Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 822: Chapter 624: Taking a Stand!

The third plan is over, and as per tradition, there will be a banquet that evening.

It’s both a celebration and a farewell.

Early the next morning, all eliminated trainees must leave the camp, making this their final gathering here.

Though it’s a party, those about to be eliminated looked dejected and melancholic.

Obviously, they are in no mood for socializing.

Few went to console or comfort them.

Victory goes to the king, no words needed.

Managing to persist until now is already a success.

In past banquets, Alex and Nikita were the main protagonists.

But this time, it was the Avengers Alliance.

Though the Avengers Alliance played smart this time, avoiding strong confrontations to become the biggest winner of the third plan, without strength, even a perfect plan is futile.

Eliminating the team of Kitahara Sonosuke, whose comprehensive strength was recognized as third, sufficiently proves the strength of Lin Feng and his group.

Moreover, only four in the Avengers Alliance became kings.

In the King Becoming plan, students are both competitors and potential friends.

Those who come here have extraordinary talent, strength, or background.

Such connections are invaluable.

That’s why many trainees, knowing they can’t become kings, still come at great expense.

There are many trainees who want to befriend Lin Feng and his group, often coming over to chat and exchange contact information.

At this moment, Lin Feng and his group were surrounded by twenty to thirty trainees, becoming the focal point of the banquet.

”Alright, let’s keep in touch if there’s a chance.”

Lin Feng smiled and extended his right hand to shake hands with a middle-aged man with the strength of a Spirit King.

Although he didn’t like such social engagements, he didn’t refuse them either.

Connections can sometimes be more intimidating than strength.

”Alex is coming.”

Dong Yunan quietly reminded.

Following her gaze, Lin Feng saw Alex, in a pure white suit and with long blonde hair, walking towards them from twenty to thirty meters away.

Centered around Alex were seven people.

They were also popular trainees.

”Could he be here to cause trouble?”

Yu Qiao speculated.

This time, Alex’s team only obtained nine fire banners, ranking second in fire banners.

If it weren’t for the havoc caused by the Avengers Alliance, the number would have been at least double, possibly even twice as much, which means a considerable loss.

Nine fire banners total 1,800 points, and if distributed evenly, that’s only 90 points each, not enough to trade for anything valuable.

Of course, points can be traded.

Under everyone’s gaze, the handsome and aristocratic Alex approached Lin Feng, lifting his wine glass slightly to indicate before speaking: ”Today, because of your interference, we suffered such a big loss, what do you say about that?”

With just one sentence, the atmosphere became subtly tense.

Dong Yunan and He Jun’s faces tightened, their expressions turning serious.

Faced with the legendary Child of Light, they couldn’t stay calm.

Alex not only has strength but also has a background supported by the Extraordinary.

”That’s something that can’t be helped, as I have yet to become a king, I need to speed up.”

Lin Feng smiled, unbothered.

He didn’t sense any malice from Alex.

They were only competitors.

Becoming a king meant very few had impairments in intelligence.

With the current strength and potential of the Avengers Alliance, none of the kings would easily come to cause trouble.

This world doesn’t have many scenes of pretentiousness and face-slapping.

If there were, he would be the one doing the face-slapping.

”Your strength is much stronger than the average king, once you become a king, I’m afraid even I won’t be your match.”

Alex chuckled, ”Are you interested in joining the Sun Foundation?”

Lin Feng had heard of the Sun Foundation.

It is the most famous and probably the most powerful foundation globally.

It’s said to have a history of over a thousand years, with members from various countries, covering almost every domain.

It can be described as having wealth comparable to a nation.

The Zhan Family is wealthy, extremely wealthy, or else it wouldn’t have attracted Hong Tao’s attention, but even the Zhan Family cannot compare to the Sun Foundation.

Lin Feng, without beating around the bush, directly asked: ”What obligations and benefits are there to joining?”

”I like your straightforwardness.”

Alex took a sip of his red wine, then said: ”No obligations, no membership fees, rest assured, it really doesn’t cost money.”

Making a small joke, seeing that no one laughed, even if there was, it was a polite smile. Alex shook his head, slightly awkward, and said: ”The Sun Foundation is very free, every month it regularly releases certain tasks, members can choose freely. If joining feels unsuitable, they can also leave. The benefits are plenty, like shared information, any publications, and a fire banner!”

”Fire banner?”

Lin Feng looked a bit surprised.

What does this fire banner have to do with it?

He guessed why Alex said that but wasn’t sure.

”If you agree to join, a fire banner is your welcome gift.”

