Chapter 211: Chapter 160: Beneath Dragon Island

The first encounter with the giant Dragonite was a very novel event for the group of Dragonite living on Dragonite Island.

Initially, they felt some fear in their hearts and only dared to watch from afar, not daring to approach.

But soon, they discovered that the giant Dragonite had no ill intentions and just wanted to befriend them.

Thus, a large group of Dragonite began to try to make contact with the giant Dragonite; some ran onto its back, while others flew around it several times, wanting to see how big it really was.

Naoki, along with a group of Dratini and Dragonair, and a few Dragonite attracted by food, sat by the lakeshore watching the scene above.

”The giant Dragonite must be very happy right now, right?” he couldn’t help but think.

The Dragonite’s appetites were huge, and soon that pile of snacks was devoured completely by the group of Dragonite, Dratini, and Dragonair.

Dragonair, still wanting more to eat, looked over with hopeful eyes, uttering a soft growl: ”Ooh...”

Naoki: ”...”

He shrugged helplessly: ”There’s none left. I brought all the food from home this time.”

A look of disappointment appeared on the faces of the group of Dratini and Dragonair.

Seeing them like this, Naoki thought for a moment and said, ”I’ll bring more next time I come over.”

As expected, after he said this, the group of little ones let out a cheer, filled with joy and anticipation.

”Ooh~!”

”A bunch of little gluttons,” Naoki placed one Dragonair on his lap and tickled its belly.

Dragonair squirmed as he tickled it, letting out squeals to the point of tears almost coming out.

Once it regained its ability to move, it immediately dashed off, hiding in the lake, only exposing its head and refusing to let Naoki touch its belly.

Naoki chuckled, unbothered, and instead reached out to catch the somewhat timid pink Dratini.

The last time he came, this little one was still very afraid of him, but maybe the snacks had bridged the gap between them, as this time it was noticeably better.

Naoki’s mind wandered to a rumor he’d heard in his previous life.

It is said that Shiny Pokemon are very unwelcome in the community because their body color is an oddity to other Pokemon, possibly seen as ugly and thus isolated.

He looked at the other Dratini and Dragonair and asked:

”Do you think it’s cute?”

Upon hearing this, the group of Pokemon all turned their attention to this unique companion.

”Ooh~”

A Dratini came over and affectionately rubbed the Shining Dratini’s cheek, their relationship appearing very close.

The other Dratini and Dragonair did not show any signs of disgust but looked on cheerfully.

Seeing this scene, Naoki couldn’t help but feel emotional.

Obviously, in this group of Dragonite living on Dragon Island, that guess was not established.

Although their personalities differ, all of them are kind, gentle, and helpful.

Naoki took a deep breath and then lay down on the grass, his gaze passing through the dense circle of trees, looking at the sky overhead.

In the azure sky, white clouds float, the golden sun shines, making it almost impossible to open one’s eyes. When the sea breeze blows, the hot air spreads in all directions.

Luckily, tall and dense tree clusters grow around Dragonite Island, perfectly keeping the high temperatures outside, making the Lake of the Moone in the center of the island seem like an idyllic paradise.

With the shade of trees, fertile soil, perhaps influenced by the energy released by Dragonite, vegetation on this island grows particularly lush, and Berries are particularly large and plump.

The Dragonite really chose a good place to live!

Making him want to come here often for vacations in the future.

Naoki lay on the grass while the Dratini and Dragonair around him played on their own.

They chased each other, ran into the lake with a splash, then left the lake, rushing into the dense tree clusters.

This might just be the daily life of this group of Pokemon?

Naoki did not feel bored; instead, he found it very leisurely and interesting.

Suddenly, a sound of a giant creature entering the water came from outside the island.

Naoki sat up abruptly from the ground, looked around, and then ran to the eastern cliff of the island with a group of equally curious Dragonite and Dragonair.

At this time, the adult Dragonite of the island were all gathered here, including his own Dragonite.

The waves continuously crashed against the steep cliff, and the Dragonite collectively watched the scene in the sea.

”Roar!”

The giant Dragonite showed a trace of fatigue on its face, it let out a melodious roar towards the Dragonite on the island, and then gradually submerged into the sea, disappearing from sight.

Seeing this, the Dragonite also plunged into the water one after another.

Naoki, puzzled, also wanted to follow and take a look.

He looked up at the sky and called out to Dragonite, immediately, beams of light from all around focused on him.

Naoki: ”...”

”Awoo!” Dragonite proudly flew to Naoki, boasting to its old mates: ”Awoo!” He’s calling me! Not you guys!

All Dragonite: ”...”

”Take me down to have a look!” Naoki flipped onto Dragonite’s back, and immediately plunged into the sea with its guidance.

Luckily, he learned to swim in a previous life, which came in handy at this moment.

At the moment of entering the water, all surrounding sounds seemed to vanish.

Familiar things disappeared without a trace, replaced by a more expansive azure world before his eyes.
