Three Towers Game

Chapter 33: Chapter 26 Successfully Rescuing Wen Xishu

The temperature in the Bunker is very suitable for human survival. Only around the time of the Great Devouring will there be drastic temperature changes.

But right now, in this pleasant temperature, Xie Changfeng is sweating profusely.

He knows very well that if Wen Xishu is rescued from his hands, his own fate will likely be dire.

He wants to firmly tell Albert that even freshmen from Three Towers Academy cannot evade the law.

But when the words reach his mouth, he cannot say them.

Because outside the door, there are fifty-four guards, but with a series of muffled grunts, all fifty-four guards are already unconscious on the ground.

Xie Changfeng stammers:

”Even... even if it’s you, you can’t... take him! He is someone the director specifically wants to interrogate.”

”You should know, if you take him away, we will mobilize the armed forces!”

Albert actually stopped his actions.

He said somewhat awkwardly:

”That would be too scary, ah, I am just an old man with one foot in the grave, I don’t want to face the Bunker’s army.”

Seeing Albert stop, Xie Changfeng breathed a sigh of relief. After all, Albert is human too.

This old man might have some abilities, but there’s no way he could single-handedly defeat a fully armed army.

”Principal, I’m sorry, but Wen Xishu harbors secrets related to the criminal Wen Chaohua, we...”

Xie Changfeng wanted to say that they could not allow Wen Xishu to leave.

But his speech was interrupted by the sound of dense footsteps in the distance. A large group of people was approaching the interrogation room where he was.

The familiar voice made Xie Changfeng feel uneasy.

”Surround the place, ensure the safety of Mr. Albert!”

Liu Jinsen.

A person Xie Changfeng genuinely detested.

Originally, he might not have detested him so much, but during the interrogation of Wen Xishu, Wen Xishu kept expressing one sentiment: Have Liu Jinsen replace you, you are far inferior to Mr. Liu.

As a result, Xie Changfeng now loathes Liu Jinsen very much.

After Albert arrived, the Second Bureau of the Bunker Security Bureau also quickly followed.

Albert touched the back of his head and laughed heartily again:

”Hahahaha, thanks for your protection, you almost scared this old man to death! Seems like I won’t get shot after all. That would be quite troublesome!”

Liu Jinsen brought over thirty field operation elites from the Second Bureau of the Bunker Security Bureau.

The number of people wasn’t large, but it was enough to deal with the First Bureau’s interrogation department, whose guards had been completely wiped out.

Now even if Xie Changfeng called for backup, it would be too late. Furthermore... the call might not even go through.

The Second Bureau daring to blatantly seize the person likely indicated that the upper-level game was not going well.

And if all of this were to be accounted for, it would most likely be blamed on him—Xie Changfeng’s ineffective interrogation and allowing a situation to arise despite having the authorization to use drugs.

Xie Changfeng grew increasingly anxious and couldn’t help but shout at Liu Jinsen:

”Do you know what you’re doing? Wen Xishu is a criminal! This is equivalent to prison break!”

Liu Jinsen is a straightforward man, but at this moment, he had also learned to jest:

”I don’t know what you’re talking about. We’re just here to protect important figures of the Bunker—Albert Napolitano, who turned the tide during the Great Devouring and was awarded a medal by the Elder Council.”

”What prison break? Wen Xishu? I don’t understand.”

Xie Changfeng was stunned.

How is it that everyone today is out-talking him? Even Liu Jinsen, with his thick eyebrows, has learned to feign ignorance?

Albert picked up the unconscious Wen Xishu, still laughing familiarly:

”Hahahahaha, I’ll remember this favor! Today’s youth are truly frightening, always wanting to gang up on the old and weak. Without your help, I wouldn’t have walked out of this interrogation room.”

Liu Jinsen was also encountering this legend for the first time.

When he arrived with his men, he hadn’t expected that the more than fifty elites from the First Bureau would all be lying on the ground outside.

Hearing Albert speak, even the usually reticent Liu Jinsen couldn’t help but internally retort:

You are the most frightening one... it’s the First Bureau people who should be scared.

Albert carried Wen Xishu out of the interrogation room and soon headed for the ascending passage, preparing to go to the eighth level.

