Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 220: Chapter 166: Big and Small

Soon, the pineapple sticky rice was also ready.

Naoki took it out of the rice cooker, and as he looked down, he noticed its effect was identical to that of the pineapple sweet and sour pork.

[Pineapple Sticky Rice (B+): Made with freshly picked pineapples and sticky rice.

Cooking Effect: Glow, when fed to a Pokemon, the Pokemon has a chance to learn the Glow move, and their entire body will light up, lasting for 30 minutes.

Evaluation: The fragrance of the pineapple is well integrated into the sticky rice, sweet and soft, it’s a dish full of tropical flavor.]

”Not bad.”

Naoki planned to distribute it to a few Pokemon later.

As for what’s next, it’s time for the pumpkin.

Making pumpkin pancakes is much simpler than making pineapple sweet and sour pork.

While recalling the recipe for pumpkin pancakes in his mind, Naoki peeled, seeded, and washed the large pumpkin, sliced it, and steamed it until cooked.

During the wait, Naoki kept the pumpkin seeds separate, planning to roast them later so as not to waste them.

Soon, the pumpkin was steamed, and Naoki found a mixing bowl to mash the soft pumpkin into a puree with a rolling pin.

Next, he added some sticky rice flour and white sugar to make dough. Once fully blended, he could proceed to the next step.

— Take some pumpkin rice dough, roll it into balls, then flatten them; this entire pumpkin made a total of thirty-two pumpkin pancakes.

Finally, fry these pumpkin pancakes in oil until golden, then remove and let them cool on a plate.

Looking at the golden-crispy pumpkin pancakes lying on the white porcelain plate, information about this dessert appeared in Naoki’s mind.

[Pumpkin Pancake (A): Made with fresh pumpkin, sticky rice flour, and white sugar.

Cooking Effect: Size Adjustment, after consumption, you can change your body size at will, not exceeding the limit, with only three transformation chances, after which you’ll return to your original size.

Evaluation: Golden and crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside, with the fragrance of pumpkin, it’s a very soft and sticky snack.]

Hmm? Size Adjustment?

Seeing this effect, Naoki couldn’t help but imagine the scenes of Koraidon, Cyclizar, Gogoat, and other Pokemon turning into giant monsters dozens of meters tall after eating this pumpkin pancake.

The next second, Naoki opened his eyes wide.

What does this mean?!

It means he can now artificially create Dynamax Pokemon!

Even more astonishing, the description doesn’t specify it’s only effective for Pokemon, does this mean humans can use it too?

Naoki’s heart began to race.

With curiosity, he picked up a still-warm pumpkin pancake, blew on it a bit, and ate it in a couple of bites.

Naoki silently commanded in his heart.

Immediately, his body began to grow larger, nearly touching the ceiling. Naoki quickly shouted to stop.

He awkwardly glanced down at his current self, estimating in his mind that he was now about two and a half meters tall.

Fortunately, there were no Pokemon in the room, otherwise, they might have been startled.

”It’s not just the height that increased, it seems that all parts scaled proportionally with the height.”

While Naoki was experiencing his current form, he pondered the pumpkin pancake’s effect.

Looking down at his body, Naoki’s old face blushed, and then he silently thought: ”Shrink.”

Quickly, he returned to his normal size.

Naoki breathed a sigh of relief, moved his neck, and internally evaluated: Ridiculous effect!

However...

Naoki suddenly thought of that gigantic Dragonite beneath Dragonite Island.

If fed these pumpkin pancakes, could it become a normal-sized Dragonite?

”We could try it out in the afternoon.”

But for now, it’s time for lunch.

Naoki went outside to call the Pokemon and brought the pineapple sweet and sour pork, pineapple sticky rice, and pumpkin pancakes to the table.

He also made a few sandwiches.

As lunch was served, Koraidon and the other Pokemon started to dig in heartily.

However, as the first piece of meat was eaten, all the Pokemon began to glow with a dazzling white light.

”Vee?!”

Glaceon was shocked, Cyclizar looked confused, Dragonite showed a happy expression, and Koraidon remained indifferent.

Seeing their reactions, Naoki explained with a smile:

”Eating the meat and pineapple here will make your bodies glow, for about half an hour.”

Dragonite was surprised: ”Rawr?”

Naoki nodded: ”That’s right, it’s a dish made from those glowing pineapples.”

”Rawr?”

Dragonite suddenly remembered there seemed to be a pumpkin that could enlarge and shrink.

It glanced at the row of golden, crispy pancakes on the white porcelain plate in front of it.

What about this? What magical effect does it have?

”Uh...” Recalling what had just happened, Naoki suddenly didn’t know whether to explain.

He hesitated for a moment, then said: ”I’ll tell you after you finish eating.”

At least not during a meal, otherwise if any Pokemon suddenly wants to grow large and tears off the roof, that would be troublesome.

Upon hearing this, led by Dragonite, the Pokemon quickly sped up their eating.

Seeing them finish, Naoki led them to a reasonably spacious field in the ranch.

Looking at the expectant Pokemon in front of him, he cleared his throat and said: ”Now, in your mind, think: [I want to grow bigger]!”

”Rawr?”

Initially, Dragonite was confused, but soon it discovered its body was starting to grow larger!

Dragonite’s face showed a shocked expression.

Naoki shouted: ”You can control it! As long as you think to stop, the change will automatically stop!”

Indeed, as he said, Dragonite’s form quickly ceased changing and stabilized at roughly six meters, as tall as a two-story building.

Seeing its posture, Alcremie followed suit, marveling at its transforming body.

Cyclizar and Pawmo followed closely, while Glaceon hesitated a bit.

Yet Koraidon was the most surprising.

Because it managed to shift to a size similar to Pikachu on its own!

Naoki raised his eyebrows in surprise.

Koraidon seemed quite pleased: ”Aga Sss!”

It ran up to Naoki, looking up at him.

”What do you want?” Naoki asked.

Koraidon stretched out its arms as if asking for a hug.

Naoki: ”...”

He reached out and picked Koraidon up, letting it stand on his shoulder like Pikachu.

Then, he looked up at the other enlarged Pokemon and said:

”Be careful not to get too big and wreck the ranch, and remember, you have three transformation chances, you can grow or shrink as you wish, once the last one is used up, you’ll revert to your original form.”
