Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 843: Chapter 642: Acting Alone

The broadcast of the trailer for the fourth plan has garnered global attention and fervent discussion.

This mission concerns the lives of tens of millions of people.

Residents of 31 cities are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the rescue team.

Before the broadcast, relevant departments from various countries had already contacted the recruits immediately, just as they were discussing the rescue and transfer plan, the Avengers Alliance silently left the camp without informing anyone.

...

”Still can’t make contact?”

In the assembly hall, Zhou An listened to his subordinate’s report and couldn’t help but furrow his brow.

Yundong City belongs to Hua Country and is located on its border, needing Hua Country’s cooperation with the Avengers Alliance’s actions.

But when they contacted Lin Feng, Lin Feng directly stated that he did not need their help, and now he has lost contact and disappeared.

”What about the others?”

”Also unreachable, their phones are directly turned off.”

”What on earth are they doing?”

”Young people are still too impulsive. This rescue mission involves millions of lives; it’s not child’s play.”

”Still as always, not playing by the rules!” People discussed among themselves with a solemn expression.

Clearly, the Avengers Alliance plans to act alone.

This rescue mission is a hell-level difficulty; even with help from the rescue team, the success rate is very low, let alone the Avengers Alliance acting single-handedly.

The uncooperative and arrogant attitude of Lin Feng and others has also caused dissatisfaction among some people.

The whole world is watching this rescue mission; if it fails, it won’t just be the Avengers Alliance losing face, but also Hua Country.

They acknowledge the strength of the Avengers Alliance, but a rescue isn’t just simple combat; all aspects need consideration. Strength alone doesn’t guarantee success.

In the King Becoming plan, there are fourteen teams of recruits, only the Avengers Alliance doesn’t cooperate.

”Perhaps they have already set out,” Xie Chun speculated.

”What’s there to worry about? Isn’t the result the same?”

Compared to everyone’s seriousness and anxiety, Hong Tao said calmly.

In his view, Yundong City has no hope.

Before the rescue team arrives at Yundong City, the Abnormal People would slaughter all the residents inside, and the city could even disappear.

And this can be accomplished with a few soul skills in just a minute.

No matter how meticulous the rescue plan, no matter how strong the rescue team, it’s meaningless.

This is fundamentally a dead end.

At this moment, the Abnormal People might have already prepared to massacre the city.

”Keep trying to contact them.”

Zhou An glanced at Hong Tao, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes, but he didn’t say much.

Hong Tao is Extraordinary, while Zhou An is just an Upper Rank Spirit King; his status does not permit him to scold Hong Tao.

He actually understands that what Hong Tao says is the truth.

But after all, it’s the lives of millions; no matter the outcome, they must try their best. Only then can they feel at ease.

Only then can they give an explanation to the citizens.

He was silent for a while before speaking, ”Temporarily ignore the Avengers Alliance; let’s first formulate a rescue plan and send a rescue team to Yundong City.”

.....

While Hong Tao and the others were speculating where the Avengers Alliance went, Lin Feng and his group stood outside a massive city.

”Aoyu City.”

Lin Feng looked at the three alien words at the city gate and slowly read aloud.

He was wearing a black tracksuit, with some red stains at the cuff, from the blood splattered during his killing spree after entering the Space Gate of [Aoyu].

The nine-star level [Aoyu] Space Gate was named after this city.

On the way here, they killed hundreds of Abnormal People, and after two hours, they arrived at this city.

”What a huge city,”

Hong Yi exclaimed, his expression tinged with excitement.

Since becoming a Spirit Medium, except for occasional outings every few months to develop the Space Gate, he mostly stayed in Shangjing, confined in a steel cage.

Even after joining the Avengers Alliance, he remained hidden in a closed room.

For Hong Yi, being able to go out, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the scenery along the way was a very happy thing.

What’s more, he got to do it with many companions.

”What do we do now? Just kill them all?” Yu Qiao asked.

”Warn them first, let’s see the situation before deciding,” Lin Feng replied.

Upon learning Yun Dong City was already under the control of the Abnormal People, Lin Feng did not consider how to rescue Yun Dong City.

Nor did he devise any plan.

The Abnormal People deeply resent them.

If they don’t go to rescue, the city’s residents might survive; if they go, the Abnormal People will surely massacre the city.

Before their arrival, they would undoubtedly see corpses everywhere.

To save Yun Dong City, Abnormal People must be made to retreat voluntarily.

To make them retreat, they must be even more ruthless than the Abnormal People.

This is an era of competing ruthlessness.

The nine-star level Space Gate permits kings to enter but suppresses them.

They just became kings; the suppression isn’t very strong, so they are still invincible here.

”There are Humans!”

”It’s Lin Feng!”

On the city walls, an Abnormal Person soon spotted their figures, and one of them hurriedly rang the hanging ancient bell.

”Dong, dong, dong!”

The dull and deep ancient bell resounded, as more and more Abnormal People appeared atop the walls. Originally filled with anger and murderous intent, their expressions turned solemn and fearful upon recognizing Lin Feng and the others.

On the Divine Martial Continent, no one was unfamiliar with Lin Feng and Yun Kai.

Their names on the continent were synonymous with demons.

No exaggeration, their reputation was bigger than even the Human Race Emperors.

Their hands were stained with more Abnormal People’s blood than any Human Race.

Amidst the eyes of panic, Lin Feng fluttered his Dragon Wings, soaring up the walls, followed closely by Yun Kai and the others. The atmosphere grew silent as the Abnormal People exchanged glances, seemingly unsure of what to do.

”Kill them.”

An Abnormal Man wielded his sword, roaring, but before his words finished, his figure vanished, reappearing beside Yun Tianqi, a beam of blue light flashed, blood spurted, and his head rolled to the ground.

Lin Feng was surrounded by Abnormal People.

He looked around; the Abnormal People retreated in fear, not daring to attack him.

Yun Kai and the others landed on the city wall.

In the fearful eyes of the Abnormal People, Lin Feng slightly opened his mouth, spitting out bubbles that shimmered with mirroring light, becoming more numerous, transforming into Dragon Fish that flapped their wings, flying into the city.

”The Avengers Alliance hereby vows, if one person dies in Yundong City, we’ll kill one hundred of yours; if Yundong City is destroyed, we’ll massacre one hundred cities!”

Lin Feng’s voice, filled with chilling murderous intent, echoed throughout the city, accompanied by deafening explosions shaking the ground, buildings collapsing, millions of Abnormal People inside the city looked towards the city gate direction, pale-faced, bodies trembling...