Alex said.

So generous?... This time, Lin Feng was a bit surprised.

A Fire Banner can be exchanged for 200 points.

If exchanged for items on the points exchange list, its value could exceed 50 billion New Coins.

This is still a conservative estimate.

It might even be higher.

Some rare resources cannot be bought with money, especially during this special period.

The first-ranked ”King Becoming” on the points exchange list requires 1,000 points, which equates to five banners.

If you use 250 billion New Coins for a chance to become a king, some forces would be tempted.

Only the King Plan could mobilize over ten Emperors to support others in becoming a king.

Such an opportunity is worth more than hundreds of billions.

At this moment, not only Lin Feng is surprised, but the teammates traveling with Alex are as well.

In the third plan, their team obtained nine Fire Banners.

Although Alex is strong and famous, he is just a member of the team.

He doesn’t have any special treatment.

He needs to spend real money to buy a Fire Banner from other students.

”How about it? If you feel it’s not suitable after joining, you can still withdraw, and you don’t need to return the welcome gift, just consider it making a friend.”

Alex asked.

This is not his decision; it was decided by his grandfather, who is also one of the three Extraordinary of the Sun Foundation.

In fact, for several Kings, or even ten Kings, it is not worth the Sun Foundation spending such a huge cost to recruit.

Many Kings want to join the Sun Foundation, but there has never been any welcome gift. You even have to pull strings, and go through an inspection and review to get in.

Only the Avengers Alliance can enjoy such treatment and qualification.

”Okay.”

Among the envious gazes, Lin Feng didn’t hesitate much and agreed.

Getting a Fire Banner for free, without obligations or mandatory requirements, what reason is there to refuse?

Just as Alex said, you can exit whenever you want.

Daring to become a candidate for Apostle, daring to join Pure Land, he naturally wouldn’t fear joining a foundation.

Nor worry about being unable to leave after joining.

”Good.”

Alex clinked glasses with Lin Feng, exchanged a few more pleasantries, and then took his leave.

”Lin Feng, are you interested in joining the New Era Alliance?”

After Alex left, some students came to chat and invited him, also offering a welcome gift, though not as generous as Alex’s, which Lin Feng politely declined.

The person was not annoyed, and after exchanging contact information, he left.

”Very popular!”

Alice approached with a wine glass, unhurried, smiling at everyone.

The third plan and the Avengers Alliance’s performance amazed and even shocked her.

As a mentor, she also didn’t know Lin Feng’s true strength.

This time was truly astonishing.

Her attitude towards Lin Feng and his group was like ordinary friends, without showing any mentor’s high stance.

”Master Alice.”

Everyone greeted, and after three months, they were quite familiar with each other.

”I’ve reported the materials you want to exchange for, but as for King Becoming preparations, it won’t be quick, it might take two or three days.”

Alice glanced at Lin Feng with some sentiment.

In a few days, Lin Feng would become a King. By then, she, as a mentor, would likely not be his match.

While proud of her student, she also felt enormous pressure.

”Mm.”

Lin Feng nodded in response.

After successfully defending and the end of the third plan, Lin Feng immediately found Alice to report some of the items he wanted to exchange for.

Resources are limited, first come, first served.

Faced with the soon-to-hand Life Soul Bird and the opportunity of King Becoming, he was also excited.

While everyone was chatting, the originally harmonious atmosphere suddenly became oppressive and heavy.

Unbeknownst to them, a figure over two meters tall, with a withered face and dressed in a black tailcoat, had already appeared in front of everyone.

The air was filled with a body odor that couldn’t be masked by perfume.

”Master Alfonso.”

No matter what they thought in their hearts, at this moment, everyone greeted respectfully.

This was respect for the mentor’s identity and awe for the Emperor’s power.

”Why is it that as soon as I appear, you all stop talking, am I that scary?”

Alfonso’s crimson pupils swept over everyone, although smiling as he asked, it felt chillingly cold and uncomfortable.

Without getting any response, he didn’t mind, his gaze circling on Alice and finally fixing on Lin Feng’s face: ”I heard you joined the Sun Foundation?”

”Yes.”

Lin Feng nodded, facing the Extraordinary’s gaze, he also felt the pressure.

”Are you considering joining my foundation?”

Alfonso asked again, his right hand gently resting on Alice’s shoulder, both had crimson eyes, making it easy to mistake them for father and daughter without knowing.

Lin Feng was silent.

Alice’s entire body stiffened, her face pale.

This wasn’t just a simple invitation.

This was demanding Lin Feng to take a stand!
