target.

If it turned red, it meant the target was locked in, and they wouldn’t lose it for a short period.

Looking at the guards’ equipment, Wen Xishu was tempted to strip it off them.

[Shut down three ’core servers’ (glowing golden cabinets), or find the hidden task completion method.]

[Warning: It’s recommended to complete this level by stealth. Triggering an alarm will result in infinite reinforcements of guards; breaking through requires extremely high combat power]

There’s a possibility of forcefully killing the guards...

But Wen Xishu thought about it and realized the margin for error in this gameplay was very low.

Wen Xishu quickly found the glowing golden cabinets. He just needed to stealthily approach the cabinets and shut them down.

The task would be complete.

In some sense, as long as he wasn’t detected by the guards, the difficulty would be lower than the previous two levels.

And Wen Xishu quickly locked onto the route.

”Seven guards. Each guard has a 120° field of vision. Their sight doesn’t cover every place; there are blind spots.”

”Additionally, I need to watch out for those surveillance eyes. They’re another variable.”

”Keep observing.”

Wen Xishu patiently waited; his starting point was safe.

It’s a location neither the guards nor the surveillance eyes would reach.

But to get to where he needed to go, he would have to pass through the visual coverage areas of both the guards and the surveillance eyes.

Wen Xishu was very patient.

Extremely patient.

He even lay flat on the ground for an hour.

Many stealth games are actually a waiting game. Players think they’ve figured out the route map in just a few seconds, and then the developers suddenly break the conventional path with an NPC.

This kind of malicious design bets on the player’s impatience.

But Wen Xishu wasn’t in a hurry at all.

In the waiting process, Wen Xishu also heard some special dialogues, which made him realize he might have underestimated the situation.

As Patrol Guard A passed by the vent: ”He was hiding here last time... should have changed places by now, right?”

”Why hasn’t he appeared? Usually, these trespassers use the same hiding routes.”
