Three Towers Game

Chapter 49: Original text: Chapter 41: The First Victim_2 Modified:

This is just what’s on the record. There’s still an unknown number of actual criminals who haven’t been recorded. Some data even Park Mi-hye doesn’t know.

All this indicates how important the secrets Wen Xishu holds are.

Park Mi-hye spoke:

”You all should know about the first person of the Desire Tower, Wenren Mirror, right?”

Everyone nodded, this name was known to all.

Park Mi-hye continued:

”Wenren Mirror also had regrets once. As for the parrot, all I know is what Wenren Mirror wrote about the colorful bird on the fourth level...”

”A colorful bird can also have regrets. She didn’t want love; I gave her the wrong thing. I was greedy for speed and used the wrong method. That was one of the few times I achieved a level-one completion in my life.”

”To this day, I still regret it. Why did I look at her so superficially? What the bird wanted was real freedom.”

Park Mi-hye said:

”My studies in Huaxia language are indeed insufficient, but I can still read here where Wenren Mirror expressed his regret for the bird’s final fate early on.”

”You asked me about the parrot... All I can think of is the colorful bird.”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”See, you’re quite suitable to be the team leader, given you have experiences that we don’t. Perhaps in this team, the things you occasionally recall might help us greatly.”

Park Mi-hye did not decline.

She believed she hadn’t exposed herself, and only by not exposing herself could she gather as much information on Wen Xishu as possible.

Otherwise, if the other party became cautious, that would be troublesome.

So she nodded:

”From what you said, these two birds... are connected? If that’s true, I hope my memory really helps everyone.”

Park Mi-hye was the leader of the six, and the six briefly acquainted themselves with each other.

Aside from Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai, the others were exploring the Deceit Tower for the first time, having been from other tower systems before.

Time passed swiftly, and after confirming their preparations, they simultaneously activated the login devices.

...

...

The world of the parrot descended.

Wen Xishu wasn’t surprised; this place was indeed no birdcage. Rather, it was a special room with doors on all four walls.

Apart from the doors, the room contained only a chaotic vortex, nothing else.

This room did have a bit of a birdcage feel.

Because, as Wen Xishu saw it, opening the doors resembled an open birdcage, yet the bird didn’t dare to fly away. Just as everyone here was hesitating in place, waiting for someone to give a command.

[Choose a door and find the items that need purification behind it. Each item can let two people leave. The number of purifiable items obtained will determine the final score.]

”It seems we need to enter the room and find something... We have six people, as long as we find three things, we can all leave.” Mendemuir spoke.

He was timid but wasn’t scared by the scenario to the point of being unable to think.

Sita walked over to one of the doors:

”I... I smell a scent I like!”

The black vortex filled every corner of their vision. Wen Xishu and the others couldn’t see the scenes behind the doors.

Wen Xishu had to admit, collective thinking. His first thought was that the doors led to another space.

Therefore, if they couldn’t see, they could only enter in the dark.

But Brother Ah San’s logic was beyond comprehension; Sita’s first thought was... to smell it.

Who knew what scent he smelled that felt familiar and pleasant?

But this indeed gave Wen Xishu some ideas:

”Then this door it is? Staying here won’t help us, looking at it now, these four doors lead to four different scenes. These scenes... will ultimately form the birdcage for the ’parrot to fall into.”

”In the four scenes, there are four different items we need to find. If we find one, it should allow two people to leave, and those leaving might achieve level-one completion.”

”Whoever finds it can leave and designate another person to leave. No objections?”

Everyone found searching for things seemingly not too difficult.

Sita said:

”No problem, hurry in, I can’t wait anymore.”

Zheng Zai also slowly said:

”No, ques, tion.”

After entering the Deceit Tower’s zone, Wen Xishu found Zheng Zai becoming more bizarre, his gaze towards Sita increasingly terrifying and ferocious.

Sita himself didn’t notice, focusing entirely on the scent behind the door that he liked.

Park Mi-hye had no objection to Wen Xishu’s instructions, but she wasn’t blindly following:

”If we stand here not moving, will we be forcibly safely returned after seven days? This isn’t the Desire Tower, there’s no death if we don’t achieve the task goal and find happiness.”

This suggestion was excellent. In Wen Xishu’s view, proposing this could reduce his suspicion of Park Mi-hye.

Because it was reasonable.

Everyone didn’t know the dangers behind the doors, so staying here for seven days wasn’t impossible.

But before Wen Xishu could give a reason against staying—changes within the scene already made everyone aware they couldn’t do so.

Because... Sita felt the door moving.

He was the closest to the door, having leaned in to smell.

So Sita was the first to feel the door’s slight movement.

”The door is moving! It’s coming towards us!”

Wen Xishu looked at Park Mi-hye:
