Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 137: Chapter 121: Suggestions

As the number of people gradually dwindled, those who could still remain on the Martial Arts Arena were the geniuses among hundreds. However, since it was a grand melee, it was naturally unavoidable that some less capable individuals could be found trying to fish in troubled waters.

But it cannot be denied that those who could still stand in the arena weren’t lacking in combat wisdom, in other words, they were very smart.

Although smart people are far from being as eye-catching and valued as geniuses, sometimes they go further than some foolish geniuses.

”Move aside, this spot is mine.”

As the hundred seats were unveiled, angry roars and reprimands echoed, and the battle sparked immediately.

For those truly capable of competing for a seat, at this moment, there was no longer any need to hide their strength or conserve their stamina.

They had already made a basic judgment of their own prowess and had a certain range and target for choosing seats, so conflicts erupted quickly.

”Go for it!”

The audience all stood up at this moment, letting out a tsunami-like cheer.

The cheers of a hundred thousand people made everyone’s blood boil.

In the blink of an eye, over a hundred people entered Demon Possession, creating a shocking scene. Simultaneously, various gifted skills erupted, creating a dazzling spectacle.

”Alright, it’s started. According to the pre-match arrangement, ensure there are no incidents with the seats each mentor is responsible for.”

On the main stage, Vice Dean Bu Zheng said seriously.

”Yes, rest assured, Dean Bu.”

The responsible mentors nodded, some adjusted their posture, some stood up with both hands on the ground, a faint glow swirling around them, and some directly entered the state of Demon Transformation, but without exception, the mentors began taking things seriously from their originally relaxed demeanor.

Even though the freshmen generally weren’t strong, even a First Grade Martial Artist, as long as no weapons were used, their fists and kicks, if not aimed at the head and heart or other fatal areas, basically wouldn’t result in major incidents, at most just injuries.

But for Demon Spirit Masters, the sharp claws after Demon Transformation are enough to easily tear through a person’s chest, not to mention the innate skills unique to a Demon Spirit have very strong lethality.

The distance from the main stage to the hundred seats was less than a hundred meters, and the mentors responsible for this task had means of remote control. If the freshmen faced any life-threatening danger during the intense battles, they would intervene instantly.

In the cheers, in just three minutes of battle, the number on the field was directly reduced by a third, with less than two hundred people left.

And among the hundred eliminated, some were carried out of the arena, some lay on the ground struggling in pain, dismembered limbs were not uncommon, making the scene somewhat bloody.

However, this bloody scene did not affect the enthusiasm of the audience present, instead, it made them more excited, their calls roaring like waves, one wave higher than another.

”Not going to make a move yet?”

Many in the audience continued to watch the direction of Lin Feng and others, but regardless of how intense the battle for seats became, the four of them remained in place, not making a move from start to finish.

It wasn’t just Lin Feng; even Ye Ming, Deng Chen, and Bai Ji, those acknowledged as the cream of the crop among the freshmen, those qualified to vie for the First Throne, hadn’t made a move.

At the moment, a third of the hundred seats were already occupied, almost all being the lower-ranked seats. The competition was actually fiercer for the seats in the back.

The rewards and treatment for the top ten seats significantly surpassed those of the subsequent rankings, while those for the top three were yet a notch above. Yet surprisingly, besides the eighth to tenth seats, the others had attracted no competition.

”There’s a good show to watch now, I wonder who will claim the First Throne?”

”The First Throne surely belongs to my family’s Emperor Kai. Haven’t you watched my Emperor Kai’s videos? Who among the freshmen can match his power and aura?”

”That’s just your assumption. I bet it’s Bai Ji. That guy has already eliminated over a hundred people on his own. Poison Beast Masters are monsters, and that guy is a monster among monsters!”

The audience looked forward eagerly, discussing among themselves.

Undoubtedly, everyone was most concerned about the ownership of the First Throne.

There was only one throne, and people habitually remembered the name of the person who came first.

Although they all craved the First Throne, no one wanted to make the first move and afterwards miss the opportunity for others to benefit.

No one had the absolute confidence to dominate their peers, not even Bai Ji, who single-handedly eliminated over a hundred people.

He wore a white robe, his limbs hidden within; his face was sickly pale, devoid of any blood. His frail appearance seemed as if a light wind could blow him over, yet no one dared approach, avoiding him like the plague.

No one wanted to be the early bird, hence all held their positions.

However, this stalemate was broken when the ninth and tenth seats were occupied, with the eighth seat soon to be decided.

”Brother Deng, we can’t delay any longer.”

In Deng Chen’s team, a young man couldn’t help but say.

Sitting on a seat doesn’t mean rest assured; one could still face challenges from others. If one’s strength isn’t sufficient or if one is physically exhausted, sitting too early might not be good.

However, there is a benefit: there is a package on the seat containing a Pill. The first to sit can quickly restore Qi and Blood and Soul Power, which is a considerable advantage.

At this moment, standing in the arena proved their strength, and everyone had a chance of succeeding.

With not much time left until the throne challenge ended, if they didn’t act soon, when most seats were occupied and the holders quickly restored their fighting capacity with Pills, they could easily be at a disadvantage.

”It’s too late, the seats are almost half gone.”

Another young man in sportswear scanned around, his eyes flickering slightly. When he saw that half of the seats were taken, he too seemed anxious.

He glanced at Deng Chen, and the latter gave no sign; he then pressed his foot to the ground and charged towards the 64th seat, during which his body began to transform.

As that young man left, those originally hesitant made their decisions too, without considering their captain or team, each rushing for their desired seat.

”Zhang Xin.” Deng Chen watched the departing young man, silently reciting his name, but said nothing.

Although he was the captain, his strength wasn’t much higher than the others. His major advantage was that his uncle was the Red Cloud Vice Dean. Coupled with his lavish means, he had intentionally built connections, luring some freshmen.

Currently, he hadn’t achieved absolute authority to have his team obey him, especially when it concerned the struggle for seats.

”This situation isn’t sustainable. With Zhang Xin gone, my team, including myself, still has seven people. Although we have a numerical advantage, if we delay, this advantage will soon be lost!” Deng Chen thought to himself.

Zhang Xin wasn’t the first to leave. Originally, his team had 15 people, half had already left to compete for seats, so Zhang Xin’s departure was within reason, leaving nothing to complain about.

A team of seven wasn’t considered small. Besides Ye Ming’s group of eight, his was the largest.

However, in this seven-member team, only two besides him truly had the strength to compete for a seat. If delayed, even these two might not hold back. As for the remaining four, two were weaker and knew their chances were slim, he promised them some conditions to assist him to the First Throne. The other two were family members, so he had no worries about them.

”I say, although it’s early, staying silent like this isn’t ideal. How about we discuss,”

Deng Chen stepped forward, breaking the silence.

”Discuss what?”

Ye Ming likewise stepped forward, smiling as he asked. Although he had a clear numerical advantage, like Deng Chen, delaying was unfavorable for him.

”Deng Chen, you aren’t suggesting we give up, are you? If you have that thought, I’d advise you not to say it!”

A young man in purple clothes, extremely handsome, shook his head.

If not for the Adam’s apple, it could be believed he was a woman. His fair skin and exquisite features were not out of place to describe as beautiful.

The young man named Bai Xiaoyun, only a Body Cultivator of the Ninth Rank, hadn’t attained Martial Artist yet, but inherited his family’s bloodline talent. Although no one had seen him fight or knew what his bloodline talent was, no one dared underestimate him.

Because every genius with bloodline talent had the qualifications to challenge across levels.

Yun Kai’s Ancestral Demonization was actually a kind of bloodline talent, only more advanced.

”Those who haven’t taken action yet likely are only interested in the top seven seats. But if we keep holding back like this, it’s likely some won’t even secure a seat at all. I propose that we first figure out which seats everyone wants and, if there’s competition, what are they willing to offer?” Deng Chen suggested, but no one responded. Everyone had different expressions, and seeing this, Ye Ming and others unconsciously glanced at Lin Feng and Yun Kai while speaking.
