Chapter 212: Chapter 160: Beneath Dragon Island

A large number of normal sea fish live in this area, and they gathered together, seemingly sensing the presence of predators, and immediately swam farther away.

Holding Dragonite by the neck, Naoki dove into the sea with it.

The gigantic Dragonite was just ahead, like a giant sea monster, swimming towards deeper waters, eventually reaching beneath the island, where it lay down, closed its eyes, and began to sleep.

The Dragonites watched this scene, and only after the gigantic Dragonite fell asleep did they return to the shore one by one.

Although it was unclear what the gigantic Dragonite said, from its and the Dragonites’ reactions, it seemed it was tired and wanted to get a good sleep.

Naoki asked his Dragonite for confirmation, ”Did it just say that it’s going to sleep?”

The Dragonite nodded its big head, ”Grrr!”

Naoki remarked, ”I thought so.”

The Dragonite added, ”Grrr, grrr.” And that’s not all!

In its mind, the words of the gigantic Dragonite appeared.

It said, ”I’m tired, I’m going to sleep, and I’ll play with you all after I wake up!”

It said, ”If any baddies hurt you or threaten the island, just wake me up, and I’ll give them a good lesson.”

The Dragonites thought it would go to the depths of the sea to sleep, but unexpectedly, it went nowhere, just beneath Dragonite Island.

Unfortunately, Naoki didn’t understand what the Dragonite was saying.

He just pondered whether the gigantic Dragonite needed to eat.

Berries? Fish shoals in the sea? Or maybe, like Groudon and Kyogre, it doesn’t need food and can survive on natural energy?

The answer to this question might have to wait until the gigantic Dragonite wakes up.

With the gigantic Dragonite issue perfectly resolved, Naoki and Dragonite began to bid farewell to the dragons on Dragon Island.

The Dragonites, Dragonairs, and Dratinis all had faces full of reluctance to part, with many wanting to step forward and go home with Naoki, but were glared back by Dragonite.

Naoki noticed their little actions and couldn’t help but smile, ”Alright, we’ll visit again next time; we’ll stop here for now! See you later!”

Naoki waved at the group of Dragonites, and under their reluctant gazes, rode Dragonite to begin the return journey.

Dragonite Island gradually disappeared behind them over the sea, and Naoki reflected on everything that happened today, thinking he might well be considered a human friend of Dragonite Island by now?

After all, that group of Dragonites quite liked him.

However...

Today’s events were really quite frightening.

The surprise almost turned into shock.

If the gigantic Dragonite’s temperament had been a bit more aggressive and it had forcefully broken through the Paldea League’s defenses to land, it would surely have resulted in a very fierce battle.

It’s unknown how strong the real-world head champion Geeta is, and whether she could suppress the gigantic Dragonite.

After using Agility and Extreme Speed, Dragonite’s speed reached a very outrageous degree.

Soon, they arrived in the Paldea Region.

Naoki intended to return directly to the ranch but noticed someone waiting for him on the Paldea West Coast.

Compared to before, the League line of defense on this coast had been withdrawn, and Miss Jenny, along with a group of reporters and Tulip, had all left.

Only a helicopter was left on the entire beach, and Geeta stood by the helicopter, looking at the sky.

Naoki intended to pretend not to see and fly away, but from a distance, he saw Geeta wave to him from the ground.

Seeing this, he had no choice but to land Dragonite there.

Geeta glanced up and down at the young man in front of her, noticing his clothes were half-dry and half-wet, most likely from going into the sea.

She spoke, ”It seems the problem has been resolved. On behalf of the Paldea League, I thank you.”

Naoki casually replied, ”It’s nothing; since it started because of me, it’s only right for me to solve it.”

Hearing this, Geeta nodded, thinking this Trainer had a rather nice personality.

She then asked, ”May I ask where that gigantic Dragonite went?”

”Somewhere it should be.”

Naoki saw the unease in Geeta’s heart, paused, and continued, ”Rest assured, it won’t come to the Paldea Region again.”

”That’s all I needed.” Then Geeta shifted the topic, ”I guess you haven’t participated in a Gym challenge yet?”

Naoki was slightly taken aback, then shook his head, ”Not yet.”

Geeta: ”Are you interested in attending the Paldea Academy? Start there by taking on Gym challenges and becoming the Paldea Champion.”

Now Naoki understood; Geeta was treating him as talent and thought of recruiting him.

He had no doubt that once he achieved these goals, Geeta would try to pull him into the Pokemon League to work.

Just like poor sales department employee Larry, who served as both a Gym Leader and an Elite Four, and from long-term exhaustion, always seemed somewhat out of breath when speaking.

He didn’t want that kind of life; living peacefully was the real deal.

Naoki declined without a second thought, ”No need, I quite prefer being a farmer.”

He didn’t forget to pitch his farm products to this head champion:

”Oh, by the way, Champion, if you get the chance, you could buy some milk and vegetables from me; they’re very fresh!”

When the Dragonite Delivery Company is established, he would use Geeta as a spokesperson; if the head champion eats his farm’s carrots, would there be any worry about not selling them?

When the livestreaming industry takes off, he could start streaming to sell products, selling his farm products through online shopping via the Dragonite Delivery Company throughout the Paldea region.

The image of himself holding a big sign with ”Farm Products Not Selling, Help Us” came to Naoki’s mind.

No, that’s too embarrassing.

Naoki shook his head internally, shaking off these messy thoughts.

Geeta: ”...”

She had never encountered such a Trainer before and for a moment didn’t know what to say.

After pondering for quite a while, Geeta hesitated and nodded once, politely saying, ”If I have the chance, I’ll give it a try.”

Geeta was still quite young at that time, and her control over her facial expressions wasn’t as good, far from the maturity and experience she showed in the games.

Naoki found it amusing but said nothing more, turning to mount Dragonite and bidding farewell to her as he began the return trip.

When he returned to the ranch, it was already four in the afternoon.

Naoki patted the heads of Koraidon, Cyclizar, and other Pokemon that came to greet him, intending to go inside for a drink of water, when he suddenly noticed Naclstack playing on the grass.

He went over and asked, ”Have you checked out your new home yet? It’s already built.”

”Stack?”

A few Pokemon looked puzzled, seemingly unaware of this.

Naoki couldn’t help but facepalm, saying helplessly, ”Alright, I’ll take you to have a look, follow me!”

He led the Naclstack and Nacli into the Salt House, down a path leading to the Underground Cave.

Looking at the wide space, the four Naclstack and Nacli were full of surprise and excitement.

”Nacl! Nacl!”

”Stack～”

”Like it?” Naoki laughed.

In the summer, when the surface is extremely hot, this cave remains cool, much loved by those cave-dwelling Pokemon.

He walked to the edge of the underground lake and said:

”There’s water here, so you can drink if you’re thirsty. I’ll install feeder bowls here later, and I’ll put your favorite Rock Salt Fried Soil and savory food inside.”

Saying so, Naoki went up with Koraidon to move the feed bowls originally installed in the Salt House down and placed them in the cave, filling them with fried soil and savory food.

The Naclstack and Nacli were not hungry yet, wandering around the Underground Cave, seemingly getting familiar with the environment.

Watching this, Naoki suddenly felt they were like the little moles in fairy tales, establishing an underground kingdom.

He yawned, feeling a bit weary, and after bidding farewell to Nacli and Naclstack, turned and returned to the house.

Naoki first took a sip of water, then glanced at the old wall clock and saw it was still early, so he flopped onto the bed and said to Koraidon, who followed him in:

”I’m going to take a nap; you go outside and play with Dragonite and the others!”
