System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1370: Review

While they were assembling the group, Noel was focusing on the charity. Still, there was one more important thing to do.

After the battle against the Supreme Devil, Noel kept wondering what kind of power the Supreme Devil had.

He locked himself up inside a room while recounting every single moment of that fight.

”He definitely was weaker than me in terms of spiritual energy reserve. However, he was able to use a much more powerful strike. The way he utilized spiritual energy was like Anna, who used to overwhelm me with her mastery.

”At the same time, I didnʼt notice any spirits, so the Supreme Devil was definitely a demonic human.” Noel paused for a moment. ”As a demonic human, his spiritual energy was corrupted. Even grandmasters could go beyond their level because of the demonic energy.

”Still, they would lose to someone who had got their transcendent path. In conclusion, the fact that the Supreme Devil could defeat me meant he had either a better mastery over the demonic energy or something similar to the king path.

”If itʼs the former, I should have been able to do something. If itʼs the latter, there might be something I can learn.

”Granted that I hadnʼt used the spirit transformation or True Spirit Body to fight them, but the demonic human…” Noel paused for a moment. ”Now that I think about it, Ardagan… Does a demonic human have anything as a trump card?”

[They are similar to demons, so basically, they can go berserk. Their spiritual energy will increase and their ferocity and other things will grow drastically.]

”I see.” Noel crossed his arms. ”I donʼt think the first possibility can be ruled out completely, but if Iʼm too fixated on it, I might not be able to find out my answer. In that case, how about reviewing what I have experienced so far…

”No. I should begin from the very beginning. In the end, growing stronger is like climbing a ladder. I have to start from the bottom and take one step at a time. At the same time, the path is straightforward and connected to each other.

”So, there might be some clues I can get from the beginning.

”The first step is the awakening of spirit, which allows one to officially become a Spirit Apprentice. Once they get used to the power of spirits, one can become a Spirit Practitioner. Of course, thereʼs also a spiritual energy threshold.

”This threshold is used to supply spiritual energy to their connection as well as bestowing them abilities.

”Spirit Wielder is the rank of efficiency. Once weʼve gotten used to utilizing our spiritual energy, we can adjust our state and our way of using the ability the spirit bestows us in our own way.

”Ultimately, spirits and humans are different, so we have to adjust the ability to suit our constitution.

”As for Spirit Master, itʼs a rank for assimilation. Itʼs the beginning of living like a spirit. By creating a spirit heart, one can accept more power from the spirit and have a higher affinity with spiritual energy.

”Although it doesnʼt increase oneʼs absorption rate, they can utilize more spiritual energy than ever. Hence, this rank is extremely important. A lot of people are stuck in this rank.

”The next step is the rank of fusion. Once a person becomes a spirit grandmaster, they have to create a spirit mind. It can be said that for a fighter, both the body and the mind are equally important.

”The spirit heart symbolizes the body while the spirit mind symbolizes the latter. In other words, the mind is controlling the body, allowing the user to release their power in a greater efficiency. It can be said that the people in this rank are masters of spirit abilities.

”Right now, Iʼm at spirit transcendence rank. In this rank, one has to utilize the power of nature.

”There is a lot of spiritual energy in nature that can be harnessed to release an even stronger power.

”However, itʼs easier said than done. To harness that power, one needs a transcendent path.

”The transcendent path might look simple, but itʼs not. On the one hand, it looks like a person only needs to figure out the way to utilize the power of nature to become a spirit transcendence, and this is actually the secret I reveal.

”However, this is not the real path. The actual path is related to the spirit. Itʼs the combination of assimilation and fusion.

”By assimilating with oneʼs spirit, they can harness the spiritual energy like a spirit. And by taking advantage of the fusion, theyʼre able to live like one.

”Hence, the transcendent path is basically making one as similar to a spirit as possible. Thatʼs why if they only focus on harnessing the spiritual energy from nature to become a spirit transcendence, they might not be able to advance after becoming one.

”On the other hand, by following the transcendent path, they will understand their spirits even more, which will become the foundation of their body and also the spirit to grow further.

”Last but not least, the spirit king… Itʼs actually still a mystery to me. Even though I already have enough ena to be called a spirit king, Iʼm lacking one last step required to officially become a spirit king.

”That step will allow me to harness an even stronger power and fully utilize the ena in my body.

”With that king path, my ancestor was able to cut a mountain and turn it into a lake.

”And the Supreme Devil seemed to harness a similar power. That was how he overpowered me. But what was it?” Noel furrowed his eyebrows.

He recounted the way the Supreme Devil utilized his weapon and energy, but he couldnʼt find anything unusual. It was true that the Supreme Devil utilized his power smoothly, but it looked as if there was no difference between them.

”This is weird…” Noel paused for a moment while taking out a small cube that his ancestor entrusted him as a test to become a spirit king. He couldnʼt help but wonder if he could find another clue from this box.