That is the fourth functional level, where the Seventh Level Facility Three Towers Academy is located. Although it’s a Seventh Level Facility, the school is now situated in the middle of the Bunker.

This is also a stance, making the academy a bridge connecting the lower and upper levels.

It also represents the academy’s ability to help people from the lower levels enter the upper levels.

Before leaving, Liu Jinsen said:

”Old Principal, the Security Bureau might not let Wen Xishu off so easily. We can help you rescue Wen Xishu, but there is part compromise too.”

Albert nodded:

”Tell me, what does this boy need to do? What do I need to do?”

Liu Jinsen said:

”Wen Xishu must cooperate with us, periodically... periodically go to Deceit Tower.”

Albert’s eyes sharpened slightly.

The ascending passage is at the edge of each level, and although it’s at the edge, it is quite crowded.

Even though there were many elites from the Second Bureau around Liu Jinsen, at this moment, he still felt a sense of pressure.

The passersby around them also inexplicably felt a bit cold, their teeth chattering.

”No matter what score you got last time in Deceit Tower, the next time you go in, you could die for unknown reasons.”

”Deceit Tower is unreasonable, you should be very clear about that. At the same time, understand that he is now my student.”

Liu Jinsen lowered his head slightly and said:

”Sorry, old principal. We can’t yield on this matter. I can only tell you that I will be in charge of Wen Xishu’s tower climbing, and I will extend the interval as much as possible.”

”But the directors have all agreed that Wen Xishu must regularly explore Deceit Tower.”

Liu Jinsen already felt the pressure and was thinking about how to communicate.

Albert suddenly laughed:

”Alright, that’s it then. What can I do? I’m just a weak old man. You can all disperse now. I’m going back to Three Towers Academy.”

Liu Jinsen was momentarily stunned, not expecting this legendary figure to be more agreeable than anticipated, not making things difficult for him.

If Albert refused to cooperate—

Perhaps the various departments in the bunker would ultimately not dare to do anything. This old man indeed has such capabilities. Maybe only a few people from the Elder Council could balance him out.

He had once heard from the director’s assistant that Albert’s Three Towers Academy is an independent entity, possibly rivaling both the Civil Affairs Bureau and the Security Bureau in size.

If Albert had taken a stand back then, perhaps the Wen Family might have had a different outcome.

But for various reasons, Albert didn’t take a stand. Even today, the old principal’s attitude made Liu Jinsen feel exceptionally... cooperative.

In fact, Albert had intended for Wen Xishu to frequently climb the tower.

It was also a way to owe the Security Bureau a favor.

Whether it was Liu Jinsen, the Second Bureau of the Security Bureau, Wenren Mirror, or Xun Hui...

None of these people could have directly made Albert rescue Wen Xishu.

He rescued Wen Xishu because he had this idea in mind. Albert also needed to interview Wen Xishu.

Now, he was very satisfied with the results of the first interview.

He didn’t know what methods Wen Xishu used to have Xie Changfeng interrogate for so long without obtaining any information.

But seeing Wen Xishu in a confused state, his body covered in festering wounds, yet still refusing to let Xie Changfeng succeed, this already made Albert very satisfied.

His hearty laughter echoed in the ascending passage, causing people around him to look at the muscular, white-haired old man in confusion.

The old man didn’t mind at all, thinking these were the gazes of adorable children.

Feeling the steady breathing of the child on his back, Albert actually thought about whether he should take this opportunity to ask about Wen Chaohua’s secrets.

But that would be too boring. He didn’t know why his most proud disciple, one of his three best students, Wen Chaohua, had turned into a villain...

But so what?

What others, even the highest power institutions in the bunker, consider major events, Albert could completely not care about.

Compared to what he is doing, everything else is so insignificant.

If possible, Albert hoped Wen Chaohua could stir up something that would even make him feel shocked.

His thoughts again fell on Wen Xishu:

”Among this year’s freshmen, there are a few interesting little fellows, you’re one of them, plus those in the fourth year.”

”Perhaps the Bunker’s second golden age will arrive.”

Wen Xishu had already fallen asleep, even if Albert spoke his innermost thoughts, Wen Xishu could not respond.

But Albert could feel the child’s vigorous vitality.

He started thinking about the content of the second ”admission interview.”
