Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 64: Chapter 58: In Your Dreams

In the sales hall, the actions of Jing Xiaotian’s sisters taking a photo with Lin Feng attracted some attention, but it wasn’t taken too seriously.

People just thought it was a couple of young girls taking a picture with a handsome guy.

But now, even a middle-aged man who appeared to be a successful person in his forties was excitedly taking a photo with the young man. The twenty-odd people originally viewing the houses and a dozen or so sales assistants, including two janitors, were drawn over.

”Is he a big celebrity? How come I don’t recognize him?”

”I know! He’s that Lin Feng who endorsed Huating Restaurant!”

”The Lin Feng who’s going to refine the Earth Chart’s Demon Spirit? The strongest high school student?”

”The Lin Feng of ’South Yeqiu, North Lin Feng’?”

”Hurry, take a picture and post it on Moments, everyone make way.”

”Mom, use my phone to take a picture of me, I heard Lin Feng is about to sign with Thunder, and it’s an S-level contract. He’s going to become a professional player soon, and our classmates will be so jealous if I get a photo with him.”

After discovering Lin Feng’s identity, the crowd was a bit restless.

Many fans were excited and thrilled, stepping forward to seek photos and autographs.

Of course, there were also many people who weren’t fans of Lin Feng, but affected by the atmosphere, they realized how rare it was to take a photo with a future professional Glory player, and eager to show off to their friends, they too were unwilling to lag behind, making the scene somewhat chaotic.

”Alright, take it easy, everyone, don’t push,” Lin Feng shouted loudly.

Even he hadn’t expected his popularity to be this high.

In fact, Lin Feng himself hadn’t realized that after endorsing Huating with a fee as high as 18 million, he was already considered a celebrity.

After all, everybody agrees that only celebrities can endorse advertisements.

The scene was quite chaotic. Finally, under the efforts of five strong security guards maintaining order, the onlookers lined up in an orderly queue to take turns getting Lin Feng’s autograph and photo.

”Lin Feng, are you also planning to buy in Tingfeng Garden?” a curious fan asked.

He had been hesitating about whether to buy in Tingfeng Garden, as there were two newly launched communities nearby, with both good location and environment.

But if Lin Feng was buying, then he would too.

If even a big celebrity was planning to buy here, why should he hesitate?

”No, I’m planning to look around more,” Lin Feng replied.

”Oh, then I won’t buy either. I’ll look around more too,” the male fan nodded.

Hearing this, many people who were planning to buy a house began to hesitate.

If Lin Feng wasn’t buying, was there something wrong with the community?

Or did he think it wasn’t worth it?

Were the prices too high?

Or were other communities better?

Indeed, buying a house is a major life decision; it’s always good to look around more.

After all, with Lin Feng’s endorsement fee of 18 million, he surely could afford Tingfeng Garden.

Outside the crowd, hearing the conversation between Lin Feng and the fans, the supervisor and manager of the sales office looked upset.

”Since Lin Feng came to the sales office, why didn’t he buy a house here?” the manager asked the sales supervisor, his tone severe.

With such a big commotion at the sales center, he naturally noticed it.

But he didn’t expect that, because of Lin Feng’s words, many of the customers who were ready to buy in the community were now thinking of giving up.

Tingfeng Garden isn’t hard to sell, but three months after launch, only about a third of the units have been sold. For developers, the faster the sale, the better.

And for a community, a good reputation is especially important.

With Lin Feng’s current popularity, probably no celebrity in Jiang City can compare.

If Lin Feng’s reluctance to buy affects the community’s reputation, although the house prices might not drop, it could very likely affect the speed of sales. After all, there are other high-selling communities around, not just Tingfeng Garden.

”I was organizing documents in the office earlier. Li said someone wanted to buy the 03 unit of the king of buildings and hoped for a discount on the loan, but I didn’t agree.” The sales supervisor’s face turned pale as he explained.

In fact, she hadn’t been in the office at the time, but in the lobby, only failing to recognize Lin Feng.

If she had recognized him, she wouldn’t have refused any discount.

”You...”

The manager wanted to lose his temper, but held back.

He knew it wasn’t the sales supervisor’s fault. After all, those were the rules.

After all the fans took their photos and signatures, Lin Feng finally let out a slight sigh of relief.

At this time, the crowd of fans hadn’t yet dispersed, and they were still continuously taking photos and videos to post on Moments.

”So tiring,” Lin Feng muttered to himself.

Being a celebrity really isn’t easy. Faced with enthusiastic fans, even if he was feeling a bit irritated, he still had to try hard to maintain a smile.

For Lin Feng, he’s not worried about losing fans, and doesn’t care about the celebrity title. It’s just that seeing how passionate and excited they were, he didn’t want to be cold and throw cold water on them.

It’s quite possible that a small gesture from him could affect someone’s mood for the day.

”Let’s go.”

Lin Feng waved to his family not far away. With this delay, it was already almost lunchtime.

Seeing Lin Feng and his family leave the sales office, the customers who had been lingering there hesitated for a moment before following in his footsteps.

”Mr. Chen, weren’t you about to sign the contract?”

”Ms. Li, hadn’t you decided?”

Many sales assistants quickly rushed up to inquire, but the response was that they were planning to look around more, and weren’t in a hurry.

It’s very clear that they were hesitating because Lin Feng didn’t buy, and were planning to give it more thought.

The sales manager couldn’t sit still at this time. He didn’t care about these few customers. If they didn’t buy, others naturally would. What he was afraid of was the news of Lin Feng not buying getting out and affecting the reputation of the neighborhood.

He even noticed that reporters had already appeared in the sales office.

”Mr. Lin Feng, please wait a moment.”

The sales manager hurriedly ran after Lin Feng. He came up to Lin Feng and anxiously said, ”The price is negotiable, could we talk about it in the office?”

”What’s there to talk about? Such an expensive house, we were preparing to buy two units, and you don’t even offer a discount. We won’t buy.” Lin Fang spoke first.

At this moment, she realized that her son was a celebrity, and such negotiation matters shouldn’t be handled by Lin Feng.

”Discounts, of course, there will be discounts.” The sales manager quickly said.

At this time, the surrounding crowd was unwilling to disperse, and those gazes put a lot of pressure on him.

Seeing the manager agree to a discount, Lin Fang’s eyes were filled with pleasant surprise, but she still calmly asked, ”Then how much of a discount?”

”Seventy percent, would a 70% discount work for you?”

Lin Fang and Old Ma exchanged a glance, both a bit surprised. They originally prepared to accept a 90% price, but now with a 70% discount, they’d save more than four million!

This is practically money earned for nothing.

If they didn’t want it anymore, they could sell it for a profit of over four million.

”Forget it, we plan to check out other neighborhoods, just to have more choices.” Old Ma shook his head and said.

It was only until just now that he realized that Lin Feng had truly become a star with many fans.

As a small clerk in a government department, Old Ma naturally understood the reason for the sales manager’s discount. It was nothing more than the fear that Lin Feng wouldn’t buy, affecting the reputation.

And if Lin Feng bought, relying on his current popularity, it would be equivalent to giving Tingfeng Garden free advertising.

Even at a 70% discount, it’s only over four million New Coins, not much, considering Lin Feng’s endorsement fees are as high as 18 million now.

”How about a 50% discount, could you do fifty percent?”

The sales manager wiped the sweat from his forehead.

”Let’s keep looking then.”

Old Ma resisted the excitement in his heart, pretending to hesitate for a while, and still refused.

Keep looking?

It’s already a 50% discount, equivalent to giving away a house for free, what else is there to look at?

The sales manager looked like he was about to cry, a 50% discount was already beyond his authorization. But if Lin Feng left, he knew his outcome would undoubtedly be miserable.

”Wait a moment, I’ll make a call, please wait for me! I’ll be back soon!”

The sales manager said while walking to a corner, took out his phone, and made a call. Two minutes later, he jogged back and said to Old Ma, ”Our company’s leadership really appreciates Lin Feng, so we’ll give you a 30% discount, and waive all property taxes.”

Upon hearing this, Old Ma could no longer hide the surprise in his eyes.

Thirty percent, meaning the two houses were a million cheaper, not to mention all property taxes were waived.

Even if they paid the full price now, it would only be more than four million.

Old Ma glanced at Lin Feng, Lin Feng smiled and nodded, only then did Old Ma say, ”Thank you so much, we want Units 2603 and 2803 in Building 1.”

”Great!”

Gao Hai clenched his fist excitedly at the side.

Lin Feng was going to buy him a house worth over seven million, though he was very touched, Lin Feng didn’t mind, but it was a significant pressure for him. Now, with a 30% discount, the price of a unit fell to two million, he felt a lot more relaxed suddenly.

”Alright, let’s sign the contract then.”

Both the sales manager and Gao Hai, whose minds had been suspended originally, were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

It’s not that Lin Feng truly had that much influence with millions of fans.

If it were Ye Qiu, he’d be willing to give it away for free.

Although Lin Feng couldn’t be compared to Ye Qiu, he was at the center of public opinion, the topic level was too high, and he happened to appear in the Tingfeng Garden neighborhood, recognized by fans, and nobody could guarantee that reporters wouldn’t write false stories.

Who knows if it would affect the neighborhood then!

For ten million, the developers didn’t want to take that risk.

Luckily, it was unit 03.

If it were unit 02, 256 square meters, it would have been a huge loss.

As for the ten million loss, it was all considered as advertising costs since one of Lin Feng’s ad endorsements was worth 18 million, so ten million wasn’t really a loss.

At this moment, the sales manager comforted himself. He didn’t know Lin Feng’s 18 million endorsement fee was a lifetime endorsement, otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so generous.

Upon hearing that Lin Feng bought two houses at a 30% discount, the onlookers were envious, but they didn’t expect the sales manager to offer the same discount to them. They knew such envy was unattainable.

With Lin Feng signing the agreement, customers who were planning to leave and look further around returned to the sales office, which allowed the sales manager to feel a bit of emotion.

”Dad, I want Building 1, around the 25th floor.” Jing Xiaotian said to her dad.

Jing Qiang walked towards the sales lady while teasing his daughter, ”Didn’t you say this morning you didn’t want to buy here?”

”That was this morning; now I want it.” Jing Xiaotian said matter-of-factly.

”Alright then, your dowry, your decision!”

Jing Qiang laughed. Even if his daughter didn’t mention it, he would still buy in Building 1.

Lin Feng was likely to become a major celebrity in the future, and being neighbors meant a huge connection, even if he didn’t want it in the future, there wouldn’t be any difficulty in selling, probably even making a small profit.

He wasn’t the only one thinking this way. Many others who originally felt the main tower was too expensive started asking the sales lady for prices, and one family even directly made a purchase.

”Dad, you’re the best.”

Seeing her father agree, Jing Xiaotian was overjoyed. Just then, her sister Jing Xiaoxun, with a flattering face, came up to her, ”Sis, can we talk about something? You wanted Diyun Pavilion, right? Let’s swap!”

Faced with her sister’s flattery, Jing Xiaotian was now feeling proud and haughtily said, ”Dream on!”
