Chapter 209: Chapter 159: The Guardian God of Dragon Island Is Born!

Truly simple and honest.

However, the excellent Dragonite beside her proves that this person is anything but ordinary.

Her mind was filled with countless thoughts, but she didn’t show it and started to talk about serious matters.

”Do you know that enormous Dragonite? Can you get it to leave the Paldea Region?”

Naoki wasn’t sure: ”I can try.”

That was enough.

Geeta nodded slightly, she signaled to Tulip to release Gardevoir and said to Naoki, ”This Gardevoir can use Telepathy, it can help you communicate with that Dragonite.”

After a pause, she asked again, ”Is there anything else you need from us?”

Naoki shook his head: ”No, that will be fine.”

He glanced at the Gardevoir, assessing its special ability to be Telepathy.

Telepathy, a magical power that can directly sense human inner thoughts and convey its own intentions through the mind.

”Then I’ll leave it to you.”

Geeta nodded, then fell silent. She watched as the young man skillfully mounted Dragonite’s back and flew towards the ocean, thinking he truly was brave.

Even when she first saw the enormous Dragonite, it gave her a fright!

In fact, Naoki’s heart was far from as calm as it appeared on the surface.

He watched the sea dragon in awe, murmuring, ”It’s so big!” It’s really like a monster from Ultraman!

The Dragonite was equally stunned: ”Roar!”

It never thought there could be such a huge Dragonite in the world!

Naoki felt a terrifying aura, his heartbeat speeding up, and asked, ”Are you afraid?”

”Roar...” Dragonite’s eyes showed shock.

Gardevoir, however, followed calmly behind them.

Soon, they reached the enormous Dragonite.

The enormous Dragonite noticed them.

Upon seeing the Dragonite beneath the human, it was initially delighted but soon became confused.

How did its kin become so small?

The enormous Dragonite couldn’t figure it out.

It had slept in the ocean for ages, only to wake and find the world changed drastically.

Its companions and kin were all gone.

It searched for a long, long time but never found them.

”Roar?” The enormous Dragonite let out a puzzled sound.

Gardevoir translated, ”It says, ’Why are you so small?’”

Dragonite was a bit confused: ”Roar...”

It didn’t recognize this big fellow!

Seeing it not respond for a while, the enormous Dragonite blinked its huge eyes, growing more puzzled.

Looking at the massive face, Naoki cleared his throat and spoke:

”Hello, did Mew and Teddiursa bring you here?”

The enormous Dragonite’s pupils moved slightly, noticing the human on Dragonite.

Mew and Teddiursa... Its mind recalled those small figures, then nodded and let out a Hyper Voice: ”Roar.”

Gardevoir: ”Yes.”

Naoki observed this Dragonite, seeing how it seemed to regard Dragonite as a companion, but was puzzled why the companion became so small.

”Could it be that ancient Dragonites had such huge physiques?” Naoki wondered.

He pondered deeply, having two directions to choose from.

One was to tell this enormous Dragonite the truth, saying that times have changed! This is not the world you knew, where Dragonites are all very small.

The second was to deceive this pure enormous Dragonite, trying to make it regard modern Dragonites as companions.

Which one to choose?

After contemplating, Naoki tentatively asked, ”Have you noticed any differences between you two?”

Hearing this, the enormous Dragonite carefully observed Dragonite and then said: ”Roar.”

Gardevoir: ”Exactly the same, it is a Dragonite.”

Naoki: ”...”

Oh well, instead of letting the enormous Dragonite continue to wander aimlessly in the sea alone, better to give it a home.

Thinking of this, Naoki said, ”There are other Dragonites in this world, I can take you to find them and live with them, would you like to go?”

Upon hearing this, a gleam of light sparked in the enormous Dragonite’s eyes.

”Roar?”

Gardevoir: ”There are other Dragonites?”

Naoki nodded: ”Yes, many many.”

Like a child, the enormous Dragonite cheered, its eyes shining brighter: ”Roar!”

This time, even without Gardevoir’s translation, Naoki understood its meaning.

He nodded, saying, ”Then follow me, I’ll lead you to them!”

The enormous Dragonite readied to follow.

Naoki then thanked Gardevoir.

Gardevoir nodded gently, then turned and left, returning to Tulip by the shore.

”Let’s go to Dragon Island and introduce it to everyone!” Naoki said.

”Roar!” Dragonite responded and immediately led the way.

The enormous Dragonite turned around, following them and gradually leaving the Paldea Region.

The people on the shore, including Geeta, watched this unfolding scene, involuntarily breathing a sigh of relief.

The crisis was averted, time to wrap up and go home!

————

The Paldea Region behind them slowly faded away, disappearing from view.

Naoki rode Dragonite flying in the sky, while the enormous Dragonite was entirely submerged in the sea, turning into a massive shadow swimming beneath.
