System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1397: Combined Force

With the agreement between two massive superpowers in the Muivell Kingdom, it didnʼt take too long for others to suspect something big was going on.

They could see Oscar personally leading the troops out of their headquarters. The ones who accompanied him were the man who was rumored to be groomed as the next commander, Shale, the most veteran captain in the army, Drente, and the all-purpose captain, Clara.

Each squad brought a hundred people under their commands, totaling three hundred people.

With such a big movement, people were wondering what Oscar was planning to do and kept a close eye on him.

The royal family was panicking because they were currently weaker than the Demon Banner Army in terms of force. While it was true that the army maintained its neutrality, it didnʼt change the fact they were not hostile to Noel, unlike the royal family or the Tower Association.

To everyoneʼs surprise, Oscar was actually heading north, specifically towards the Ardagan familyʼs location.

They were confused, considering Oscar shouldnʼt really be Noelʼs ally. At the same time, with this kind of power, what did Oscar plan to do?

Everyone had the same question in their mind, but it was soon clear that Noel and Oscar had struck some sort of deal.

After all, Noel ended up meeting Oscar on a big plain south of his Golden Dawn City.

When Noel stepped forward, he saw Oscar in his military uniform. Even though he wasnʼt exuding his spiritual energy, his stern face and the aura of a veteran made him look menacing.

Three people followed behind him. Shale had a different image from what he saw during his training. Shale was properly wearing his uniform, similar to Oscar. However, his body wasnʼt big enough to create that kind of aura Oscar was exuding.

However, there was one person who was even bigger than Oscar. It was the captain of the Demon Spear Squad, Captain Drente. He was wearing black sunglasses and a similar uniform, but unlike Oscar and Shale, his jacket hung around his shoulders. His sleeves were rolled up.

Coupled with the scars all over his body and the big brown cigarette in his mouth, he felt like a beast instead of a human.

Last but not least, Clara had become thinner since the last time he saw her. However, he noticed that the spiritual energy in her had increased drastically.

It was as if she had realized that the situation didnʼt look good and prioritized her own growth instead of work.

Noel could see a couple of familiar faces, especially on the Demon Relief Squad, but he couldnʼt really greet them.

Oscar brought these three to show his image as the commander of the Demon Banner Army so no one could look down on him.

But Noel wasnʼt losing either. After all, he couldnʼt lose face even to the army or the northern lords might show some dissatisfaction.

Noelʼs face remained calm. He lacked an intimidating aura since his build was much smaller than Oscarʼs, but his confident face and abundant spiritual energy felt suffocating.

This time, he brought several noteworthy figures. The first person was definitely the captain of his army, Howard. With his big, muscular body, he wouldnʼt be lacking compared to Oscar or Drente.

In addition, there was a man covered in clothes. His face was covered with a cat mask and all kinds of his facial features were tucked neatly underneath his hood.

Despite not showing much spiritual energy or strength, people could feel danger from his gaze.

Oscar didnʼt know why, but there was a sense of familiarity coming from this person.

The third person was the knight who had accompanied Noel the most, Grandel. While he hadnʼt reached grandmaster, Grandel was the closest person in the army to the grandmaster level. It shouldnʼt take long for Grandel to overcome that stage. In fact, Noel brought him here, hoping that he could advance to the next rank.

The fourth person was a woman. She was the first rune magician in history and was currently the head of Rune Squad, exclusive to the Ardagan family, Felicia.

While these four were strong enough, the strongest was actually the last person. Noel couldnʼt bring out a spirit transcendence such as Melissa or Rui, but he had one more person that fit the criteria. She was the current head of the Ardagan familyʼs navy, Incetta.

Although there were several others that wanted to come, such as the head of Internal Security, Colice, or the few captains Noel met during the sparring session, he could only bring this much and let the rest continue with their current mission.

Behind them were a total of two hundred people. With these two combining their strength, they would have five hundred elites marching toward the Supreme Devil Organizationʼs headquarters.

Noel and Oscar smiled as they extended their hands at the same time. ”Thank you for coming.”

”Weʼve come to take down the Supreme Devil Organization.” Oscar nodded.

”Indeed. Thatʼs why I have prepared them.” Noel pointed back.

Oscar could see several trucks at their rear. These trucks were modified slightly so that everyone could fit in.

”I want to have my people learn from you, but at the same time, you can have your people learn from mine. My people will drive the trucks. Each truck can bring about 30 people at once. Have your men sit beside my men in the front seat. Who knows, maybe the Demon Banner Army will need them in the future.” Noel grinned.

Of course, there were a few support trucks for supplies, so even Oscar couldnʼt reject the invitation.

”Heh. If itʼs really useful, we might order some soon from the Runegard Company.” Oscar had a smirk on his face.

Both of them then took a step back before turning around, ordering their men to do the same thing. ”Get ready!”

It was a collaboration that was observed by everyone in the kingdom. With the announcement of the Supreme Devil Organizationʼs subjugation, the 500 people from the combined force finally set out to the demon territory.
