Three Towers Game

Chapter 26: Chapter 19: Top-Level Meeting

The second level of the Bunker.

As the lowest functional level, although it has a significant flow of people, most of them are from the lower class.

Except for the staff from the Bunker Security Bureau, the Bunker Civil Affairs Bureau and its subordinate departments such as the Bunker Health Bureau, almost no one from the upper levels visits the second level.

They think it’s dirty.

Especially now, the lower class is suffering from an epidemic. To prevent the spread of the disease to levels above the fourth level—

The passage from the second level to the third level is nearly blocked.

Even those from higher levels wanting to come down need to be quarantined and prepare extensive documentation.

This, of course, has sparked discontent among all Bunker citizens living on the first residential level.

They held banners in protest, went on strike, recorded the miserable conditions of their families, and accused the upper levels of disregarding human rights.

But it was all in vain.

The care for human rights from above is condescending.

”Black lives matter” is indeed correct, but if the black people from the lower class provoke the true white aristocracy, especially those powerful people from the upper layers...

They might die unnoticed and unheard.

This is the Bunker. It is certainly unjust, but it is indeed correct.

For incurable epidemics, the upper levels believe that sacrificing a portion of the population is better than sacrificing everyone.

For several consecutive days, the passages to the higher levels have been closed.

This suffering falls on the lower class, and naturally, it affects the grassroots personnel of the Bunker Health Bureau as well.

Coughs, vomiting, the sour stench of various fluids in the air... these things permeate the first residential level and the second functional level.

The health bureau personnel actually empathize easily with the lower class; aren’t they also from the lower class?

They only hope that the upper levels will send assistance.

Originally, it was thought that this isolation from the upper levels would last a long time, but unexpectedly, today, there has been a sudden change on the second level.

Hundreds of doctors from the upper levels, dressed in protective gear, made an unprecedented descent from the upper levels.

Not only doctors, but also armed members of the Bunker Guard Squad came along.

This is a subordinate department of the Bunker Security Bureau, meant to suppress internal unrest within the Bunker.

Their sudden arrival today is because a miraculous building appeared on the second level of the Bunker.

That gigantic hospital, vastly different in style from other buildings on the second level, suddenly descended on the Bunker.

...

The hospital that appeared out of nowhere attracted quite a crowd from the lower class.

In the lower class, gangsters and thugs absolutely wouldn’t provoke or cause trouble at places like hospitals.

And this suddenly appeared hospital has an indescribable sense of advanced technology to it. It looks like a building from the future.

Patients yearning for treatment naturally had people who couldn’t resist exploring when the hospital appeared.

As people continuously flooded into the hospital, someone soon shouted:

”This was brought by someone named Wen Xishu! My god! This is a level-six hospital!”

”We are saved! We are saved!”

”Wen Xishu, Wen Xishu! He brought a level-six hospital! Quickly! Go call the health bureau!”

Upon careful observation, it becomes clear that a few people are only emphasizing Wen Xishu’s name, not caring about the hospital itself.

Under the guidance of these individuals, people’s attention quickly shifted to Wen Xishu.

More and more people rushed inside.

For the lower class, they love to talk about the strengths and weaknesses of individuals on the Celestial Ladder List.

Someone on the Celestial Ladder List obtained a certain sequence, although not high in level, they absolutely have stronger solo combat capabilities than another...

But their actual information is quite limited.

Just as they shouted Wen Xishu’s name, this name spread very quickly...

Yet no one mentioned that he is the brother of the notorious criminal Wen Chaohua.

Because they have no idea how heinous Wen Chaohua is, nor do they know the Wen Family’s entire lineage of ’bad seeds.’

Naturally, they wouldn’t recognize Wen Xishu. But under the guidance of some individuals, people began

to feel moved, celebrate, and vent!

Wen Xishu’s name quickly spread.

The suddenly appeared level-six hospital gave them immense hope.

However, soon the news reached the upper levels too.

The upper level Security Bureau troops in riot gear soon drove out the lower-level Bunker citizens from the hospital.

The upper-level troops occupied this hospital.

...

...

Sixteenth level of the Bunker.

As the eighth functional level, it can only be accessed by the absolute authority figures of the Bunker.

This functional level contains more than half of the level-six and level-five facilities of the Bunker.

But this most extravagant functional level serves only a very small number of people.

The director of the first division of the Bunker Security Bureau, the director of the first division of the Bunker Civil Affairs Bureau, and the director of the second division of the Bunker Security Bureau...

These people are sitting in the ”meeting room” now.

This is a level-seven facility: the meeting room.

Level-six represents advanced, excellent, and technological. But level-seven often possesses some special power.

A level-seven meeting room automatically generates various data to inform the managers of the latest changes in the Bunker.

Population changes, age structure changes, health status changes, birth rate, mortality rate.

As well as—the distribution of Bunker buildings and materials.

At this moment, the directors of the Bunker Security Bureau and Bunker Civil Affairs Bureau, the two largest departments of the Bunker, are having a meeting under the instruction of the Elder Council.

The topic of the meeting is the sudden arrival of massive supplies and level-six facilities.

”Wen Chaohua must have helped him. Otherwise, how could someone who has never climbed the tower achieve a level-six completion in Deceit Tower?”

”Dear directors, it is almost certain now that Wen Xishu is greatly linked to Wen Chaohua. I believe we should proceed with a higher intensity interrogation.”

The speaker is not the director of the Bunker Security Bureau, but the secretary of the first division of the Security Bureau.

The director of the second division of the Bunker Security Bureau, obese, with a Mediterranean hairstyle and a strong leadership vibe, spoke with a kindly smile:

”Comrade, don’t rush to conclusions. We cannot rule out the possibility that Comrade Wen Xishu is indeed a genius in exploring Deceit Tower.”

”Besides, the Xun Family also mentioned the principle of joint exploration of the Three Towers. The exploration of Deceit Tower is bound to flourish. Wen Xishu accomplishing such achievements during his first climb is perfectly suitable for the Security Bureau’s needs.”

”Whether they are death-row inmates or social elites, as long as they can explore the Three Towers, they are valuable.”

At this point, a white woman with high cheekbones, a prominent nose, and sharp eyes in the third division of the Security Bureau said:

”Don’t forget one thing, if the Wen Family’s atrocities reappear in Desire Tower and indiscriminate killing occurs, it might prevent us from exploring Desire Tower.”

”If Wen Chaohua truly helped Wen Xishu, it wouldn’t lead to the conclusion that Wen Xishu is a genius; the Wen Family is all rotten. We can’t trust such people.”

”Extract all information about Wen Chaohua and then execute him; this is what we should do now.”

The youngest of all the Security Bureau directors at thirty-seven years old, made director through outstanding military achievements, spoke up.

His sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, along with his square face, gave him a commanding presence:

”I told you this woman only causes trouble, didn’t I? Just listen to what the hell you’re saying?”

”So we won’t reward a person who brought back facilities that vastly improve medical conditions for every Bunker citizen, hugely alleviating the material pressure on the lower levels, and potentially solving this epidemic? We’d rather execute him?”

”Is Bunker law decided by slamming the table? Or have you already prepared to blackmail him?”

At this point, the director of the first division of the Bunker Civil Affairs Bureau suddenly spoke:

”Everyone calm down. Let’s first take a look at this equipment. Although I advocate for the execution of Wen Xishu...”

”Public opinion might be hard to suppress unless we completely ignore the medication Wen Xishu brought.”

The director of the second division of the Security Bureau said:

”It seems this medication is extraordinary?”

Everyone’s gaze turned to the center table of the meeting room, and soon someone gasped:

”This is level-six hospital supplies, quite different from level-four and level-five.”

In the center of the meeting room, a huge 3D image appeared.

The content on the image was the remark of the medication Wen Xishu brought.

[Level-six Medication—After use, eliminates all viral diseases and provides immunity from all diseases for fifteen days. Remark 1: Cannot heal injuries, this medication is effective only for curing diseases.

Remark 2: This medication only eliminates diseases, it does not provide nutrition.

Remark 3: The medication has a nine-month interval for consumption.]

Everyone was silent.

The medication Wen Xishu brought doesn’t potentially solve the lower class epidemic; it definitely does.

Everyone knew the meaning of eliminating all viral diseases and providing immunity from all diseases.

”This is indeed supplies from Deceit Tower, truly unreasonable.”

As Liu Jinsen’s superior, the director of the second division of the Bunker Security Bureau hoped Wen Xishu would survive.

Now, his smile grew even more evident.
